57 reviews for Seven Salon
After being victimized by Gene Juarez, I had a consultation with Seven to fix the mess. That was two years ago, and I haven't strayed from Seven since.
For those of you who love the so-called "trendy" and "urban" (ahem, Bellevue-ites), you'll enjoy the vibe (DJ, coffee/tea, dark chocolate, stylists with GREAT shoes).
For the rest of you...dont' be turned off by the loud music and hipsters in black. Seven knows what they're doing, and they really deliver on their promise: haircuts to suit your bone structure. Don't be intimidated--the stylists are friendly, professional, and talented!
**Tip: Sometimes the BSquare Nordstrom girls at the beauty counter have coupons for first timers. It's a clever way for Seven to draw in clientele.
This is the place I consistently go to to get my hair done. Though I don't have a regular stylist, two have really stood out in the past couple of years: Claire and Jennifer. Claire is awesome at listening to what you really want and styling it in such a fun way, especially when you're looking to make a huge change. Jennifer seems to just kind of know what your hair should be, even if you're indecisive on what you want.
Yes, it gives off an air of pretension, but c'mon, it's Bellevue, and it's sort of wickedly funny because I've never seen so many imaginative ways to incorporate black in your wardrobe. Like the DJ, like the tea/water, and love the chocolate (though I didn't get one last time... wait... one strike).
Little-publicized: they do give a prime card discount.
Talk about bad hair day, this place made it worse!
How do I put it in words of how much I dislike this salon.
First thing First, they are suppose to live up to their name "7 Salon"! Well for one thing, their CUSTOMER SERVICE sucks. Yes, their contemporary up beat interior is pretty rad but, seriously their service sucks a donkey's ass.
It was my first time foiling my hair. I thought it would be a cool look for the summer, but sorry ass 7 foiled it to orange?!? WTH?!? The disturbing part was, the stylist knew she messed up with my coloring and decides to pass me along to someone else who is a.k.a someone who is not even a licensed stylist.
What the heck 7?!? Anyways, no one walked me up to check out. Usually at GOOD QUALITY salons, your stylist walk up with you to elaborate how good your hair turned out and try to get you to reschedule with them and blah..blah..blah.. The point is, I did not get that type of service and for sure 7 hair products sucks.
Never again will I pay for a $200.00 service for cut and color at this place.
Def a rip off and a hole in your pocket!!!
Dari White is awesome! She is an expert at COLOR. She does great foil jobs. I get a partial foil, and have been going to Dari for years. She really pays attention, and doesn't have fixed palettes, but adjusts her ideas for the season, your skin tone, and even the colors you like to wear. I always enjoy my time with Dari. She is also GREAT at fixing messes other colorists have made!
Just went here for a hair cut with Daisy and she was such a sweetheart. I am very pleased with my haircut... Overall, from the second I walked in, I'd say I was impressed. Its very unique... feels edgy and dark... The service was extremely tentative and im amazed that they can keep track of everyone. Love the espresso bar and DJ above it. Very cool. It was very loud so i had to shout to talk with my stylist but thats part of the fun. I'd say i knock off a star because it just seems like a mess... not so much a spa experience more a lively place to get a haircut... I'd say too many stations. 4 stars seems appropriate.
Wow, alot of mixed reviews. I can see were some people would give a lower rating for the desk staff. They aren't the most friendly, and I have had issues with them messing things up. However, on a whole this place is great. The main reason for that is because of my stylist Ashley (spelling?). I really like her. It is hard for me to find someone who knows how to cut my hair well, and she definitely does a great job every time. I actually like the music loud- having a live DJ is cool. But, I could see how that wouldn't be everyone's thing. I like the free drink and water you get. That's a nice touch.
ALEX ALEX ALEX!!!! Seriously request Alex he is the BEST!! The only reason I came in to Seven to start off was because he donated a free cut/color to a charity auction and I bid on it and won- it was the best decision ever!
I really think your stylist is what makes your experience. He can tell when I'm in a talkative mood, or just want to chill and sit back while he works his magic. And he always spends extra time massaging your scalp and neck during the shampoo! The nicest, most attentive guy with a great eye for hair coloring.
