Let me start by saying that I'm vegan, so I may not be the best judge of a restaurant like this. When I travel I waive my veggie vows and look for the ideal place to take in the best local food. A townie recommended this place and when we showed up it looked right up my alley. This is not a pretentious bistro with white table cloths and tableside wine service. We pulled up into the front parking lot and had to call the restaurant to find out where it is. Once you pass the yacht club and pull all the way in the back towards the water, you find yourself a picnic bench, maybe share with another family, and camp out until the food is ready. The food is served on paper plates. They focus on fresh, local food and straightforward preparations.
We got one order of fish & chips and a lobster. Normally, when I eat some seafood while on one of my pesco benders, I'm left disappointed. That was not the case here. The fried scrod was so flaky and moist that it was difficult to eat with a fork. Delish. And the lobster was equally fantastic in its own way. It's worth hunting this restaurant down and diving into some great, local seafood.
My sweet kiddo treated me to lunch at the Sesuit Harbor Cafe. No lines no crowds, sunny blustery day. In short she loved her crab cakes. My lobster roll was soaked in mayo and huge pieces of celery. Soggy fries topped the cake. This was a new experience at this once a favorite spot. 28.00 for food. Not a great experience but alas, it's near their closing day.

A great place! We all got the fish and chips and agreed it was the best we've ever had. The fish was fresh, the fries very tasty and the cole slaw was amazing. With 3 sodas, it was $41. You get to eat outside right on the harbor and you can watch the boats coming and going. A beautiful setting!
my secret hide away when i am on the Cape. Breakfast is fresh and comes to your table pretty fast. Great seafood, of course. eat outside while looking at the best view mother nature has to offer. don't tell too many people keep it your secret dining surprise.
The food here isn't bad at all. But, holy crap, is it expensive!
First of all, you bus your own tables and you're sitting outside on a picnic table. And this is fried seafood for $15 or more per plate. The kids fish and chips was $7.95.
They do not take credit cards, so bring cash (and lots of it). But, there are plenty of seafood places around with similar quality for much less money.
Ordered a lobster salad (which is basically the lobster roll filling on top of a caesar salad). The chunks of lobster were large and very tasty. The seating is not ideal -- you have to stake out a spot so probably better to come at off-times.
Great place, good spot right by the water. If it weren't for the internet, this would be one of those secret spots that only locals knew about. It's the secret seafood shack that you think nobody else knows about. The lobster roll was packed full of lobster. The quality of the food is good. Really really fresh. The lobster rolls were about $15, which isn't bad. The same thing, not as fresh, in Boston would cost $22.
Discovered this place last year, and as one poster writes, it really would be strictly locals here if it weren't for the internet. Beautiful lobster rolls packed full of chunky lobster meat, not too much mayo, with a side of crispy golden fries and cole slaw. And the waterside seating is cozy and beautiful. What more could you ask for??
