Review from Patrick V.
Lomita, CA
We stayed there on our way to Portland around the 4th of July this year. This is a beautiful little casino! The pool is one of the best I have ever enjoyed. First off the water is so perfectly warm and clean. The pool area is so big that even though there were a lot of people it never felt crowded. They have a nice locker room area with showers that we used and this kept the commotion in the room down to a minimum.
The breakfast in the morning was so nice and convenient.
My wife hit a $300 jackpot which topped off our stay nicely. Very nice place to stay. Too bad it's so far from my home in So Cal. -

Eugene, OR
We drove down from Eugene on a Friday evening. It's a very short drive and super convenient to take I-5. Our plan was to stay two nights. We brought a 12 year old with us.
Cow Creek for dinner Friday night. 20 minute wait with a LOT of empty tables. Most waitstaff seemed to be milling around like zombies. We were sat, and waited at least 10 minutes (husband says 20) before anyone ever came to our table. I finally got up and asked the host, at which time we finally saw a server. Food was fine. Son got a hamburger, husband a chicken sandwich and I, grilled cheese. Really hard to get re-fills on drinks. Dirty dishes (salad plate, empty glasse) sat on our table the entire meal.
Casino was SUPER smoky. I could not stand how smoky it was. My eyes were red within 10 minutes. I never had anyone come offer me a drink, so I finally had to go into the sports bar to get a beer.
Gave up and took son to the pool He had spent the past hour at the arcade with Dad, which he loved. Pool was great. Son splashed, made friends, and played until 10p, which is when minors had to be out.
Back to the room for TV. Easy to connect free wi-fi. Great bathroom, really modern, large, with wall-mounted dispenser for shampoo/shower products. I like a hotel that doesn't just say 'use your towel twice' to save the environment but has actually taken design steps to eliminate waste. The room was large, with a refrigerator and super effective blackout curtains. A great touch for the next day's unusually sunny February morning.
Unfortunately, the walls are paper thin, we could hear every laugh, every comment, and every shrieking toddler walking down the hall. This is bad.
Next morning we went to the free breakfast, where husband announced he could not find anything to eat. It was a lot of rolls, biscuits, and danishes. All carbs, no protein.
That sent us back at Cow Creek, a place which I would have given anything not to return to. However, this go-round we had a very good waitress who actually brought my husband an entire pitcher of soda after he mentioned that he would need regular re-fills. Breakfast was good. Crisp bacon, crisp hash browns, nicely done eggs, etc. It was somewhat ruined again by a very awkward hostess who didn't make eye contact, but pointedly and loudly declared "The kids menu is for UNDER TEN" when she brought the requested piece of paper. Uh, okay. We didn't know that and kiddo ordered from it last night. We aren't cheap people. Feeling crappy, we encouraged son to skip the pancakes and order a waffle from the adult menu.
We discussed how not-great-a-time we were having overall. Feeling like we'd seen all of Seven Feathers, and loathe to repeat it all again we packed up, checked out, and headed home. We would not consider going back. When you miss Vegas, this does not make up for it. -

Wenatchee, WA
We stayed here on our way to Phoenix. The hotel makes a good first impression, but from the lobby to our first floor room the cigarette smoke smell was overwhelming. The room had outdated decor with frayed comforters, however the beds were very comfortable. The room lacked a fridge and a microwave. The walls were very thin as we could hear the dogs barking next door almost like they were in our room. We too had a dog and the hotel was very dog friendly. They charged an extra $20 to have a dog in the room which is a fairly typical amount. The staff we encountered were friendly and professional.

This is a whole resort, there are good parts and bad parts to it.
The Good:
The pool, good size, heated, and two nice jacuzzi's next to it. There is also a nice steam room there too. One down side to the pool is that there is not much seating around the pool.
The Spa services were very nice. My wife got a massage and her nails done. She loved the service and felt that they did a very nice job.
The Casino was nice, not huge but it did the job and the staff was friendly.
The Bad:
The rooms, there were about the same as a motel six. No fridge, no safe, no microwave. Just beds and a t.v. The wi-fi was very slow. Walls were paper thin. I could hear every conversation from the rooms next to us as well as the people walking in the room above us.
The food. Yes, I am a chef and I do have high expectations for food, but even my wife though the food was bad. Cow Creek restaurant food was terrible. Vegetables were frozen, mashed potatoes were instant, so was the gravy, the rib eye was not seasoned at all. They had a free breakfast in the morning, the only problem was that all the items would run out real quick and the staff were not quick enough.
If you need a place to gamble in Oregon this is a good place, but to stay and eat go somewhere else. -

