San Francisco, CA 94102This site is a godsend... an absolute must to anyone flying anywhere on just about every airline. Saves you so many headaches and makes the every-worsening flying experience just a bit better. Also make sure to check out their comparison charts so you can see how your regular airline stacks up to the competition.
If you want to optimize your comfort while crammed into your coach seat, be sure to scope it out on seatguru. If there is something quircky about your assigned seat (have to crane neck to view movie, tray table stored in the armrest, etc.), seatguru will fill you in on the details, good or bad. This can be invaluable on longer flights. Now, if only seatguru had the omniscience to let me know if the person that will be sitting next to me is a tool or a chatty Cathy, then we'd really be on to something.

Great site!
-1 star because it is missing a substantial amount of airlines...
Inches count in gay porn and airline seating. Wedging my 6'4 frame into a coach seat is already an exercise in living with pain, but knowing ahead of time exactly which seats to look for, and which to avoid, on any given flight can mean the difference between mere discomfort and pure agony.
The little seating charts on Expedia or Travelocity are not detailed enough to give you the real down-n-dirty--like the fact that certain rows on certain planes on certain airlines have narrower seats to account for the curvature of the fuselage.
SeatGuru shows you seating charts, seat dimensions and pitch (legroom) for every variation of every plane on nearly every major airline. It clearly highlights seats to avoid or seats to grab, and throws in detailed descriptions of the entertainment offerings and other detailed information about each aircraft. I've switched airlines on some routes just to avoid a particular aircraft, thanks to SeatGuru.com. I don't book a flight without getting the down and dirty from www.seatguru.com.
Now if they could just come up with something to tell me what dweeb will be sitting next to me trying to sell me life insurance all the way across the country or pointing out the cool new features on his Treo 650. I would PAY for a service like that!

I have been using seatguru.com for a few years now and I won't plan long haul travel without referencing it first. It is a great way to find out the best and worst seats on a given aircraft. Now if it could only tell me how to avoid the crying baby or the person who falls asleep on your shoulder I would be set.
If you want to get the most out of your flight, check out SeatGuru.com for the best seats. Color coding, and detailed maps. WOW!
I always make sure I check out SeatGuru before choosing seats for my flights. It's handy for those times you book last minute and all the aisle and window seats are taken, but at least you'll know which seats to avoid, and which of the bitch seats have the most legroom and recline.
seatguru is definitely cool. alas, i think people are catching on (read: airlines) and charging more for those bulkhead seats. the fucks.
