On the advice of a friend of my fellow travel, we decided to take a break from a long trip up I-5 to visit this shop.  The variety of teas was amazing. There are shelves and shelves of teas, and each one has a sample out to sniff the aroma. They had two hot and two cold teas to sample. I only tired a white tea, Champaign, raspberry blend; it was cold and refreshing.

It seemed that the teas were expensive, but if they're a grade of above what is available at Trader Joes, perhaps they are worth the extra expense.

Tea shops draw me in like magnets--I can't resist! This little gem offers quite a selection, and I really enjoyed reading each tea's description before taking a whiff of their samples. I walked out with some Super Mini Tuocha Pu-Erh and some Makaibari Estate Darjeeling (both organic). Can't wait to try them!

How exciting to find a tea shop in Mt. Shasta. It's a cute little place with large variety of teas from Japan, China, India, green, black, red, decaf, and not.... whew, was I excited. I bought about $30 worth of tea. So far, I have enjoyed them all.

The store said that I can call them to order more tea and they will ship it to my place. Can't wait to give that a chance. Hopefully shipping isn't very expensive. =)

On a trip to Mt. Shasta we encountered this lovely tea store on the southwest flank of the mountain--a little oasis of culture in the middle of the tiny backwoods town of Mount Shasta City.  Proprietress Daniela Bose was helpful and informative, not only on teas, but on the local natural sites to see as well as the best places for a great meal in the nearby environs.  We enjoyed conversation in their small seating area with Daniel, her husband Anik, and tea barista Monique.

We tried only one tea, but it was wonderful on a cold afternoon--first blush Darjeeling, brewed in a pot.  Great flavor and not too much caffeine, and the price was very reasonable.  The store was stocked with many different teas of all sorts, as well as related goods and nibble-ables.

We'll be back here again, and Daniela, we're raising you to 5 stars when you offer high (or at least intermediate) tea!

The first time I stopped in Mount Shasta I came across this shop and my husband and I both left with some new wonderful teas. They have little testers out so you can smell all the teas, and they also seem to feature two or three teas that you can drink while you browse.  The teas are all solid by weight, with the low end ones costing about $3-4 to start, and the higher end teas starting out at about $10 for a small bag.  On our second trip to Shasta I had to stop off here and pick up some more teas, and found some new and exciting options, in addition to the black tea I was already in love with.