I haven't visited this salon since my horrible experience a few years back. I don't remember who my stylist was but that doesn't matter. If they were a good salon, I would probably still give them business. But sadly they are not.
I had the same experience as a few reviews I have read here and thought I needed to add my two cents. Maybe if the salon owner realizes how customers are being treated, they will change? I won't hold my breath but I will have a glimpse of hope.
There was absolutely no customer service. No hello, no smile, not even a glance. I had to introduce myself, before anyone at the front desk helped me. Then they quickly checked me in and walked me into their dressing area. Mind you she didn't say, "Please follow me..." or "Let me show you to..." She just started walking, so I assumed I would follow.
My stylist was rather nice and sweet. But she had no idea what she was doing. She kept asking how she should cut my hair. I am not a stylist, so I don't know what would look best, what type of layers, etc. I want my stylist to be the expert and suggest what will look great with my face, not the other way around. One thing she did seem to know best was where my part should be. That was one thing I insisted not to change... it has been on the same side for years and my hair doesn't even want to go the other way. So I am not sure why she knew that was the best when everything else she needed me to guide her.
$70 later I leave with a basic trim, layered through out, and a new part that I hated. The service was bad, the hair cut even worse, and this is why I will never return even if they gave me a complimentary voucher. Thank goodness I found a fantastic salon and great stylist at Salon Moxi. I have given Trista at Salon Moxi business for over 2 years and don't plan to look back.
It's trendy and hip, there's a live DJ, and all the hairdressers, front desk, and hair sweeper peoples are gorgeous, but the cuts just aren't anything special.
I grew up having my mom cut my hair and scheduled my first legitimate haircut EVER here a few years ago after hearing some rave reviews. I came in with stick straight hair down the middle of my back... basically a clean slate. I wanted something simple, but cute with layers and bangs. She basically just trimmed my hair, gave me a few layers that I couldn't see, and did some side bangs. My stylist was nice and did a decent job, but it wasn't remarkable.
It is nice that Seven offers free bang trims in-between cuts though. The location is convenient -- located right outside Nordstrom on the main level of Bellevue Square, and it makes me feel super trendy saying I got my hair cut at Seven, but I just don't think it's worth the price (starting at $50 for a basic cut). There are much better salons out there.
i just love Christine there. She has been cuting my hair for a couple of years. She is consistant and alwasy a pleasure to be around. I love the special touch of sending me a card every now and then!
I actually am really shocked by some of the reviews I'm reading! I go to the salon in Seattle and it's fantastic! The people who work there are amazingly friendly and helpful! I love love LOVE the atmosphere and free lattes!!
I saw one girl there initially (I won't name her because I'm not trying to ruin her reputation) but she did have an enormous problem staying on schedule. She was always 20 minutes late for my bang trims so (GASP!!) I changed stylists! Now I see Glen and I absolutely love him! He did a fantastic job on my hair, and this wasn't just a trim either - it was a drastic change in style!
I have yet to have anything bad to say about this place and I've been there 4 times for various things.
I definitely DO NOT think they're overpriced, and I come from 15 years of Gene Juarez haircuts. And those are the biggest ripoff EVER!
Try this place in Seattle (apparently not Bellevue) and go see Glen!! You'll love him!
After going here a few times and trying out 3 different stylists I've come to the verdict, I'm ready to try a new place.
a. Seriously the lighting in here sucks. You're getting your hair colored one color in there, and you come out and its something else. I always end up with darker hair than I wanted because of the "lighting"
b.Music... please stop.. it hinders the communication with the stylist.
c. I think the stylists here only have 2 things in life... 1 love life 2. work. out of the MANY times I've been there ALL the staff wanted to talk about is their love life or find out about yours... OMG! seriously! there is more to life!
d. If my appointment is at 11am I expect to be started by 11:10, especially if I get there on time. not 11:30... never have i had an appointment start on time! even when i get there early! Ugh!
