10 reviews for Sexy Soup Cart
Sexy Soup Cart is all sorts of sexay. Not only is Kristin (soup lady) super nice and rocks this "down to earth" persona, but her organic soups are orgasmic! Granted, I've only been able to try her tomato ginger miso from the Eat Real Food Fest, it was seriously one of the most delightful and comforting cup of soup I've ever had. I loved that she had the option of serving it warm or chilled. I can't say I'm thrilled about chilled soup, but it was so flavorful, I'm sure I wouldn't have been bothered by it.
I'm hoping she comes out more with Fall approaching. I'll tackle the SF freeze just to get me a hearty cup of soup!
Kristin mentioned that she's a nutritionist in her normal life. How cool is that! Homemade organic soup prepared by a certified health professional. Definitely worth 5 stars!!
I was impressed when I first saw her really cool custom metal cart. And when you see her nice Calphalon cookware, it tells you right away that this is not ordinary street food. She uses the best ingredients cooked in top notch equipment. You get immediate confirmation after you taste the soup.
When she first got shut down I thought no soup for me. So I'm glad that she's back, with support from other food cart vendors.
Last night, I got the organic purple potato & parsnip (with dairy) soup - $4. Delicious!
CASH only.

Delicious soup.
Really it's about the happy communal joys of standing around in the street chatting with random people while you wait for your soup (or curry, or creme brulee or whatever randomness)
Really delicious soup too. Mmm mmm!
And now, the sexy soup lady to round out my street food craze reviews.
The soup was amazing and at $4 it could have just been mediocre. It was piping hot, veggie and served with a smile. Looking forward to my next close encounter with the cart kind.
I'd been meaning to try this soup cart for a few months and finally found her at the Eat Real Fest in Oakland in late August. She had a vegan tomato miso with bread from a local bakery and a cilantro garnish. They were serving it hot or cold, and since it was so hot out that day I had it cold. The fresh, cold, veggie soup tasted awesome and was super refreshing! Can't wait to track her down again!
Awesome affordable homemade roasted cauliflower soup, complete with crusty bread (which I turned down, as I had just procured a yummy olive loaf from Tartine).
Viva street food! I will be looking for Sexy Soup Cart again, as well as others in this biz...
I've been lucky enough to have many of the Sexy Soup Lady's soups (living in the Mission helps)!! They are always very fresh, delicious and well presented with a garnish, slice of organic baguette, and a smile. She'll even give you nutrition advice (she's a nutritionist by day) if the line isn't wrapped around the block!!
These are some of the soups so far... I guess the soup of the day depends on what the farmer's market has to offer:
Asparagus Cream
Carrot, Ginger, Coconut
Purple Potato and Leak
Caramelized Onion and Zucchini
Roasted, Curried Cauliflower
It's always worth the trip, but get there EARLY as the line is usually long and the supply is limited.
Check out the Sexy Soup Lady!
Sexy Soup Lady,
I adore you.
Please make your delicious, tasty concoctions available more frequently. The extent of the culinary prowess of some of some of your fans, such as myself, is on par with heating condensed soup over low to medium heat until boiling. Your soup actually makes me enjoy the idea of soup, rather than delegating it as fit for consumption only when my apartment has nothing but cheetos and mustard.
Sincerely,
Your secret admirer.
the lady was sexy, the soup not.
im sorry, but the caramelized onion and zucchini soup was very bland.
maybe her other soups are better.
