Is this not the cutest place... EVER?
I was visiting Sebastopol,( which, if you go early enough, is just like Mayberry because all of the new Crack Hippies are still asleep) and stumbled upon this little delight! Cu-u-u-t-e-!
All sorts of delicious, good sized cookies right when you walk through the door... FRESHLY BAKED, 3 or 4 different roasts of coffee brewed at one time, sweet employees... fantstic pricing, I love this place. I never get out to Sebastopol even though it's so close., but because of this place I want to make a habit of treating myself to a nice morning cookie.
It also seems like a locals morning ritual which is usually a good sign that the owners are good business people, too.
OH! P.S. The first time I went in there was with my friend who is Vegan and they even had something for her! HAH!
I got a mocha and a butterscotch oatmeal cookie. The mocha was nothing exciting, and there was chocolate powder involved, which I really wish that places would keep under the counter or out of sight. It is kind of quaint because drinking things that are made out of powder makes me think that I am on a backpacking trip.
Speaking of backpacking trips, they have a cookie called the backpacker that has coconut and walnuts and all sorts of delicious things in it. The entire bottom of the cookie is one big allergy warning. But it sounds delicious. There will be a next time.
The employees were very sweet and were talking about their boyfriends and high school drama the whole time I was there editing photos at the limited seating. It's a great place to people-watch, and their pickup window is convenient too. I asked the guy who was working if he minded me using my laptop for an hour, and he said no, of course not, and even recommended a cafe down the street if I needed wifi.
I wish that they would have named it the Sebastopol Cooky Company for extra cute points. But the town's already pretty adorable as it is.
A small little bakery/cafe in downtown Sebastopol. It's staffed by high school students, so if you hang out for a bit and listen, you will get your daily gossip and remember days past. The coffee and teas are great, along with the baked goods.
The only complaint is that there isn't much on seating: four bar stools and a counter at the window. Otherwise it's a nice and chill place if you can grab a stool.
Seriously, do you have any cookies? Lots of cookies, espresso, muffins, and cute little hippies in this shop.
This town is so amazing, it's a must see if you are passing through to the coast of California. The whole town is full of artists, which is clear when you pass every street corner....sculptures everywhere!
I think the Barista mentioned that this town started the Green Party, which doesn't surprise me given the book shops, ethnic stores, and organic restaurants that consist of this town.
I was in awe, I must say. Most small towns are full of rednecks...this one is full of green thumbs.
Not only are the cookies, the best around, but their coffee is organic, local and the folks, Tim, Josh, Hope, and all the others, are the most gracious and upbeat people, making your morning better before your first sip or bite.
Enjoy,

Yay! Cookies! Fresh! and muffins too! I get a large coffee (my favorite too! Gayo Mountain blend by Taylor Maid Farms) and a muffin for under $4 on my work days. So awesome. Nuff said.
WOW!!!!!!!! I stopped by yesterday on my way through Sebastopol, hoping and praying that the cookies are made with butter and chocolate as opposed to tofu and carob. I was NOT disappointed! There is more butter in these cookies than in my own, and I double up on butter. The peanut butter and semi-sweet chocolate chip cookies may just be the best I have ever had. At the very least, they are the best I can recall having had in a long, long time. I am thankful that this cookie shop is not within driving distance of my home because I would not be able to resist a daily cookie or three (or four). SCRUMPTIOUS!!!
Your cookies ain't too shabby, Sebastopol Cookie Company. You don't carry my typical ideal cookie but that is a-okay.
My good friend worked here for a while so I let her order for me (when in Rome..). Magically I had a vegan snickerdoodle in one hand and a Chai with soy "Annie styles" in another. Both were delicious! I'm not sure if it's because it was a vegan cookie but it was thinner and kind of chewy yet crisp. And the Chai was well spiced with the perfect amount of soy and honey. Yum!
I have four words for you:
BLUEBERRY WHITE CHOCOLATE SCONES
Delicious beyond belief. If my high school friends and I ever ventured off our supposedly "closed" campus, we'd go here for a sugar rush in the form of iced coffees and scones. The milk chocolate chip cookies are amazing as well. And the pumpkin muffins. And pretty much every single item on the menu.
The cookies are really amazing at this little downtown storefront. A nice selection of various chocolate chip combos, ginger, cinnamon, and vanilla-flavored goods, all with very nice flavor and texture.
The folks behind the counter are great, too, and there's usually a free daily paper to read while you sit and munch.
The only problem is the coffee. In the five or six times I've been in, I've NEVER gotten a decent cup of coffee or decaf. It either smacks of soap or some other ingredient or has been burnt to undrinkability in the case of the decaf.
My advice? Grab your cookies here, your coffee at the little coffee bodega on the park (go out the front door of S'pol Cookie Co., cross the street, walk down to the park and take a right--it's called My Pal Joe or something and it's good), and go sit on a bench outside.
Sebastopol...we've got Mom's Apple Pie and Sebastopol Cookie Company! Two more reasons why West County is simply amazing. They even offer one vegan cookie and it's not so bad! Also, the semi-sweet chocolate chip is to die for...especially re-heated. I recommend the coffee as well-- you'll need it to wash down the butter! On those workday mornings when you're feeling generous and want to surprise your coworkers-- with something other than doughnuts, I'd recommend fresh, rich cookies from here! It's the breakfast of champions...