Overall they know how to do their job (cut hair, and color) but they don't have anything different from any other chain salon
verdict ... its on its way to being the next "Gene Juarez"

I've had my hair colored 2 times and cut once here (all by the same person) and so far I've liked… Read more »
I recently went to 7 for the first time and didn't really know what to expect. I went on a Monday as that is the only day they don't have an in-house DJ and I didn't want it to be too loud. I was impressed with the customer service and I didn't have to wait once I arrived.
The haircut was decent, I used a 50% off coupon and would go back if I had another one, but probably wouldn't pay the full amount for the cut I recieved. I was impressed by the way they handle tips - I always feel uncomfortable handing over cash or directly handing someone a tip. At 7 they have little envelopes you place the tip in and deposit it discreetly for your stylist to collect later - Really liked that!
I decided to get my hair cut after receiving a complimentary haircut coupon from Nordstrom, and hearing raves about the salon from a friend of mine.
My stylist was Charlie, and she was amazing. She was genuine and gave me great feedback as to what type of haircut/how I should part my hair would compliment my face. The complimentary vanilla latte and piece of chocolate were a great plus too.
The only downsides are:
1) Price [I'm a college student - I'd only continue coming here if I were in dire need of a hair fix or received another complimentary haircut coupon]
2) TURN DOWN THE MUSIC!!! I had a bit of trouble hearing what Charlie was saying to me, but luckily it seemed like she didn't have trouble hearing me :P
Customer service? Expert stylists? Huh? My first visit will be my last.
Office Staff: I called for directions and got a snippy, though accurate, answer. Nobody said hello when I walked in. I had to pick one of a few receptionists and go stand in front of her like, "Hi, I'm a customer. You might want to, you know, provide customer service and say hello or something." After putting on a robe I had to track down a staff person, then I was left on a bench near the dressing room for 15 minutes with no word of when to expect my stylist. The office girl didn't actually even say, "It'll be just a minute" or "I'll go get your stylist. " She just wandered off in a breezy sort of way. I did get a water, that was nice, I needed it for the wait.
Stylist: Aiyana seemed nice enough, but she really gave off the vibe that she just wanted to get the heck out of there. I was her last appointment of the day and it showed, bigtime. She cut some layers in to my long hair and when she showed me the back I politely pointed out that one side was cut in a "chunky" way but the other side was smooth, so the chunky side looked shorter.
Her reply was, "Your hair just grows that way." WHAT! I'm positive it did not "grow that way" when I sat down in her chair.
Then she did the pull test to prove it was even on both sides. But, it didn't LOOK even, so what's the point of proving to me that it's cut evenly if it looks terrible?
I was literally stunned at her attitude. I sat there staring at her with my mouth open, totally blown away. Eventually she said, "Well, I guess I can texture it." Yeah, that would be great.
In the end, I had an uncomfortable evening and my haircut looks ok. It does not look like the $65 of goodness that I would expect from an upscale salon.
Overrated!! Lets get back to hair cut basics people!!!
1. Turn down the effing music! I can barely hear my stylist talk
2. Turn UP the lights!! helloooo, your dealing with color!!! Why in gods name would you want to have a dark salon!?
3. Don't hire people straight out of beauty school
Went to dye my hair. It was all good, until I saw the dye on my forehead under the sunlight. Almost had to peel off my skin to get the dye washed out.
I love this salon!
Have had my haircut several times here.
THe place itself is really nice. Good ambience, and sometimes DJ will show up for the music.
They give you latte/tea & dark chocolate that you can enjoy while getting your haircut.
So I tried Aviva for the first time last month due to yelp rave reviews.
I was opting for long haircut + bangs, but the one that she gave me was one of the worst bang I have ever had in my life.
I have thick hair, and she only cut a few layer for my bang, which made my hair looked unproprtional.
The bang also did not connect with the rest of the hair, it lacked the flow and smoothness.
Some of my friends even asked if I cut the bang myself. I was so disappointed because I spent $80 just for the HAIRCUT itself.
Then I came in and had Jessica fixed it. She was awesome! She was really nice, sincere, and most importantly she was a GENIUS. she was able to transform the choppy / awkward bang that Aviva gave me and turned it into beautiful bang.
