The minute you walked in the joint
I could see you were a
man of distinction
a real big spender...
Good looking, so refined
Say wouldn't you like to know
what's going on in my mind
So let me get right to the point
I don't pop my cork
for every guy I see
Hey big spender
spend a little time with me...
now go spend some time looking at some tennis bracelets with me. my wrist feels naked. =)
srsly. when the radio commercials really start getting on your nerves- i say, visit a Shane Co. --- with your love-bug, even. they know their diamonds here. i loves it. the service is top-notch... and there's no awkward commission type sales and pressure to buy.
"Now you have a friend in the diamond business."
If you've lived in the Pacific Northwest for any length of time and have a radio you recognize that line. When I decided to pop the question and ask my GF to become my F and then my W I went to Shane Co. to get the rock and ring. I got about tree times the ring I would have gotten if I'd went to a mall jeweler and the service was excellent. It's also important to note that they have jewelers on site so any adjustments that need to be done to your ring can be done on site in a very fast manner (Usually a few days). The ring also does not leave the store so there are no worries about it getting lost.
I had a great experience and they have free warm cookies. Besides, who doesn't need a friend in the diamond business?
I did not purchase anything here, but when my brother asked my help to pick out an engagement ring for his then GF, I gave a resounding "Hell yes!"
I had gotten my engagement and wedding band from a mall jeweler because we found what we liked and bought it, but if I had to do it over again, I'd just go here to begin with.
Here's why Shane Co rules:
1. The radio ads. They are not annoying and make me intrigued to go here.
2. No pressure (and I mean NO PRESSURE) sales reps. They don't work on commission. In fact, once we got to the point of picking out a band, they passed off to someone else who is a "diamond expert." Which leads me to...
3. They know their product. Ask them everything and anything, they'll know the answer (even dimples on a golf ball, who knew?!)
4. "Natural lighting." In the diamond area, there's a skylight, along with natural lighting lights so the diamonds will look the way they do out in real life. Because, let's face it, no one lives in showcase lighting.
5. Extended warranty? Non-existent! All Shane Co. purchases are already covered by everything. Re-size? Redo white gold finish? All included.
6. Price. They do cut out the middle-man (Tom Shane ain't lying), so their prices are reasonable.
I found some pieces that I liked there, so when a big anniversary comes up, I know where to drag the hubby.
And by the way, my brother found a great ring which she loved (even if she didn't, you can return or exchange it!), and she obviously said yes, because my brother is such a catch. Yeah right.