Bend, OR
Not a place we'd choose as destination but if driving north or south on I-5, this small casino located about 45 miles north of Grants Pass and 25 miles south of Roseburg is a sure bet for a clean, comfortable room.
Based our two stays, service is friendly, the beds provide a good night's sleep and prices can be very reasonable, as low as $60 to $70 / night at times. This is a better rate for a better room than you'll find at nearly any of the hotels in Grants Pass or Roseburg. (Gary E. did a stellar job with posting of his photos - no need to add ours.)
If you're exploring the wineries in either of those two areas, Seven Feathers can be a good place to be the night time stop. With this reservation - the road driving into Canyonville can be dangerous and it's not one that we'd want to travel at night after dinner in either of those other towns. Which pretty much means we need to plan on dinner at Seven Feathers. And they are missing the mid range price, good food dining option that makes that a "Yay!" alternative.
We're not brave enough to eat at buffets at a casino anywhere, including Seven Feathers, but we ate dinner at the upscale Camas Restaurant on one visit and breakfast and dinner at the Cow Creek (24 hour) coffee shop on another. The latter is a good enough experience as coffee shops go. Camas was a very good experience, but it is very spendy - entrees range from $25 to $29 each and salads and starters run $7 - $12. Still, the serenity of the dining room was just what we needed on the night we ate there, the service was top notch and with careful ordering we were able to have a very good dinner for two for about $55 - excluding beverages.
We spent a bit of time in the casino in the evening and while it can be tough to get a seat at the blackjack tables, the dealers were friendly and so were the other players.
End note for something else we appreciate about Seven Feathers. The casino & resort are owned and operated by the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe. Our understanding of policy is if you are a member of the tribe and need work, you will have a job. Very cool if true. Our waiter on one visit talked about the difference having work meant for him, including the chance to attend college. When Oregon's unemployment rate has topped the national average for a long time, this alone would seem to be reason to support Seven Feathers by staying there.
Now if they'd add a good food restaurant at mid range prices, they'd get that fourth star! -

Camas, WA
Pitifully run place. Non smoking rooms reek of smoke as much as the smoking rooms. Continental breakfast is cheap and very nasty. Management obviously has no clue how to run a hotel.....("we've run out of pillows"......really? How pathetic) clientele looks like they strolled in off the floor of WalMart. Very classy. Gomer or Sabre tooth country extraordinaire.
Must be very popular with the Poly-Grip crowd, they like that salty, industrial waste type food the "restaurant" pumps out. -

This casino is conveniently located just off the freeway. I did appreciate that they have a nonsmoking section; it's too bad that you have to walk through a maze of smoke to get to it. As I only lost $3.48 I did enjoy myself

Small Casino but worth stopping at when driving down Interest 5. I've been driving past the Casino for years and decided to stop by and check it out. It's a nice little casino when compared to Las Vegas and Reno casinos.
It has everything one would expect from a casino, Video poker, slots, blackjack and Texas Holdem. There is even a smoking and non-smoking gambling areas.
I donated a few bucks at the casino but had fun while doing it. -

DRAG QUEENS AND DICE?
Things I did not expect at Seven Feathers:
1.) Free roll Texas Hold 'Em tournament. Nice!
2.) $5 Blackjack
3.) Hilarious drag queens on stage singing everything from Nancy Sinatra to Patsy Cline.
4.) Having such a great time
I don't know that I'd want to visit here and make a weekend out of it, but it's certainly a fun place to stop for a few hours.Listed in: Crater Lake & Southern Oregon

I don't gamble, so the draw for me is that this is a good rest-stop for a drive between WA and CA. The pool is really quite nice and is a wonderful place to spend some time after a long day's drive.
The rooms are neat and clean and comfortable to stay in, the bathrooms spacious and the wifi part of the package. The casino overall is a pleasant place to visit. I don't know if they are still doing the Player's Club thing, but it is worth it for the savings.
Fair warning: the food we ate at the buffet was mediocre, I would rather eat from the gas station across the street. However, a friend of mine said that there was very good food there, so maybe avoid the buffet and find it-- then let me know where it is, okay Playah? -

Great rooms, splurge for a suite.....don't expect much more than the typical Oregon casino, but as those go, this one is by far, one of the better ones! Good (and free) continental breakfast as well as pool for kids.

