I don't know why I love their soy lattes so much.  It's frothed soymilk and espresso, for crying out loud.  But I don't believe I've ever had a better one anywhere else, including the ones I make at home.  And pardon the tooting of my own horn, but I am damned awesome at steaming/frothing milk, and there's nothing complicated about pulling espresso shots.  But, like the ones I get from the Seattle's Bests at the Borders in Milpitas and Pleasanton, the soy latte is just one of my delicious, simple guilty pleasures.  There was one day I had two soy lattes from two different Seattle's Bests, and it was like 90 degrees outside!  I could drink those things all day, which is disgusting, but...  I'm Joss.  I'm disgusting.

Anyway, the baristas always make it a point to politely let me know my order's on its way, even though I'm usually the only person standing there.  Also, one barista in particular didn't give me crap in front of my younger sister when she found out I used my fake name for the order.  My sister gave me a very puzzled response when I said my name, and after explaining what I thought I was doing quietly, the barista asked what my real name was.  She didn't react with a Sneeze Latte, so that was cool.  Hey, if people didn't always get my real name wrong, I wouldn't have to go by "Jessica"!

I'm already salivating at the possibility of grabbing another latte after dinner tonight.  I haven't had one since that day I had two, which was last Saturday, thankyouverymuch.

CERTIFIED ONE OF THE BEST COFFEE PLACES. I never thought Borders has it.

Hungry. cant have cals. cant have caffeine. cant have good food this week. But my brain needs sugar before i pass out.

I asked the guy by the counter which one fits my preference, and he gave me some twilight Decaf. the staff are nice and very accomodating. no line but the tables are packed with bookworms and laptoppers. place is an A minus,  if without these pack of peeps.

My last Seattles Best experience was in the heart of Manila before i left PI. I dont know other Seattles Best coffee within 15miles from home other than this but Im sure if they open up one near Hayward-- id be an avid customer.