I'm definitely going to see her again
Donny is "away" for an extended stay somewhere, so I am commenting on the gentleman that asked where he was.
I will not go back.
I loved donny as a sylist (though i knew he lacked in bedside manner), but I went back to my true love of Richard Brassfield at the Hair Lounge (fed way).
The HC was over $100, the Color was PERFECT buttery blonde, but he hacked my hair off in an odd "cut off" with the sylist next to him. The other guys client and I were looking at each other with wide eyes going "GULP".
The atmosphere was CRAZY with the DJ, reall loud, I could barely hear Donny talk about what was going on in his life. We have mutual friends, so he was more like a friend than my stylist.
I totally dig the coffee, the cookies, but I agree with everyone else, too much hype for the cost. I thankfully will drive my butt 45 minutes into Federal Way for the best stylist in the world from now on!
oh....did i mention that my head was actually bleeding after I got brushed out from the rinse and cut?! and the shirt that i was wearing under the gown has a giant bleach stain down the back of it ...
I just don't think i'm cool enough to go back in there, I forgot to wear my ALL BLACK uniform like everyone else there....
My haircut was great and ended up being all that I wanted..although I just moved to seattle I didn't think what I wanted was rocket science (I have long hair..just wanted nice layers..sexy hair). Wel after researching online I saw a ton of positive reviews for David..he was great and was very friendly etc. I'm giving it 3 stars because although David was great and I liked the cut $100 is waaay too much to spend on a cut..I lived in Los Angeles and never paid that much at nicer salons.
I wasn't big on the loud music and fast paced environment..or maybe my ass is just getting old!
I don't know, this place is fine but I've never run out of here feeling like a glamour queen or anything.
I trust the stylists' knowlege and appreciate their technical ability, but they've never done anything exceptional to my hair.
Went to Seven for the first time last winter on a referral from a coworker. New in town and I swear it is harder to find a stylist that a DR. Hello! I was given an appointment and a bit nervous about trying to find the right fit with a new person.
Ezekiel is the man! He does fabulous color. He gives great cuts. Best of all - he is a really awesome person. He is a rock star! Get the idea?
Salon is a bit loud, but the music and mood can be great in the evening after a long day of work. Always met with a smile. I love their products, especially Penetrate which is a deep conditioner.
A bit pricier than I was used to, but will keep going back! Love the convenience of being at Bel Square. Cut a little. Shop a little.
I would highly recommend Ezekiel. You can't help but love him!
Wow. Just wow. This salon is everything I could ever ask for. Unfortunately I live in LA, so I have to take special trips to Seattle/Bellevue just to get my hair cut. (I suppose I could find a place down here, but frankly I don't want to)
The ambiance is great....and so is the espresso bar and the DJ. But that's not what I'm here to talk about, friends.
Kaycie is a dream! She has walked me through two fairly dramatic haircuts that have been easy to replicate outside of the salon environment. She's been upfront and honest with me about what works with my face shape, hair type and color. She is probably the best stylist I've ever worked with. I walk out of Seven always feeling superhot and stylish. Go there...now!
Basically put, I can agree with some of the banter about too hip. I have had one bad cut while going here, but they even called me to see how it went with a new stylist and turned around and gave me an appointment with Joe on the house, ever since then I've kept with him because I get a consistently good cut. I have hair from hell so I have to be picky about who cuts it and Joe is damned good.
In need of great style and glow! Just set up my appointment for next month to go in for my highlights and trim! Seven is amazing, been going here for 6 months and am very happy. I just wish my guy was a bit less booked!
chugga... chugga.. woot wooot...all aboard the SEVEN train, and I am the conductor! I am now a brunette again--what a transformation. At the Yelp event most people had to take a second look to see if it was me. I am just beyond impressed with Seven--YET AGAIN! They never cease to amaze me. I, like most people, are having to cut back (yes pun intended) on many "extras" in my life. And, unfortunetly going to Seven was one that I was not willing to give up, but I just have to modify somewhat to make it work within my budget. So--I was on Craigslist, no real reason, and I ran across an ad for a hair model. This means, for free, I was going to get my hair done. I did hesitate for fear of upsetting and feeling guilty about not using my wonderful stylist, but as I was reading the ad, I was surprised and delighted to find out I would possibly be a hair model for a student at Seven. HOW PERFECT! I knew my stylist would understand considering she went through the same process, and I will be returning to her! DUH--she rocks. I don't even have to think when she is doing my hair.