Review from Gary E.
After driving for six hours on the road, we finally landed at the Seven Feathers Hotel & Casino.
I swung around the hotel valet driveway and pa called for a bell man. To my surprise the guy knew both ma and pa-in-law by name like they're old pals. I guess a weekly pit stop with slot machine fun-filled action was part of ma's speedy recovery? I wonder if that's what the doctor ordered go figure hmm...
Hey, if I were in her situation whatever floats your boat; you've got nothing to lose! Just "Hakunah Matata" from the movie The Lion King I'd say.
After we checked in we quickly headed to the Gathering Place Buffet as ma was craving for some buffet action.
This place was the cleanest buffet I've ever been to in my entire life! It actually scarred the crap out of me thinking we could have been dining with aliens from outer space in disguise? You figure a little "oops" here and there - sorry I just topped off way too much of that au jus' sauce which overflowed on the counter and into the next dish. A slop of noodles scattered carelessly all over by default or accident. I also envisioned unsupervised hyper little runts running around with ice cream castles leaving a long sticky trail of slippery madness all over the floor. I was wrong.
Everything seemed to be in order pretty calm and relaxed. You could almost hear a pin drop which kinda freaked me out a bit more.
I noticed that a table close by had an elderly couple. Next thing I knew I heard that kneel to the porcelain god song blasting real loud! OMG I thought the guy was choking to death! I got up out of my seat ready to help and then a manager and staff quickly gathered around their table with cleaning solutions, paper towels and a few buckets.
I patiently watched as they put out the fire. Of course I looked around and saw folks who pointed in disgust, some laughed, others whispered and the rest just carried on. It was a happy ending though thank goodness. He's alright!
Unfortunately, my party was oblivious to what was going on at the time until the staff crowd showed up. Later that evening I ran across this couple in the casino. How ironic was that? Hope they won.
Our server was friendly and helpful like the rest of the buffet staff which was awesome.
Kudos to the good cooks' for a great job! The food here was tasty yummy delicious! I went at least three rounds before I surrendered.
Besides the Gathering Place Buffet, this hotel featured the River Rock Spa, Indoor Swimming Pool, Arcade Room, Business Center, Stix Sports Bar, Cow Creek Restaurant, Creekside Restaurant, Camas Room dining a Cabaret Lounge for entertainment and Vegas style gaming.
Along with standard rooms, deluxe rooms and suites to suit your fancy they offered free players club membership just sign up.
We dished out around 109 for a standard guest room weekend rate but of course I had to up the ante' when I ordered for room service. I got a medium-rare yummy cheeseburger fix with sautéed mushrooms served complete with a pink carnation. I was famished after I made my casino donation.
For a standard room complete with a beautiful view and a mini fridge I'm a happy camper!
For weary travelers and passers by, a good place to pull over, stay a while, push your luck or have a good meal and just chillax... -

My kids picked a weekend at Seven Feathers over Seaside!
We've been going here for years and always have a great time. Our last stay we were in the newer wing. Very nicely decorated rooms which are pretty posh for the price. Each of these rooms include a fridge and larger size flat screen TV. All rooms include free wi-fi and continental breakfast. We got a casino rate of $89.00. Just sign up at their slot club and you automatically get that rate!
One of the main draws for us is the pool area. They have a very large indoor swimming pool with two jacuzzis, a nice sun patio area, and a very nice exercise room including several weight machines.
There's also a nifty arcade the kids enjoy. They love collecting tickets for the goofy prizes.
When they added the new rooms and lobby they also added a spa which offers a variety of services. If you purchase one you also get use of the locker room, soaking jacuzzi and saunas all day at no additional charge.
One of the reasons we like spending weekends here is so we can visit the many wineries in the Umqua valley. Our favorites are Abacela and Giradet. You get a beautiful drive through the country side and get to taste some superb wines.
My wife and I also like to golf and the Myrtle Creek golf course is near by and a great bargain. $110 bucks for a duo including cart.
The casino is fun. Plenty of machines to choose from, in addition to all the major casino games a poker room and bingo. (We skip the bingo).
Food at most of the restaurants is decent if unremarkable with a couple of exceptions. We are usually not buffet people, but on Thursday nights they have a seafood buffet that's very good. It's on the pricey side, but for all the crab that is served, in my opinion it's worth it. Also check out the Camas Room. Again it's more expensive but for a fine dining experience we've never been disappointed. -

Sometimes I spend time at a place and forget that it actually exists outside my being there. Like the Seven Feathers casino.
What with it's mediocre buffet, sassy "fat waitresses" (as they refer to themselves), roulette tables and the piece de resistance: MAGIC MAGIC MAGIC. Half way through the magic show I realized that this is here and going on EVERY NIGHT. All the time, there are old folks at the buffet (laughing politely at the fat waitress jokes), there are truckers playing one last nickel on the slots, couples enjoying the amazing trickery of Gob Bluth......every night. In middle of nowhere Oregon.
Wow. Best night of '08. -

Seven Feathers is a very nice casino. I recently stayed at the hotel on a saturday and only paid $89. The rooms were VERY nice, i was pretty impressed! I sat at a machine and won $175 out of a penny machine on playing with $5! I left with about $250 in all...not bad!
Also, there was a awesome drag queen show going on in the bar-with a 2 drink min purchess, it was full so my boyfriend and i stood outside and watched through the window with other people.
Only disadvantage is the smoke there is horrible...ive been to other casinos and this one is the worse when it comes to smoke..made me light headed...but thats expected when going to a casino. Another thing is the buffett is HORRIBLE...the setting is nice and the servers are nice as well but the food was $18 bucks for crap. I even over heard the guy behind me make a comment about getting his money back. I'd suggest avoiding it. -

