Shadowlight Productions in association w/ Jewels of the Square in SF's Union Square had a FREE Greek shadow theatre by Leonidas Kassapides.  It was pretty neat & lots of funny parts.

We got there 1 hr before the show, the show was from 7-7:40pm.  They had live music by Greg Jenkins (clarinet), Alan Davidson (violin & strings) & Sandy Hollister (dumbek).

The puppets were funny looking and done w/ wooden sticks.  There was one guy and 1 woman doing the entire show even though it looks like more people should be helping out...Amazing.  Great w/ the live music.

Recommended if you ever get a chance to see them!

The theater is simply beautiful. i went there once, and it's gust me away. first of all, it's one of Colma oldest theater's....but, it has been updated about 10 years ago and it still makes some of the newer theaters look like nothing more than high school auditoriums, compared to this one. Great place to take a date. this theater also hosts some of the best stage plays, anywhere.

Using a giant screen and various light sources, Shadowlight creates shadow puppet theater on a grand scale!  Original stories are acted out with cool 2D puppets and live actors.  They often collaborate with other local artists too.  Check 'em out!
