a kid can only stay occupied for so long in the northwoods. after awhile, their tiny fishing poles and bobbers, coloring books and indian dolls start to look pretty dull. and really, you can only take so many porch swing naps.
take the kidlets out for a round of mini golf. the course has some interesting features and stays away from the typical corniness that comes with most of these put-put joints. just make sure there isn't a thunderstorm on the horizon.
