Moving and Storage Inc established in 1975 Shamrock Moving and Storage was founded in 1975 by Bob Fallon in San Francisco, CA. After learning his trade at another local mover, Bob started Shamrock with one truck and a mission: "Take care of the customer and the customer will take care of you" He and his family have followed this creed since the company's inception to great success. Bob & Barbara Fallon Bob & Barbara Fallon. Late 1970's We started with one employee, Bob himself and one truck and now operate almost 30 vehicles with about 45 employees across 3 locations. We now move over 3,000 people a year. There are no aspects of the business that the Fallon family are not involved in, whether it's our household and commercial moving operations, our vaulted storage which now has over 1600 vaults or our burgeoning receiving and delivery service we provide to a growing number of top designers and our new self-storage services which will complement our full service vaulted storage. We also now deliver to 9 western states

I am giving Shamrock Moving & Storage 5 Stars. I would give them 10 if I could. I worked with Victor and his team of 4. Shamrock packed my house, stored my furniture for 6 months, then when I finally found my new place to live, they delivered and unpacked everything. My furniture was wrapped with protective blankets and arrived with no damage. The whole team was so polite and accommodating. I don't want to move again for a very long time, but I told Victor I would hire them again in a heartbeat!!!

This is a solid no. The one star is to reflect that one positive experience I had with this company which was with Jose - the gentleman who came to my house to do an estimate.
I informed him of my need for boxes for our move before a scheduled surgery so I could pack as much as I could until I wouldn't be able to and he assured me it would be here on Tuesday 04/16 once I accepted their estimate. I called the office upon receipt of the estimate to move forward and I was asked for a credit card to hold the reservation. Little did I know this is a deposit which is forfeited should the scheduled move not happen.
Communication was non-existent.
I never heard back from them so I called the office and talked with someone by the name of Lisa who said I needed to have talked to the Jose's assistant. Hm... ok, how I would know that? She then proceeded to tell me said assistant would call me and I am still waiting for said call back up to this day.
As the days went by, and I never got any communication, I reached out. I grew incredibly anxious as this is a big move and I was afraid I would need to reschedule it.
I have called and emailed and no communication. So this morning, I decided to cancel the reservation as it is clear this is not a reliable company and was informed they charged me $ 378 deposit which I was forfeiting. No apologies for the lack of service delivery or lack of communication, all I received was an attitude. Thanks Lisa! Nothing like talking to some like you when recovering from a surgery and being overly stressed about a move. You were the icing.
Moving is a stressful experience as it is, but having to deal with companies that are not reliable and are not communicating makes it that much worse. What a regret. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.
I already submitted a dispute on the charge I didn't even know I would forfeit should the move not happen.

The team at Shamrock helped us move from one home to another in San Francisco. Having unfortunately experiences with movers, I found Shamrock to be AMAZING.
Victor and his team were on time, they were very careful with our furniture, they were nice, they were wiling to move all of our stuff (including our very heavy planters). Their estimate was also very accurate in terms of estimated number of hours to move our stuff.
Their pricing was consistent with 2 other moving companies...

From contacting Lisa and having her get everything set up for the move was much appreciated in less than 2 weeks. The movers showed up on time, were professional and worked very hard. The items were wrapped well and it was impressive how they got up and down the steps of the house. Highly recommend!

I've used Shamrock Moving twice in the last three years and every time, these guys impress me more and more with their efficiency and professionalism.
Everyone I've interacted with from Shamrock was helpful and responsive. From booking the move via the phone with Lisa, to the ordering and delivery of the moving boxes (very reasonable pricing, btw), to the actual movers, all of these guys deserve A+ for their excellent customer service!
Victor, Alberto, and Jose were the ones that helped me with my recent move. Not only were they professional and punctual, but they were also very careful with our furniture. The guys made sure all of the furniture were well protected. We have a very thin 65" OLED TV that my husband was very concerned about getting damaged during the move, but these guys were very careful with it so we had no issues. The guys also proactively asked me for felt pads once we got to the new house, so they can apply them to the feet of my furniture to protect against the hardwood floors. Best part, they did this without me asking! They followed my instructions well and had a great attitude all day. (moving is hard work!)
I really appreciate how hard these guys worked and how much pride they put into their work. Without a doubt, I will use Shamrock again for my future moves.

