My boyfriend has Seniore's Pizza's phone number MEMORIZED!! not just on speed dial...but actually memorized! who has phone numbers memorized these days??? Yes, that shows how often we go esp after a late night of dancing...Seniore's is the last stop before hitting the sack. They never fail to have our phone in order piping hot & ready to eat by the time we arrive!
You must not get anything other than the combo. Their toppings taste super fresh and they do magic by not letting their tomatoes get soggy! Delicious!!
Lunch, dinner, late night...all great times to have Seniore's Pizza!
sure, it's opened late and conveniently located on 19th for us drunk college kids on our way back to SFSU. But seriously, the service here sucks and they have messed up my order (by giving it to someone else then trying to convince me that i ordered something else) every single time I've been here (and that's quite a few, i've had many drunks nights during my first two years of college) Maybe i've matured, maybe it's not actually Seniore's fault. but i have definitely stopped coming here.
just a couple anecdotes:
delivery from Seniore's once upon a time. We got a large pepperoni and sausage pizza. cost us freaking 28 bucks! who the hell charges almost THIRTY dollars for a two topping large pizza. When the delivery guy came, he rudely shoved the pizza into my roommates hands, stuck his own hand out for our cash, and stood around a couple minutes longer as if he was wanting for his tip. yeah, i think NOT, buddy boy.
one night (actually this scenario has happened on quite a few nights), half wasted on the way back home, wanted pizza. went to seniore's since it's the only thing open at those indecent hours. we were a group of 5, 4 of us ordered pizza. First, the wait takes like 25 minutes. How long does it take to cut a slice of pizza and stick it in the microwave (cause that's what it tastes like). It's not like we ordered anything fancy or extravagant. simply cheese and pepperoni pizza's. MAYBE there was a mushroom one in there somewhere. omgz. mushrooms. so complicated. So one of us finally get our pizza after 25 minutes. and no one else does for the next 15. you know why, it's cause douche behind the counter gave our pizzas to people who came in hella later than us. i saw him hand our pizza's over and when we told him that those were our pizza's that he was giving away. he shot us a dirty look & ignored us. i wanted to punch that guy in the face.
needless to say, continuously bad experiences at Senoire's have converted me to the religion of Taraval Pizza just a couple more blocks down.
Ohmyg!d, ohmyg!d, ohmyg!d.
They deliver at, like, 2 in the morning when you can't pick up because you're too shwasted from partying in the City.
I really don't think I need to say anymore.
Beside almost getting killed by 19th ave traffic when stepping out of the car in front of Seniore's, I'm irked by their stinginess. We asked for plates and they asked, "how many?" We said around 7 and they counted exactly 7 super thin paper plates. At least have the decency to double up because the plates can't hold up anything. I might as well just eat off a napkin. Only good thing about this place is that it's opened when no one else is.
WORST FOOD IN THE WORLD!!! It's like they took it out of the freezer and microwave the food. Save your money something else.
I drunken hunger!
Where do you go when everything is closed and Denny's isn't on the list of places to eat? You go here where the food is hot, the service is fast, and the clientele is ruthless.
Garlic chicken and peperoni salami onion something or another FTW!!
wootWOOT!
;D
My friends know I LOVE pizza and when they introduced Seniore's to me nearly a decade ago I fell in LOVE with them - most notably their garlic and chicken pizza.
Seniore's is located on the busy intersection of 19th Avenue and Taraval Street. It is a little hole in the wall place sandwiched between a sad single's diner and a nursery school. I think they are open late until 3AM. The prices here are fairly reasonable too. If I remember correctly, an extra large pizza was about $25 give or take $4.
I admit, the service sucks and they aren't the cleanest of places but I can overlook it as long as they give me my pizza! The best times to NOT go are late Friday and Saturday nights when it gets loud, rowdy, and a bunch of college kids are trying to shove pizza down their throats in a drunken stupor. Furthermore, you'll be waiting longer for your pizza...but if you can bare the wait feel free to mingle with the near-sober people who you can still hold an intelligent conversation with. If you go, you HAVE TO HAVE TO HAVE TO try the garlic chicken pizza. 'Nuff said.

