Being that this course is somewhat connected with such a gorgeous resort, I expected a little more. The course is in decent shape, but can be very pricey during peak times (about $85).
It is pretty similar to nearby DeLaVeaga, but a touch easier. It is tucked away in a neighborhood, and is a little tough to find. The clubhouse is dated, maybe built in the 1960's. The fairways are heavily guarded by trees, and the greens are small.
Overall, a fun course to play. But be sure to play during discounted twilight times, with a coupon, or through Golfnow. Otherwise, the price will leave you disappointed.
I've played here on several occasions over the years. I have a friend that lives not far from the course and enjoys playing here when we get together.
This course has some coupon deals in the SJ Mercury News from time to time (around $50 with cart). I'm not sure I would pay the standard rate to play here, as there are many other courses I'd rather play.
The condition of the course is good, but I have found the greens to be inconsistent. Overall, the course is fun with some exceptional holes. Many golf shots will end up on uneven lies and test your game.
The clubhouse is a bit dated, but still a good place to grab lunch or a drink after a round of golf.

This has always been one of my Bay Area favorites. Weekend rounds can be 6+ hours and traffic on PCH can be a bear.
It has something to offer everyone. The grippers and rippers, the challenging greens, the side hill lies. The short and long par 3's.
Play during the week. Play on a sunny day in the early AM and you will really enjoy your experience here.

Stuck at a bridal shower (who the hell takes the men with them anyways!?!) a friend of mine and I were assigned the honor of squatting for tables as Seacliff State Park at 7am. Not to be outdone, we quickly grabbed the Blackberry (which I have Google maps on, way a great piece of software that is!) and found Seascape Golf Course and Driving Range a mere 3 miles for our location! Yahtzee!
We throw both the golf bags into his truck and escape as soon as some other folks get there in relief duty.
Getting there was an adventure, its buried in a very residential area and the course seems to sprawl in every direction. Finding the clubhouse and driving rang was difficult as well. No good signage and no logical layout. I think this place was built for the locals and with no regard for the visiting golfer.
Once arriving to the driving range, I was pretty under whelmed. It was 12 badly beaten artificial mats with a clunky ball dispenser with only a few buckets. Hmmm...me thinks this is a bit lame. Oh well, at least I'm not hanging decorations. A quick $5 gets you a "medium" bucket, no count to speak of. The driving range is more like a small ravine that slants downhill. Your 145 yard 7-iron rolls easily to 175 yards.
All in all, it was a nice escape. The golf course itself looked great and I wouldn't mind giving that a go sometime in the future.

Cool Times at Aptos Seascape....
So for the last few months I have been playing here on the weekends after 5pm and the fee with a cart is under 30.00 and wkds is under 25.00. the course is in really great shape and with the hotter weather in San Jose where I work, coming home to a light fog or temps in the 70's and playing a round in just over 3hrs is great. the staff there is always top notch while the snack shack and cart girls don't stay there late, you can still get stuff from the bar. the bar is huge as they cater to weddings and events there all the time. the pro shop is well stocked and even has really nice rental cobras to play with if you didn't bring your clubs. the course winds in and out of the local houses there and it has some big elevation changes so walking is possible but the back 9 is for billy goats...lol the fairways are lined with huge eucalyptus and redwood and pine trees. there's no water on the front and a small pond on the back. thats not to say there aren't enough other hazards out there to get you. its a great course and I'm not sure why it doesn't seem to get more attention as to how good it is. but that's OK with me. there 2 putting areas and a small driving range too. so when the heat is too much to bear in the bay area give this track a chance to show you how cool it is and beat the heat and crowds, Enjoy....
PS, just finished another round with my son, 5pm start and finished all but 2 holes as we skipped past the 2 foursomes, and got in at 7:45, not bad 16 holes in 2 3/4hrs... we could have waited but hunger took over..lol