So, I wrote back and was happy to have an appt. and the day off to go and expereince Seven, Pacific Place style (I normally go to the Bellevue location). When I arrived I was a bit unsure about the process, but I shouldn't have been. I was treated as a real paying customer. Lattes, water, wonderful customer service, it was all there just as before.
I enjoyed myself thoroughly. I really began to understand the process these stylists go through to become a member of the Seven team. I was also impressed, and not worried at all about my hair because there was always an instructor there--I mean they were really watching and caring,as I am sure they always are. Everyone treated me well. I have to admit, I am not a person who freaks out about my hair--I was open to whatever they wanted to do--and in true Seven style, they did what would look best on me. They took into account my face shape, eye color, and the features of my face that should be standing out. Wow--a lot of work!
I was there all day, but if I was going to be anywhere, and yes I have said this before, I would want to be at Seven all day long. Dream come true.
I do not want to write too much, but I want to make it clear that I am not writing this to encourage people to leave their hairstylists to be a hair model, nor do I encourage seeking out being a hair model, becuase it is not for everyone, but I just want to reinforce the experience Seven gives to you, no matter who you are.
When you walk in, it can be intimidating. The beauty of the Pacific Place salon had me captivated, but the human interaction and kindness you get from the moment you walk in is what really makes my heart go thud!
Thanks Seven!

Making the Trek to BFE... I mean Siberia, I mean hell, I mean Bellevue. I am not a fan of bellevue. I definitely prefer the city, but my stylist, Sonya, has decided to leave my seattle salon and come to seven salon. This salon had a really good atmosphere. I like how there is an espresso bar and you get a little piece of chocolate. This place definitely seems to edgy for bellevue.
Also, like always Sonya does a great job and I would follow her anywhere.
Seven Salon is great! I feel like my hair is pretty difficult to cut and I've never been really happy in the past when I've gone to other high-end salons. This is probably due to the fact that I'm indecisive and usually just tell the hairstylist to do whatever they think will look best...which always ended up being boring, long layers.
Then for a few months I had my ex-boyfriend cut my hair....
...Let's just say I was a hot mess when I finally found Arpad at the Bellevue Square salon. Thank God. I feel comfortable with him and usually just go off of whatever suggestion he has. I've been to him twice now and both times, I've gotten SO many compliments. Definitely the best haircuts of my life. Plus, they give you a complimentary drink and dark chocolate. Can't beat that!
I would DEFINITELY suggest going to Arpad. Make sure to book ahead of time because it seems like his appointments fill up.
The only downside is the DJ...don't get me wrong, I like music but it's really hard to maintain a conversation without having to yell and repeat yourself a bunch.
Hair is an important feature. It's usually incredibly undervalued as a beauty trait but makes the greatest impact. It can do a lot of things for your face if it's working, or mess a lot of things up if its not. I'm pretty high maintenance about who cuts my hair (typically I fly to LA to get my hair cut). But since I had recently moved to Seattle and was in desparate need of a cut, I decided to get a quick chop from a friend's recommendation.
7 is an odd proportion of 25% club, 75% hair salon. The place most clearly resumbles the night club Tao in Vegas. For me it was a little intimidating. I'm not a "change-in-to-a-robe-to-get-a-haircut" kind of person. But really the cut is what matters. I saw Tara and she is 5 stars. The only minor issue I have is that her haircuts tend to grow out unshaply. So instead of being able to go 2-3 months without a cut, I am back in the salon every 6 weeks. She does a good job of pointing out what works for your face shape and features which is probably the most important thing to a cut.
I didn't give it 5 stars because of the live DJ (the music is really loud and doesn't make for a great experience) and for the (sometimes) standoffish receptionists.
Spendy, but a great haircut experience!