*5 Stars out of 5*
I recently moved to the area and this place is right up the street! I'm not used to getting an x-lg pizza for only $20 and it was good! I ordered the king special or something like that... Grilled Chicken, Pepperoni, Artichoke Hearts, Spinach, Olives, Feta Cheese, & Pesto! YUMMMY!
I was reading a lot of the reviews that people come here for the late night delivery or just to pick up after a night out. I will definitely be coming back for that! Bonus that it's open until 3am!
Okay, so I like the pizza but I've definitely had better. I will only order from here late night. The dudes on the phone are sooooo rude, but if that's how they wanna run a business, go for it. They are obviously very busy, so do what you want. The delivery always takes about an hour, but at least the pizza always arrives hot. Great for late night, but wouldn't order any other time.
Kudos to being the best pizza delivery place when I've got drunchies or munchies.
I take away two stars for the time they gave me a large rather than extra large (but we were so hungry that we ate it anyway).
Oh, and for not being Red Boy Pizza :(
A last resort pizza when nothing else is open. Poorly cooked and delivery takes forever.
I think the bloated yelp reviews stem from poor college students at State getting the dorm special.
I had a slice of sausage and a slice of chicken and garlic. The flavor was there, but the crust was WAAY off. Both me and my friend's slices were far too doughy and thick.
All that excess dough just diluted the flavor and filled my stomach with tasteless carbs. Maybe it was just a bad batch.. I'll have to try it again some other time.
The Seniore's in my hometown of Santa Clara has served me well. I expected nothing less of the San Francisco location, minus the fried oreos because they don't have them in the SF location. My roommates and I are regular repeat customers especially in the late night. They're patient whenever my roommates order pizza and the pizza gets here and my roommates aren't here to answer the door, but I am. And it's good pizza. Can't forget that.
this low-budget rat hole really sucks.
possibly the shittiest pizza shop in the city.
this is based on:
crust
sauce
cheese
pepperoni-to-cheese ratio
wait time/service
ambience
-
i've been dominos that have more soul
---
2 stars because they're the only shop open late in th hood
How have I not reviewed this place yet?
I used to come here all the time after a night out when I lived in SF. Twin Peaks had zero kinda delivery service so we we're forced to venture onto Seniore's Pizza ....
What a delight, the inside is a typical hole-in-the wall place but even smaller than most with only a couple barstool seats and zero tables. This place was made to scoop your slices and bounce.
We ordered, waited 10 minutes then grabbed our bags.
When I finally started our movies and opened our boxes I literally shuttered. What Pizza God decided to finally come down to earth to grace me with his presence? OMG. The cheesy bread with orange marinara sauce, buffalo wings, and our huge slices.
Everything was so flavorful with the prefect sauce to cheese ratio most pizza places have problems tackling. The sauce obviously being the lesser or the two. The cheese, mmm THE CHEESE.
I'm compiling a list of places to take my boyfriend when we visit SF soon, this will definitely be on it. HOLLER
Late night pizza?????? AWESOME!!! I think it was garlic chicken pizza with peppers and onions?? I could be wrong. Man oh man my girls were so excited for 3am pizza that was TASTY!
:D
I live across the street seniors is the S.,H. !!. T...
get the Kings Special slice <--secret slice mozzarella, feta,, spinach artichoke hearts olives pepperoni under 4 bucks!!!!
Pros:
+ Great pizza
+ Pretty large slices
+ Open late
+ Fair prices
+ Special sauce (learn about it. *drool*)
Cons:
+ Small
+ A bit dirty/untidy (looks like they only clean once in the day, which isn't a good thing with all the traffic coming through here ... esp all the drunk people)
The service is OK. They aren't very enthusiastic people, but they get the job done.
