Too much fun! Carol our instructor was professional and talented. Making us feel comfortable from the start. We were beginners in a private pole dancing class. The 6 of us all agree we are going to do this again and want to explore the other classes too. The atmosphere is perfect, the artwork is beautiful.
You don't have to look like a supermodel to have a great time and learn a lot here. It is a whole lot more then just twirling around a pole, more about taping into something inside yourself.

Spacious. Great instructors. Didn't feel intimidated or nervous. Very warm and friendly atmosphere to look like an idiot (or at least in my case) while trying to shake my booty.

Thanks to all you yelpers! I read every review and after a few months, finally got the courage to sign up. I completely love it! I've finished 4 courses (4-5 months) and recently I had my first advanced course with Aby. How can you say WOW to the 10th power? I think the word is "Aby". You can find her dance video on YouTube if you put "Bad Aby" in the search. She's an awesome teacher!
Although I'm the biggest girl in the advanced class, everyone is very encouraging and supportive. We all laugh together when Aby shows a trick we're sure is impossible for us regular folk.
I pay cash for all the classes and Carol gives me a $10 gift card which I usually use at her cute boutique. I bought the sexiest HUSTLER lingerie there- my man loves to see it on me! You can also use it for future classes if you'd like!
To all you skeptics, how do you know you don't like it, until you try it?!
One of my clients invited me to join her during part of her bachelorette party, which was being held at Sedusa Studios. While it initially sounded more than a little intimidating, my friend who was also invited convinced me to go. While I can't say I was very skilled, I am glad I went.
For our group, it was $35 per person for 1.5 hours of class, including shoes. And when I saw those shoes, I just about died. Platform stilettos that made me well over 6 feet tall. I am a sissy when it comes to heels, and will usually only wear my tallest heels when I know I am going to do a lot of sitting. So looking at these shoes made me more than a little nervous. But I was incredibly surprised to find that they were not only not hard to walk in, but not totally uncomfortable, either!
The lesson included a warm up (sans shoes), a little bit of walking practice, and then putting together a little routine. Then came learning the pole trick. She showed us how to do it, and when she told us to try, I seriously just froze. My body was clearly telling me that to avoid serious injury to my ankles, I needed to refrain from spinning around that pole. Watching everyone else do it (and do it well!), and then get personal help from the instructor empowered me to actually do it, and so when she came over to help me, I was determined to twirl around that damn pole.
Ladies, if your body is telling you to not do something to avoid damaging it, please listen. What I should have done was take the damn shoes off and try it that way first. But I didn't. When she came over and set me up, and then gently pushed me to achieve the desired rotation, instead of gracefully twirling about the pole like the rest of my classmates, I staggered and stumbled and almost fell on my ass. So then I was scared of falling so I wasn't able to do it right. I bet if I had tried it with out the shoes first, I would have gotten it eventually. I could almost feel the way i needed my body to go, but the shoes kept messing me up. I was incredibly bummed that I was the ONLY person in class to not get the twirl. :( Plus, I think I slightly sprained my ankle and possibly my back, as well. How's that for sexy?!
But really, it was fun. After we "learned" the twirl, we incorporated that into the little routine we had already done. We practiced that a few time, and THEN we broke into two groups, and "performed" for the other group. I am ridiculously proud of myself that I did this. I am NOT a dancer, and this was way out of my comfort zone. But I did it, damn it!
I can't see myself taking their pole dancing classes, but I do feel like I took away a few sexy little moves that, should I ever actually get into a relationship again, might come in handy. They also offer a few different types of dance classes: Sensual Dance, Pole Dance, Pussycat Dance, Shadow Dance, and (so naughty!) Lap Dance. I would take a lap dance class just out of sheer curiosity of the props we would use. Mannequins, crash test dummies, volunteer men? How do you practice a lap dance without a lap? They must use something, right? Oh god, I want to know!
I could see taking a class here to add a little spice to a relationship. I think it is a great idea for a feisty girl party. It was fun, the rest of the people were very encouraging, the instructor made me feel comfortable (pole falling aside), and even though I couldn't do the twirl, I still felt like a little sex kitten. Yeowza!