After reading the reviews here on Yelp, and observing the splity ends of my hair tangling with every stray Spring breeze, I decided I really needed a trim. However, as I'm growing my hair out to donate again for Locks of Love, I didn't want too much taken off.
Fortunately, Erin had one last appointment and so there I was at 7:30PM, being whisked from one cheerful, black-garbed attendant to another until she led me to her station and began assessing the damage.
My hair is beautiful, flattering and gorgeous. I love how it looks as though it's always been this way, instead of being a rat nest halfway down my back. Now it's bouncing and healthy, like something out of a shampoo commercial.
I love you, Erin!
They have their own DJ (who was on a 1982 music kick for quite a while) and barista. If they had curbside pick up and drop off, it would be perfect.
I dropped in here on a whim and they fit me in without an appointment. I discovered that if I had a nightmare about a hair salon, Seven would be the salon This place gave me a headache. I enjoy haircuts not just for the cut, but for a bit of relaxation. If you're like me, then avoid Seven. The blasting music made me feel like I was in Abercrombie and Fitch. The place is packed like a nightclub. There were tons of employees just milling around and the hair washing area was packed. Weird.
I should have known when I walked in and saw fifteen people milling behind the front counter that this place was Gene Juarez on crack. Everyone was very nice and helpful, but it was too overwhelming for me.
Anyways, I have to say that I am happy with my haircut and I really liked my stylist who was the cheapest there ($50). If you're only concerned with getting a good haircut then this is a dependable place to go. However, I think you can get a good cut and avoid the migraine and $50 price tag elsewhere.
Oh, and I am so tired of having 10 products pushed on me at the end of my cut ... ugh! I know this is how they make money, but it's one of the things that bugs me about my regular salon Habitude.
Great cut, but I won't be going back.
Michael is a hair master. I just realized that sounds like Hairmasters which is pretty much the farthest thing from what 7 salon is. At first I thought it was too trendy/potentially pretentious for a pretty low maintenance girl like myself but trust me, it's worth it, definitely not pretentious, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Plus, live DJ? Who does that in a salon?
I hear he's moved back to the newly renovated downtown salon which will be better for him but if you can afford him ($100 for cut) see Michael. I trust him COMPLETELY and he takes great pride in his work. My sister has been seeing him for four years and she swears her life on him, he is amazing. He did her hair on her wedding day (it was beautiful) and even walked over to the Nordstrom M.A.C. counter to stand up for her because they were not cooperating and being rude to her (on her wedding day!!). I love him. He was so cute the first time he cut my hair (my sister paid for it)because he made me close my eyes until he was finished cutting my bangs so that I could be surprised. Best. Haircut. In. My. Life. Unfortunately, I am a teacher and cannot afford him... so...maybe someday.
I also had my hair styled from someone else for my sister's wedding - the girl told me she styled the Sea Gals hair and gave my hair MAD volume so I felt like a Sea Gal - she ensured me that it would fall and sure enough, it fell and I got compliments all night.
I have an appointment with Tara ($50) from a glowing referral from a best friend (I read the review below so that makes me even more excited!) pretty excited. I'll let you know how it turns out.
I got a fantastic haircut here. I also got a latte and a piece of dark chocolate. Go see Sonia, she does a great job!
"Do you want anything to drink?"
"Can I check your coat in?"
"Can we sprinkle rose petals on the walkway to your salon chair?" *
ok.. they didn't say the rose petal one, but I wouldn't mind if they did. :)
I would have never expected such amazing and spectacular treatment ever at a hair salon. Never! Before I would'ved despised high-class salons, because they always gave me a cut that I could've done myself. Boy, did this place change my mind about luxury hair cuts forever. This place hands down beats Gene Juarez in the haircutting department in service and hospitality.
I found this place by accident. I was cruising on the world wide web when someone offered a deal I couldn't pass up. Booked a time and I was off to get my hair trimmed. It has been months since I actually done anything to it. It doesn't help that Seattle is so laid back and casual. We, Seattlites heart Rei! Who can blame us.
Location:
They have two salon locations, Bellevue and the other one in DT Seattle. I visited their Bellevue location which is tucked right inside the mall on first floor next to Nordy's.