GREAT Pizza!!! Very friendly Staff. When you get there, you know why your there! I ordered a Medium Pepperoni Pineapple Pizza togo. It didn't take long at all, and I had a great conversation with one of the Managers. All around good people, great service and the pizza was very tasty!
oh... and they're open LATE!
Ahhh Seniores, how I've missed you. You've defined my college freshmen year. I've spent many a drunken night stumbling around the sunset trying to find my way and have come across the oasis that is Seniores!
While I love all of your pizzas, my favorites to date are; your chicken pesto pizza and your pepperoni pizza-- and your special sauce is to die for!
Unfortunately now I live too far away to get the Seniores experience, but every once in a while I think of you guys and your yummy yummy food, and I smile.
We could not hail a cab. Ali R. and I walked down Mission for blocks and blocks after the club closed. It was around 2am. I wasn't so sure why we couldn't get a cab but, every one that went by us seemed to be in use. It's not that we didn't look cute, either. We looked cute. I know we did. But, it almost got to the point where I was gonna have to start lifting up my skirt just a little. I told Ali to push the girls up cuz hers are bigger than mine.
And, the next thing I knew, I was at Seniore's. And they were packed. We didn't just have drunken munchies, I swear. Ali and I were soooo hungry after all that walking and we knew that we had to be at the dance studio at 10:00am the next morning so, we figured the best remedy was pizza. It was really just simple hunger fatigue. I couldn't even wait to eat the pizza. I ate about half of it while I was paying for it. And then I finished the rest of my portion while walking the 2 blocks back home.
But, I can't seem to remember exactly what type of pizza it was, although knowing me it had large amounts of pepperoni or sausage on it. And, when I woke up the next morning, there was nothing left. We ordered a Large. Hmmmm... you do the math.
Thank god for Seniore's though. I can't imagine heading anywhere else after a late night and eating such a saturating meal.
My roomies and I just shared a create-your-own chicken, pesto, tomato, onion and mushroom pizza. It was really good and price reasonable at about $25. The crust is a little harder than I like, but it's not bad.
Online ordering makes it pretty convenient, considering I don't really like phones and you can pay for your pizza with card when you order.
What makes me give them only 3 stars though, is that it took an hour and a half for it to arrive! We even had to change some of our plans because it took longer than expected.
I would try ordering from them again though... hopefully they were just having an off day today. But give yourself an hour and a half, just in case...
Thank you for providing me pizza at all hours of the night. I always get delivery from here and it comes hot and fresh in a fairly speedy time. The wait at 2am when everyone is writhing and screaming for pizza seems unbearable. Sometimes I order from here it isn't as good as usual but it's pretty hard to beat in price. I would say they are the best and the cheapest in town! I even like Seniores better than north beach for the most part.
Okay, I am a fatty. I don't know why, but when 1am or 2 am rolls around, I get hungry. Living in the city, and especially the Richmond, there isn't much open after 10pm.
I grew up on Round Table and Pizza Hut cause its the chain restaurants that you know what to expect when you go there. A San Jose friend wanted to get pizza one night and I thought I take them to some good pizza. When i think good pizza, I think of fancy pizza places cause lets face it, living in the city, there are no ghetto places to grab a bite. We go to Little Star and I could tell this was no ghetto pizza place.
We left and headed to Seniore's. Pizza by the slice and made when you order it. I have the combo and garlic chicken. I can eat but two slices and I was sooooo done. The best part, the Jarrito at the end. Hit the spot and it was cheap. The slices are also full of toppings.
Went again a second time and got combo with extra crispy and that is how I am gonna eat my pizza from here on out.
Oh, Seniore's...you absolutely fulfill my pizza cravings when no other pizza joint in the city will do.
I love pretty much everything about their pizza. I love ordering my own slice with any toppings I want, and oh, the extra cheese! Who can argue with extra cheese? I might be a little lactose intolerant, but with a good probiotic before munching two big slices of Seniore's pizza, who cares?
