We have been there twice, once as a couple and the last time as a large group, Traditional "right" side of menu features good eats with calameri and potatoes that are excellent. "Left" side of menu more modern fare, with a nod toward molecular gastronomy. Worth trying and sampling.
Definitely worth return visits, nice to see something new in the 'nati. -

For something a little bit different, try the new (or rather, relatively new) Spanish tapas place in Walnut Hills. Of course, it can't compare to the real thing, but for the middle of Cincinnati? It's pretty darn good. As with all tapas places, don't come here if you're starving. Instead, this is a place to go if you want to relax, nibble on some yummy eats, drink a little, talk a little. If you're hungry, it can get real expensive, real fast. On average, it'll probably cost at least $15-20 per person here for approx 2.5 plates.
Now for the food: the cool thing about this place is that you have one side of the menu with the chef's take on tapas (small plates) - in hot and cold dishes, and the other side of the menu has your more standard tapas - ie your Patatas Bravas (fried potatoes with spicy salsa brava). Additionally, they change the menu by season.
A couple of dishes you might want to try if you've never had spanish tapas before:
Cordoniz: organic quail in five variations
Charcuterie: assortment of Spanish cured meats
Calamares: Andalusian style calamari strips (these are delicious and very very tender)
Of course, there are many more dishes to try=) It's definitely worth going back for.
Oh! Did i mention they have sangria as well? -

While I will probably be back, overall I left disappointed. The promise of tapas in Cincinnati must have built up a huge hype in my head...but to be honest tapas just are not that hard to execute properly so I am only giving Seny 3 stars.
The only home run were the dates with chorizo. Totally amazing - loved them...enough said. The patas bravas were tasty....but they weren't patatas bravas. I would call them fried potatoes with spicy aioli - there was no bravas sauce to be seen. We had this eggplant salad that was fine but not special and chicken skewers the same way. The main reason I am giving 3 stars was the asparagus with pepper sauce....they need a new recipe or this needs to be off the menu. The asparagus was well cooked - and so delicious as asparagus is. But the sauce was the most tasteless thing I have ever put in my mouth - get some salt!
Finally the atmosphere was cool, but our waiter sucked. I bet if I had one of the other waiters Seny could have got 4 stars from me but when asked "what is your favorite tapa" don't name everything on the menu.
Fun night, decent food and a cool scene that is much needed in the city. I am hopeful it only gets better. -

I biked here. Unfortunately, my seat had been soaked by a recent downpour, so my pants made me look like I had bowel problems. The hostesses were more than sympathetic, and the service only got better from there. When I asked about an ingredient in one of the desserts - what they called "Basque Cream" - our waiter took me back to talk to one of the chefs about how to make it. The head chef came out and greeted our group (probably because we were ordering a lot).
And there is a lot to order! The menu is varied, from hot tapas to cold tapas, traditional tapas to innovative tapas, meat tapas to veggie tapas. Yes, it's a tapas bar, which means variety is the name of the dining game. Order something, get a few bites, order some more and some more and some more until you've spun your taste buds all around. You can appease every hankering you have without stuffing yourself.
To wash it down, you must have the sangria. House made, it's refreshing and fruity without being sweet or cloying. It's primarily red, but they toss in a couple of bottles of white to lighten it up, which sounds ideal if you're sitting on the patio as the weather warms up.
The food is all prepared perfectly. The chef uses some modern innovations (gels and foams and other molecular gastronomy) but lets the flavors rule. The traditional tapas offerings are unmolested and straight out of Spain. His adaptations are creative and unusual and invariably delicious.
It's rare for me to say I had a meal where I really liked all three of my courses. Here I sampled over 15 items and thoroughly enjoyed at least 13. The traditional calamari - perfectly cooked, not at all too chewy - the lamb, and the roast mushrooms were especially memorable.
And, thanks to the joy of small plates, I wasn't too full to bike home despite eating over a dozen different delights. -

Having to wait in line for nearly 90 minutes was a little ridiculous (I'm not a fan of waiting for my food). Despite being in a relatively quiet part of town, the place was hopping on a Friday night. I suppose it was our fault for not calling in beforehand. We were finally seated at 9pm; by then I was deliriously hungry. However, the tapas that appeared at our table soon satisfied my every need and desire, and my misery became a distant memory. Quail done five ways, marinated mushrooms, avocado mousse, all delicious. The chef even created a custom masterpiece of fresh fruit and cranberry gelee when we couldn't find a dessert on the menu for my dairy-allergic friend.
So, two words: make reservations. -

In general, I'm a fan of tapas, quantities that are small enough to let you taste many different flavors, textures, and sensations and still large enough to fill you up. Seny not only does a great job with traditional tapas (yum, serrano ham!) but also experiments with surprising food combinations that make your stomach smile (try their version of bacon and eggs if you're feeling adventurous). I think my stomach is still thinking about the calamari with expresso and the scallops with caramel sauce.

A great addition to Cincinnati cuisine. My girlfriend and I had a really great experience here with great guitar and ambiance, and the paella was outstanding. We also got fried calimari I think for the app? that was really good, and the wine was even spectacular. mmmm.

Easily the most authentic tapas in Cincinnati. Everything was reminiscent of Spain, and one word best describes Seny's delicious food: FRESH!
The restaurant's overall ambience works great for a small gathering or for a romantic date. The restaurant had live music on the Saturday night that I dined there, which was a nice touch. The service was definitely another positive; our dishes were out quickly and our drinks were always full.
I will definitely be going back, and have already recommended it to a few people. Make sure to book reservations, as Seny is destined to become a Cincinnati hot spot!