I was very unhappy with the attitude of the owner, Ms. Carol Whitsett, and humiliated by the treatment I received from her.
Since December 2007, I was a student / customer of her sensual dance studio. This year, I signed up for the 3rd class. Carol told me to sign up for the class one month in advance so I did with my credit card information.
The class was supposed to start on Monday, and Carol called me and left a voice mail on Friday (she gave me only one normal business day) that she cancelled my class because she couldn't get enough people for that class.
As per her request, I had to sign up for the class one month in advance, and I sorted out my schedule for the total of 5 sessions. Of course, I was not happy when she cancelled the class just because she didn't feel like conducting due to the insufficient number of people that was not my fault.
The class is expensive that is $250 a class that means one session is $50. I think she should have conducted the class even if it was only myself in that class.
I explained Carol my concerns, but she told me "please find another studio if you are not happy with my studio". I was very sad...
I asked what her cancellation policies are for the future reference, for example, how many people she wants to implement the class, and what she can do to make up when she cancels the class like my case.
She refused to answer these questions. She has no business policy? So, I assumed she just decides what class she implements and what class she wants to cancel based upon her mood.
I thought she is very unprofessional. She told me her father was sick and she can't afford to make up for me for the canceled class and my lost time. It's business. Her father's illness doesn't matter although I feel sorry for him and Carol.
Obviously, I am not going back to Sedusa Studio, never!
I bought Carmen Electra's Aerobic Striptease DVD set (only about $70 for 7 dvds). These DVDs are much better than Sedusa classes. I learned a lot from these DVDs, but not much at all from Sedusa. To me, there were too many students in such a small studio, and I never received enough attention from instructors for such an expensive tuition ($50 per session). All we did was mimicing what the instructor did. I think Carmen is much better dancer than Sedusa instructrors and Carmen's techniques were much easier to follow and more fun!
Lastly, I don't understand that Carol charges the full amount of tuition when a student cancels the reservation less than 7days before the class date while she cancels the class at anytime.
I am a business owner and never give this kind of service to anyone.
I don't trust this business at all.

I tried the Pussy Cat doll class for something different and dancey. It was fun and not as scary as I thought it would be--everyone there was nice and there to have a good time.
Only con is my friend and I were used to dance studios where every few classes we learned a different dance, so the same dance for all of the classes got a bit repetitive. We just concentrated on trying to get the right attitude and be free and have fun with it.
I'd like to try another one of their classes but I'm a bit intimidated--I may try to get a big group together and do a private class and see how that goes. That sounds like an awesome girl event!

I've taken 4 of the Pussycat Series and they were great!! Kelly and Theresa are wonderful instructors. Kelly gives you more of the jazzy kind of style while Theresa is more a funky kind of style. Oh and Theresa will kick your butt during the warm up. My butt and abs hurt the day after her classes! I loved it! I noticed that the series of 4 classes are now only $80 instead of $100 so I think that'll draw in more girls. What's also great is if you're taking a Pussycat Doll (PCD) Series you can drop in on another day for an extra PCD class for only $10. Not bad!!
My only drawback is the class was geared more towards women that may not really know how to dance so it moves somewhat slowly. (At least for me it does.) I did see that there's an advanced PCD series that's an extra half hour longer but it's $120 and I don't necessarily want to spend additional $40.
I haven't taken any of the other classes but, when talking to the other girls in class they all really enjoyed them and couldn't say enough great things about them.
Me and my girls came to Sedusa as one of the activities for my Bachelorette Party. It was sooo fun. Definitely get your drink on beforehand. It was hilarious trying to walk in those stilettos, and drooling over how hot the instructor was, it was difficult for some of us to get into it lol. It is definitely a workout. My leg was bruised and sore from all the twirling, not to mention my arms and abs! After our session, my bridesmaids surprised me with a portable pole so I can show my husband my new tricks :)
Absolutely LOVED my experience at Sedusa! I took the Pussy Cat Workout class at the South San Francisco studio in February and had a blast. I was a little nervous at first because I don't really have any dance background but I love the Pussy Cat Dolls so I was intrigued... Kelly was instructor and she was great... she put the class at ease on the first day explaining that this was going to be like a girls night out with a lot of fun dancing. I learned the routine after two classes and by the fourth class could do the whole routine by my self! Plus my abs and rear got a great work out... on my way to a rockin' Pussy Cat Body. I definitely got to channel my inner sexy and my inner dancer- who knew?!
So, If you want to feel like a sexy sexy woman in 6 inch heals spinning around on a pole and get a great workout out of it...then sedusa studios is for you!!!!
I never knew how hard some of the tricks strippers do are so hard!!! Much respect to those girls.
I went with a bunch of my co-workers for a private party and we all had a blast!!! not to mention an awesome workout!!!
The instructor was wonderful and in great shape herself!!! very motivating.

Private Pole Dancing 101
I'm gonna do WHAT?!? by the end of the night? Clearly that routine is for someone who has been taking these classes for a bit... and I'll be performing this routine in a little over an hour? Yeah right!
But step by step our awesome, extremely gorgeous and very fit instructor broke it down for us... and even made twirling around on the pole extremely simple!
Who knew I had it in me? I got to strut my sexy routine in my borrowed 6 inch sexy stripper heels, which were surprisingly very comfortable...
Needless to say, I am already looking to sign on to the lap dance classes...
Let's just say I have a new appreciation for strippers. What a great workout!