The actual dining area is teeny. Six bar stools. Two side counters. I don't really care where I eat Seniore's pizza, so long as it's hot. I also enjoy ordering a glass bottle of Jarritos soda with my pizza, it makes the meal so much more fun and culturally diverse. Especially when I get Hawaiian slices.
Also, they are speedy in their delivery! Which is so awesome when you've been out bar-crawling in the Marina and get home and see that there's nothing fatty enough in the refridgerator to properly counter the alcohol in your system.
If you like doughy pizza with fat delicious crust, this is the place to go! Great filling, amazing crust, the sauce had a quirky spice to it,
-1 star for it not being warm upon delivery. 24/hour pizza delivery though, holla.
Also props for high quality toppings, fresh pineapple, opius ammounts of olives, layers of pepperoni. One of the best pizzas I've found in the city I will return. It deserves 3 and a half stars but I'm no strict yelper. So I'll round up. Skip the national chains try a new pizza I'd reccomend it for the crust and topping pizza lovers.
One of my fav pizza joints:
Cheezy goodness
Open late night
Cheap
Delivers
It's not really a sit down kinda place as much as it is a to-go/delivery place. But you will be a happy camper. Chicken pesto pizza yum in the tum. the chicken ceasar salad is delish too (ask for dressing on the side because they drench it)
The quality of the cheese and bread make this pizza outstanding! Nothing on 19th comes close to the taste! Definitely hits the spot late night!
There is something fantastic about Seniore's Crust...
It has a wonderful crunch in your mouth when you bite into it and I really like their sauce.
I personally think Seniore's is somewhat expensive, but it's probably the cheap bastard inside of me.
Any how, I Like!
Fantastic pizza! Just ordered my favorite for the first time (mushrooms, onions and jalapeno peppers) and VERY happily surprised. Amazing flavor and superb crust. Not greasy, not too doughy. Pizza perfection! I'm ordering more soon.
Delivered mediocre pizza.
Had this delivered a week ago, will not be ordering again.
Does anyone in this city, really know the meaning of ny style pizza?
Having been born and bred in one of the 5 boroughs, this shit doesn't even come close
I finally gave in to the hype and went. But only because Island Cafe is no more, and I couldn't fulfill my Hawaiian BBQ cravings.
A slice of veggie pizza goes for $3.55. I wasn't completely full, but it did help soak up the tequila shots. Whoot.
Flew into SFO from Nashville/Huntsville and we were starving!!!
Thank goodness Mama was doggy sitting for us just a couple of blocks away from Seniore's Pizza for a late night pie!!
So with doggy in the backseat we picked up our Large Seniore's Special w/no olives and 2 sodas. I walked in they just cut & boxed it up!
Note to self: trying to eat pipping hot pizza while driving from SF to Livermore with a happy to see us doggy is not really a good idea.
It was crazy, Georgie pretty much drooling because you can smell the pizza, hot pizza drippings going down your hand and trying to dodge lame drivers and narrow streets in St Francis woods! But I loved it!
Pizza was packed full with tomatos, onions, bell peppers, sausage and mushrooms. I couldn't really taste the sauce because there was so many toppings and the crust was nice and chewy good! Georgie said he like the pizza bones (crust). And it was even good cold the next morning since we didn't have any groceries in the fridge!
But my fave here is the pesto slice! A whole pesto pizza is way too greasy from here but a slice is PERFECT!! Especially after a late night of drinking or after going to the theater or movies!

They open till really late!! that's already a plus for ppl craving pizza at night. They were also fast! We ordered before we left the house and it was ready by the time we got there. Sweet.
