Second Mill Pond is a large pond in southwest Sumter with many beautiful homes built around it. A boat ramp is located off Old W Liberty Street. No signs or regulations are posted at the ramp, but several signs throughout the pond warn you not to proceed any further because you are entering private property. I usually just ignore those signs, and kayak right on through. Legally, you can fish from shore from Liberty Street.