I went to a private pole dancing party for my gf's bday. It was totally fun. They let us bring our drinks so since we are such graceful ladies, we delicately drank our mimosas. NOT! We pounded that shit before we started the class! Had lots of fun but not sure if she taught me new moves. I minused a star because we wanted to take pictures so she shaved 5 mins off our session to allow picture taking. Plus I felt a bit rushed since she had another class right after us. Oh well, nature of a biz I suppose.
She mentioned a pussy cat dolls dance class that I might sign up for. Loosen up my buttons babe! haha.
Oh one more thing worth mentioning was that she cleaned all the poles with alcohol for the next class. And the floor was sparkling clean for our seductive"crawl." Reeeow!

Amazing class... Carol really knows how to make you feel comfortable and super sexy. A group of friends of mine had a private pole party where we brought our own alcohol and snacks and then then took the class. We all had a really good time.
After that, we decided to take regular classes and thoroughly enjoyed it again. They taught us a great routine which was easy to learn. I higly recommend this for a fun night out!
The price per class may seem like a lot, but I defnitely think it's worth it!

Went here for a birthday party and we're still talking about it!
We were able to bring some drinks and snacks so we got there and had some liquid courage. We had a great instructor but I don't remember her name. We got to wear the hooker heels and they are easier to walk in than I expected. It really does make your legs look awesome and just puts you in the right attitude for the class.
We went through a warm up which makes you feel good and warm. Then we learned a sensual dance to some sexy music and then it was on to the pole tricks! We were all over it! Learned about 4 tricks, nothing too fancy but still cool. Then we had to get up on stage and do a little performance! Super fun!
It was a very relaxed environment and the intructor was very good about explaining the moves, what you should be feelling and thinking about when you do it etc. Makes you really tap into your femininity. We asked her if she could show us what she does and she was awesome! I was mesmirized by the shear altheticism she showed. Made me want to run out and take a pole dancing class but they are expensive!
You'd be surprised how many muscles you work without even knowing it! I woke up sore the next day!

So far its been so much fun! So sexy and yet lets me get in touch with my sexy dancer in me! Hahaha I'm currently taking their Pussy Cat dolls dance classes and my, is that a work out or WHAT! Theresa (or at least I think thats her name) works out our abs and all the first 30 minutes of class and it is INTENSE! But I love it! Absolutely! I want to try to take their pole dancing class... but like always, my job is the ruler of my life. LoL
FUN FUN FUN!!! although I do have a suggestion: make sure you get your drink on before you go--you want to make sure you can get loose on the poles! hahaha. went w/a group of about 15 girls, and I believe there were enough poles for 13 girls. great idea for a girls night out, birthday, etc. I believe they offer regular weekly classes, but it looked kinda pricey.

You don't have to be young, or perfect to have a good time here. My first pole class was a complete mix of ages and body types, and rather than being at all competitive it was a completely supportive environment.
Watching people learn how to walk on the stillettos the first time is a hoot!
Every woman should take one of these classes. Truly. Just do it!

Ladies, this is the place to learn some sensual dance moves that will make your man go crazy. It's also an empowering experience and a great workout - my arms and abs were sore for days afterwards. If you're looking for some bachelorette party ideas, you should look into this. I went with a group of friends and we had such a fun time. Everyone gets to wear a pair of stripper heels and you learn how to pole dance like the pros. The owner gave us our lesson and she just oozed sexiness! They also offer pilates classes in addition to the dance classes. The studio is located in a remote business area in Campbell and the address is not advertised so it's kept on the DL. There won't be any nasty peeping toms hanging around!

These Ladies are AWESOME! I was very hesitant about giggly thighs and dancing really not mixing, I had never done anything like it before. They made me totally feel at ease, confident and like I was a pro first go! I loved it.

recently attended a group class for my friend's bday. the stretches alone make you feel so sensual already. it helps that you can "BYOB" to loosen up before class. i loved the high stilletos...although i nearly tripped from excitement running across the room. we even performed a short sensual routine by the end of class with a couple basic pole twirls. after learning the basic pole twirl...i must consider pole dancing an art. too bad we have to enroll in more classes to learn more tricks, like sliding down upside down.
tips i've learned from class: it's all about the curves ladies & how to work them when you're trying to seduce your honey. even a morning stretch can be too HOT to handle!!
highly recommended for bachelorette-type parties...or any group events with your girlfriends!!