Tastes great and can't complain!
everybody knows how much i love pizza.. my favorite is probably thin-crust.. however, Seniore's isn't thin-crust.. but i still love love love it!
these guys are smart.. they get their customers by making fresh pizza. no seriously, i waited a good 15 minutes at 3am while i was still drunk to eat this. it was SO worth it. i had the garlic chicken pizza and it was an explosion of garlic-y goodness in my mouth. my friend thought it was TOO garlic-y.. but i would have to respond that 'Biatch, there is no such thing as too much garlic'
i also tried their veggie pizza which was also reallllllllly good. didn't miss the meat at all!
and of course we ordered the pesto.. because this drunk guy was just waving his pesto pizza around in the air and it looked SO tasty.. so we got it, it came out hot as hell and with literally a pool of oil in the center.. whatever, get fat or go home!!
thank you Seniores.. for ending my night out in SF with a BANG! BANG!! BANG!!!
Imagine yourself, dining with your sweetie, at a table for two, soda or wine in your cups, when you open your pizza box and slip out a slice of Seniore's delectable pizza. Think again. Seniore's pizza is not only disgusting but it looks like Dominos.
When my girlfriend and I went to seniore's pizza to try out their style, we were quickly discouraged when we looked at the pizza and it looks like regular generic pizza. There is nothing special or good about this pizza and despite already feeling disheartened, we decided to take it out. When we got home the pizza tasted so bad, we couldn't even taste the olives we ordered on top. I'd go for any other pizza place on Taraval other than Seniore's.
How about their service. The guys who work there were smoking inside the building. They were caring around swishers, smoking outside the door and the smoke was drifting in. To top it all off, there were a couple guys in a van and when we were walking up one of them said give me your money (joking I think, I wasn't scared) then when we got into the place, we realized those were the delivery guys. From experience I give them a one, for yelp I give them a 1. For the same thing but a MUCH cheaper price then go to Dominos. Bad service, bad pizza.
Seniore's is a staple for my girls and I after a long night of dancing. Here's a typical 3am conversation during our taxi ride:
" Do you guys want to come over and hang out!"
" No, i'm tired...i've been dancing all night, my heels are killing me!"
" I'll order Seniore's with special sauce..."
" Okaaaay! I'm there"
We usually call Seniore's on our way home so by the time we arrive, Seniore's is waiting at our doorsteps! I don't know of any other pizza joint that delivers at 3 am in the morning. Cheesy, warm, and savory..."oh sooo yummy"....the perfect food to satiate your post-clubbing appetite. The cheesy bread is a must, along with the Special Sauce...ALWAYS ask for special sauce. The sauce has a nice spicy kick, not too overbearing but the perfect compliment to ANY pizza you order. I'm just drooling thinking about this....I think i'm gonna go order a pizza now....
BEST BBQ CHICKEN PIZZA EVER. 'nuff said.
Service is kinda slow, maybe because this place is pretty popular?
I've lived across the street from Seniores for four years, and let me tell you three things:
1. ALWAYS ask for the secret sauce
2. The king pizza is ginormous and will knock your socks off
3. When you walk in say hello to Neal (he probably took your order at least 100 times in college)
Only complaint living across the street: drunk 18 year olds running around screaming at cars/people/trashcans... oh, wait, that was probably us 7 years ago too...
LOVE YOU NEAL!
Now that I am over the age of 21 and no longer need a place to deliver to me when I am in a drunken state, I hardly ever eat at Seniore's. See, for those of us that are old enough to go to bars, there's usually a 24 Hour Palace open somewhere. Like, The Mission? Taquerias Galore=No need for delivered mediocre pizza. Or the convenience of Video Cafe, 30 feet from my apartment.
NOW. If you are 1 of those kiddies who live in Park Merced, go to dorm parties and don't have a fake I.D. Seniore's is the place for you! A-Ok pizza that is open fairly late. I've had this pizza over a dozen times wasted and about twice sober. While it seems like THE BEST PIZZA EVAR....it's not so great once the alcohol wears off.
But, definitely keep their number in your cell for the post Pi Kappa Phi party on Friday Night.