We initially used Shamrock to move 1/2 of our furnishings into a temporary home and 1/2 of our furnishings into one of their storage units until we moved into our long term home. We were so impressed with the team (professional, kind, and efficient). They did a great job understanding what was going into storage vs. what was going into our temporary home. After that initial move, our long term home has taken longer than planned so Shamrock has now moved more of our items into storage. Again, they did a great job making sure that move went smoothly. At one point recently I realized that I had put something into storage that I really needed. I called and Shamrock made both of our storage containers and a member from their team available to help me. I was in and out of their facility, goods in hand, in less than 15 minutes. Each time I've interacted with the Shamrock team, whether it's their office or the team on site, they have been so professional and accommodating. I just threw another scenario at them, I wanted some specific items in storage moved into a home on a tight timeline. They let me know that they will be able to accommodate me and it was on fairly short notice. By the time I get through my full move, I will have worked with Shamrock using just about all of their services. I have been very pleased and will definitely use them if I move again.

Got recommendations from my HOA for them and decided to give it a try. They impressed me over the phone so even though they were the most expensive out of all, I decided to go with shamrock. And they didn't disappoint.
Starting with Jose who came to do the estimate, he took maybe 10 minutes only but his assessment was so thorough and accurate!!! He was very helpful in giving me tips what to prioritize in packing and what not. Prior to the day, Kim made sure I knew what I needed to do and patiently answered all my questions.
On the move say, Victor, Alberto, Rigo and Jose showed up. They were awesome! My HOA is pretty strict and they are more familiar with all the rules than I am (well, I just moved in)- so that was very helpful especially knowing what to look for during pre- and post-move walk downs. As I unpack the boxes they packed, I am still amazed by their attention to details especially when they were packing the kitchen stuff, the breakables, etc. Yes, they are not cheap, but it's worth it! I have used Shamrock for my last two moves, from Oakland to SF in 2019 and within SF in 2022. Both times the movers were extremely helpful and professional. Fast service, no billing surprises, nothing broken, furniture properly dismantled and put back together, and they neatly packed up a lot of glassware, pictures and other breakable items from around the house. They were very friendly and helped me out with packing, after I told them I would have everything in boxes but then didn't manage to finish it. They also gave me some useful tips about how to properly pack for future moves. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend Shamrock to anyone who needs moving services and or storage! My husband and I moved out of San Francisco, and Shamrock moved and packaged our things, stored, and then eventually moved everything into our new East Bay home. Victor, Jose and one other gentlemen who's name I unfortunately didn't catch did both of our moves and they were professional, courteous, efficient and took great care with our things. We worked with Helen to book our move/storage, and she was always very responsive and helpful. We will absolutely use them again for our next move. Thank you Shamrock for making our moves as easy as can be and painless!

I used Shamrock Moving & Storage to move my one bedroom apartment. They did an OUTSTANDING job. The team arrived on time, packed everything efficiently and with care. Francisco, Gabriel & team did amazing work. Everything arrived in perfect condition. Francisco even tightened the screws on the dining room chairs when they arrived at their new home. This is the type of customer service that is hard to find these days. The office staff was courteous on the phone and via email. They followed-up on every question I had in a timely matter.
I have moved before and it has been painful. That was just not the case with Shamrock. I highly recommend them. The estimate was right on the money and there were no surprises. I will use them again and recommend them to others.
Last thing to add-- they were mindful of CDC guidelines and all 3 movers wore masks and did appropriate social distancing. The move was efficient and safe. THANK YOU Shamrock team!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