The first thing you'll notice is the huge stone sculpture in their window. You head in and is promptly greeted by staff who's sporting their trendy black outfits. Everybody wore black!
The decor, the line of mirrors and floor space has a modern feel. Very simple and classy. You get so caught up with the place you might not even notice the DJ mixing tunes in the over croft as hair stylists are clipping away down below! It's freak-in awesome!
Service:
They had me robe up, check in my jacket, handed me my requested bottled water and cookie to munch on as they examine my face structure. Once they figured out that my face shape and the volume of my hair, they escorted me to do a light shampoo and conditioning. Went back to my chair to have her trim me away. She was supervised by two British instructors, their accent swooned me over.
Every snip was precise and there was no room for error. She snipped and trimmed. Then gave me tips to straighten my hair with only a hair dryer and comb. Styled it with only three products (typically they give me at least 4-5 different ones because of the volume, but not here!) and I was on my way out. I was glowing for hours.
Price:
Starting at $50 and up.
If you get a hair cut with Rodger its $200. o_O!!
Overall experience:
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Though I didn't pay the amount they listed, they gave me Hollywood treatment, no matter how casual and poor I looked. I wouldn't have changed anything, well besides the rose petal part.... Enjoy!!
Woke up one morning - looked in the mirror and screamed "OMG!! My roots!!!"
Went to Bellevue square to do some shopping and thought I'd try my luck and walked into 7 and asked if I could have the earliest possible appointment for a half head.
5 mintues later I had a cappucino and a water along with the latest issue of Wallpaper in my hand. I was in heaven.
An hour and a half later I walked out with the best coloring done in a long time. Last time was in Milwaukee of all places..granted this was double the price but still at $115...awsome hair for that price..which is standard.
Oh and ladies,..make sure you check out the handsome guy with a Turkish/Greek look to him. ::drool::
Seattle would be a prettier place to look at with much better hair styles if Erin did everyone's hair. So even if you don't read the rest of this review, read this. IF YOU ARE READING REVIEWS OF SEVEN, IN HOPES OF FINDING A HAIRSTYLIST TO MAKE YOU LOOK MORE GLAMOROUS, PRETTIER OR WANT A NEW LOOK. BOOK ERIN. YOU WILL NEVER EVER REGRET IT!
I have to hold myself back from skipping into and from Seven. That is how much pleasure and glee I get visiting Seven. I now see Erin completely for my haircuts and color. I have never ever been monogamous to a hairdresser before now. I have always been a complete hair slut and the flavor of the week in both hairdressers and hair salons always got my attention and lured me somewhere new. There is NOTHING that could lure me from Erin. I love her to pieces, and the girl has SKILLS! How often to you find a kick ass salon, with a hairstylist and colorist who has the Midas touch, and is hilarious, gorgeous and intelligent?!? With this said no matter how long you are at Seven it will never feel long enough, because you will be sad the minute you have to leave her chair. I can barely wait five weeks before I am clawing the walls to get into Seven for my hair fix and sin repentance (I tell my hairstylist everything!)
Up until today I have always had long layered hair. It has varied from being a medium length to very long since I was a child. I have never had nor desired to have short hair. Ever since the first time I saw Erin she has wanted to cut my hair short. Today I decided to put my head in her hands and told her not to talk to me about it, just start cutting and do whatever she thought best. I now have short hair. Normally at any other salon and with any other hairdresser I would be panicking, but I didn't even have my heart race because I trust her, completely! It is longer in the front and the back is short and stacked with a nice swooped bang. I LOVE IT! I was jumping up and down in my chair, and couldn't stop hugging her! As Erin said, "you are single, sassy and sexy, your hair shouldn't just be pretty it should be just as styled as you." It is the perfect haircut for my personality, style, faceshape, and hair type! The girl is also a master at color and has made the absolute perfect brunette color for me for the fall. We have big plans for winter and even bigger for spring (we are going to make me an extreme auburn!!!!!!!!)
