I have know Abe and See Spot Run for 5 years. I began using See Spot Run when my dog was just a puppy. I found him through a former employer, who was totally neurotic about her dog. Abe may or may not know this, but this woman followed him and spied on him to see what was  he was doing with her dog when he had her dog. She was pleased to see that he was taking great care of her precious dog. On that, I started my dog (Marley) with Abe. I have been very pleased with his service over the years.
I have moved away, and then back and Marley has always done very well with Abe. My dog is always thrilled to see Abe. Abe has done many favors for me over the years. I trust him with my dog as I would with one of my children.
For those of you who have written unfavorable reviews, I would say that your dogs' neurosis are not the fault of your dog walker, it's either your fault or your dog has something wrong with it. Of course your dog ruined his teeth when you were gone, you left him and he didn't know if you would ever come back. It's called separation anxiety.  
My dog now goes to Unleashed and enjoys everyday that he's there. I've popped in unannounced and found my dog happily playing with the other dogs there. Remember, a dog walker/boarder is not a surrogate parent for your dog. Asking advice from a professional trainer or behaviorist as to how to attend to the issues that your dog may have is probably the best advice I could give (that and to follow the recommendations that you are given!). Abe, See Spot Run, and Unleashed are great, I recommend them to everyone I know and I look forward to many years of continued great service from them.

I have known Abe for the six years I've lived in SF. I first met him when I was unemployed, and spent my days in Alta Plaza park w/ my dog, where we began chatting. I was always very impressed with the way he handled his dogs, playing ball with some while simultaneously working on obedience with others. Abe became my go-to whenever my husband and I travel, and my dog is always happy to see him. He is always willing, even at the last minute and across town, to come pick up Bella for a last minute weekend getaway. I am shocked at the negative review, as I have had nothing but delightful experiences with Abe and his crew.

Abe and See Spot Run are the best.  I have been using his dog walking and petsitting services for years and feel lucky and fortunate my dog has such caring and lovely people to watch her when I'm away.   My dog, Georgia, is fabulous and fun but a bit neurotic and crazy.  I really trust Abe and his team with my dog and he's been great and a true friend.  He even picked up Georgia at 11 pm when I went into labor with my baby.  I don't know what I'd do without him.  Thanks for everything, Abe!
