5 reviews for Seattle Public Library - Green Lake Branch
I love going to this library.
The building puts you in a good mood as you enter. Staff are very nice.
I will say, however, that I was midway through a timed application for a professional job and had to print something and came back and someone had taken my spot.. even though there was a zip travel drive in the computer. a pile of books, a pen, my bag underneath minus the purse and a jacket on the chair!! His point of view.."it's an empty computer and anyoen woudl just sit down to use it." Mine was.. !!!@@#@$$$%%!!!!!
I never finished the job application. It took weeks before I called the school district and could speak about it. I am a poor typist and it was one of my mega moments.. I am apparently archived.
Point of story.. ir you use a public computer in the back corner.. don't get up to print something and plan on having your spot saved.
After a library run, go to Greenlake and take a physcal fitness run and appreciate the beauty of the park.
5 stars because I can request books online and go pick them up when I get the e-mail that they are ready. Just need to remember they are not open Monday and Tuesday mornings.
I was all worried about paying my 85 cent fine, and the librarian chuckled and looked at me like I was nuts. I guess there are some high rollers out there when it comes to library fines.

It's back, and better than ever! Now I don't have to worry about wearing my gas mask when coming in here, since the spores are all gone.

The library is great aside from its somewhat odd hours. Staff is friendly and helpful, and all the books work. The building itself is great.

The Green Lake branch of the public library system in Seattle isn't the biggest or most modern of all the locations but I love its history and the look of the building that was opened in 1910. Its a classic style with a wonderfully landscaped lawn that is smaller than most of the yards surrounding it. With a place on the National Register of Historic Places, developers won't have a chance at renovating it beyond its current Carnegie style.