I'm taking 1 star away for the lame waitress in the "Stix" sports bar.
We arrived at the entrance and the sign said, "Wait to be seated," so we waited. She looked at us a couple of times as she meandered from table to table. She finally came over to us and told us to sit wherever we wanted. We pointed at the sign, and she laughed and said it didn't belong there. What!
So we sat down, she didn't offer any menu's, didn't ask if we wanted to a drink or anything. After 10 minutes, my daughter grabbed a menu and brought it to the table. When I saw that the menu consisted of mostly fried, overpriced stuff, I said stuff it, let's go. I'd rather spend a few minute on the slots and then go to the burger King. The waitress had the nerve to look shocked and ask if we were leaving. DUH!
The 4 stars are for the $533 dollars I won on the penny slot machine! I put $200 in the machine, lost it, then went to the member desk and signed up, came back and added another $100. A few minutes later I hit the bonus round and ended up with a total of 130 free spins. $533 later, I cashed out my winnings plus the $100 I had in the machine.
So thanks to the rude waitress, I had my $300 back and I was $333 ahead! Maybe she deserves that 5th star afterall? Naw, I don't think so! -

Restaurant: the service lacked i felt a lil self conscious cause we were the only ethnic people i saw the whole time we were at the casino/restaurant..
The waiters we're so rude.....while we we're waiting to be seated..i asked if i could see the menu..and then i asked how much was the buffet..and what was being served at the buffet..and this ugly girl literally right next to the cashier i was asking info from said "are you kidding me" i was really pissed off and offended..bitch...we had no choice but to eat here because this was the only damn restaurant open in the casino...i didn't tip cause i was disrespected for the amount of money we already spent at the casino and we had to wait another 10 mins to pay cause it was a long line...which i don't get why you have wait in line to pay like we were at denny's
at the casino i played the newer slots...like the community slots..indiana
jones..and i played the top gun machine and won $130 in 10 mins not bad considering the bitches at the restaurant -

The Cow Creek band of the Umpqua Tribe has it goin' on in Canyonville. This casino/resort is verrry nice and well laid out. It is not as massive as those found in Vegas or Reno but it's a pretty classy joint for Oregon! I go with friends who like to gamble (I prefer to lose my $$$ the old fashioned way, shopping) and have spent a bit of time here over the years.
The COW CREEK RESTAURANT serves DEE LICIOUS breakfasts. Eggs Benedict is my downfall! If you are watching your waistline (which I'm not) you can substitute fresh, sliced tomatoes instead of hash browns. They also have a dinner buffet Monday through Thursday, a seafood buffet on Fridays, special holiday buffets and daily dinner specials. I highly recommend this restaurant!
The CAMAS ROOM offers "fine dining". Nothing too exotic but everything is well prepared and presented. I especially like their fish dishes and the angel hair pasta with prawns in the Oregon Chardonnay cream sauce. It's nice to get all gussied up once in awhile and treat yourself!
The GIFT SHOP is my favorite part of the Casino though. Absolutely beautiful & unique jewelry, clothing and art. I just can't stay away!
Last, but not least, GREAT PEOPLE WATCHING!!!!! -

Stopped by here on our way to Yreka. Asked the security guy in the front where is the best place to eat (thanks for the tip rachael ray). He suggested Cow Creek Restaurant; he told me to mention the $7.95 steak special. loved it! also had honey strung chicken (aka honey fried chicken) it was also very yummy. I lost $5 from the slots but got my moneys worth from the steak. WA HOO!
this was about a year ago, maybe the prices changed but you should ask the securty guy in the front. security knows how to eat! -

We stayed here with a friend of mine over night, the room was nice, but I've stayed in better for the price. The regular restaurant left much to be desired, we heard the buffet is top notch but it was closed at the time. My girl and I don't gamble, so hanging out too long at a casino is pretty much a waste of time. Nice place to kick it for a few hours I guess.

My vote for the best "locals" casino around! Always clean, nice poker room with awesome service! Just big enough not to get bored in a trip, but small enough that you don't spend 20 minutes walking from section to section. Stix is a great little sports bar that stays pleasant throughout the night.

We tried the Gathering Place Buffet last week, just as they opened. We had high expectations. The place was very clean, the staff friendly and helpful. The food was a big let down. Everything tasted like it came out of a can. Poorly seasoned food, goopy sauces, and not much of a selection. The desserts looked great, tasted artificial. While 16.95 seems reasonable for a meal, we have been to other casino buffets for around the same price, if not less, whose food is far better.