I also was extremely skeptical about them having their own product line. I thought it was just another way for them to get more $$$ from me. I have never had the products crammed down my throat nor pushed on me in any way. Over my last visits I have started to convert my products to Seven Products. They are amazing!!!! The products that Seven does not carry Erin recommends to me as well.
Seven brings out the inner princess in everyone. Except me they bring out the outer princess, the inner princess was released long before Seven's arrival in my life.

I feel so pretty ohhh so pretty! That has been the song playing in the background everywhere I go… Read more »
I work in Redmond and live in Seattle so Bellevue Square is conveniently located on the way home for me.
One day I really needed a haircut and I was able to get a last minute appointment. The stylist available was named 'Tara' and because that is my name, I thought that meant good karma.
Turned out, I was right and 3 styles later we are still going strong. In fact, I am going to see her today.
The vibe at 7 is OK..the music is a bit much if I have had a long day...don't get me wrong, I love the DJ and all, and I am big into getting my groove on, but sometimes I just want to sit back and relax and get shampoo'd and a nice head massage without my ears bleeding.
The green tea and piece of chocolate makes up for it, sometimes.
Bottom line, I continue to go back for Tara. Oh, and the product is pretty good too.
0 STARS!!!!! This place is horrible. I wish I listened to my boyfriend when he told be about how one of his friends went to beauty school for 6 months and now works at SEVEN right after she graduated.
Well the lady who cuts my hair for the past 7 years decides to move to Canada and I seriously needed a hair cut. I kept hearing all those radio commercials so I gave in and decided to make an appointment for a haircut. So I called on a Friday afternoon and set an appointment for 6pm that evening. I got there at 5:50 and checked in and got my horrible latte and chocolate and was told that my hairdresser was running late and she should be ready shortly. So I read magazines and after 1 hour, I was tired of waiting. Went to the front desk and asked how much longer and she tells me 1 hour since my appointment is at 8pm. Well I was mad since the girl told me 6pm but apparently it was 8pm in their appointment book but I was even more mad on how I checked in 2 hours in advance and she didn't let me know that I was 2 hours early. The salon is inside a mall and next to Nordstrom and I could of done some shopping instead of sitting there scanning magazines and looking at the clock. But they got me in at 7:45pm.
The girl who cut my hair had no idea on what she was doing. I wanted a trim to about shoulder length and a little bit of layers. But right when she told me to put my head down and she did the first snip... I could feel on the back of my neck that its 5 inches shorter that what I wanted. I freaked out and was like that's way too short and she tried to fix it by giving me a bob. After my 20 minute haircut, I wasn't a happy camper. The haircut looked horrible. One side was a little bit longer and one side had layers when the other side didn't. She offered to fix it but I didn't want her to cut off anymore hair. They did give me a 50% discount since I waited and didn't like my cut. I just paid and didn't give a tip since I didn't want to speak to a manager or cause a scene. I just wanted out of there and to climb into cave where no one can see my hair. So I basically stayed home all weekend. I didn't leave the house unless I had a hoodie. I went on yelp and searched for salons. I decided on Salon Juno in International District but I had to wait until Monday evening. So I called in sick on Monday since I didn't want anyone to see me.
my hair looks great now and I learned a valuable lesson. I should of checked Yelp first and never get a haircut by someone under the age of 30.
I always walk out of here feeling just ok. The haircut isn't anything special. I only came here for a while because my hairstylist moved here from another salon. She started only being $75 (which I thought was a little steep, but was still willing to pay because she did such a great job). The last time I went there, she had raised her prices to $120! wtf!! Considering I only get a couple inches off every time I get a haircut, it is totally not worth it! I don't get how this place is going to stay in business. The only people that will be coming here after a while are all the rich Bellevue people. If they lowered their prices to accommodate everyone I would definitely return.
Cut and foil with Francisco: (disclaimer: I let him do whatever he wanted, so I don't know how it would be if you had a strong opinion, but) for the first time in my life I feel comfortable and cute wearing my hair curly AND I can make the style look like it did when I left the salon thanks to his pointers... So happy! Totally worth the price.
(my husband also practically jumped me when I got home, if that's any indication of the quality of the cut)
