My wife and I got a couple nights from her parents for a wedding gift and oh my god, AWESOME! We had some pretty high expectations, but geez... we had our minds blown away. We went straight there after the wedding, exhausted we checked in and were greeted by some super smiley front desk and bellmen. They were all congratulating us and yeah it was nice, nothing too over the top, but wonderful. Then we decided to head down to the lounge to get a late night snack around 10:30pm. This place was really nice too... They had a live duet singing and taking requests with a great ambiance. Then... we met by far one of the nicest waitresses ever. This girl, I believe Anna, was overwhelmingly nice and excited to serve us on our special night. Talk about go above and beyond she said something about how it was such an honor that she was able to serve us on our night. From there... DELICIOUS food! We had these great Parmesan fries fried in truffle oil and Caesar wrap. AWESOME! Then she went above and beyond in every way, and we'll keep that quiet so if it was bending the rules, we don't get her in trouble. :-) But yeah... Beautiful views, wonderful staff (Go Anna! Thank you if you read this!), and amazing food. Try the smoked salmon benedict too! If you're thinking about this place for anything at all... just do it, and you should be overly impressed. :-) Thank you Seascape for raising the bar!

- Also, there are two packages or "options" you should take advantage of...
1.  The Lobster dinner in your room (great food and great service)
2.  The bonfire s'more package (so nice, relaxing and fun... plus you get to play with fire.)

My fiance and I just returned from a two-night stay in a king spa suite at Seascape. There were several things about the resort that we greatly appreciated -- the folks at the front desk were very courteous and helpful, and the grounds are extremely well cared for. It's location on a bluff overlooking the Monterey Bay is supreme.

We also appreciated certain elements of our room, namely the *huge* double-jacuzzi and the patio that opened onto a wide expanse of grass and a partial view of the ocean. However, we were disappointed to find that the "kitchenette" comprised of tiny little niche with the smallest refrigerator imaginable and a microwave. (When we go on vacation, we like to intersperse restaurant meals with "home" cooking.) Also, the largest disappointment was the slightly rundown and rather dated state of our room.

Given that both of my parents majored in microbiology, I have extremely high  (quite possibly unreasonable) standards of cleanliness. Along this vein, I'm of the mindset that when you walk into a hotel room, its condition should be pristine. This wasn't the case with our suite. The rug was lumpy and stained in multiple paces, and the cleaning folks had missed rose petals and a pretzel stick next to the bed. Also, there were several minor maintenance issues that you just wouldn't expect to see in a high-quality establishment -- a faucet handle fell off, the gas fireplace did not work, and tiles were loose in the bathroom. Also, a mark in the middle of the ceiling led me to wonder if someone had chucked a shoe at it.

As far as I can fathom, the only logical reason one would have to pitch a shoe at the ceiling would be to inform upstairs neighbors of excessive noise. I can completely see how this might happen at Seascape -- the walls are paper thin to the extent that you can hear footsteps above and conversations next door. Our neighbors were quiet, but I can see how less considerate guests or perhaps a family with young kids might disrupt those seeking rest and relaxation.

The final nitpicky point I'll mention is that Seascape assesses an $18 per person resort fee. On top of that, a 10% tax is charged on the resort fee. We knew about it going in so it wasn't like we were suckered into paying the fee. However, since we didn't use to pool or Internet service, the only true amenity we availed ourselves of was a walk on the beach. It was nice, but not $39.60 worth of nice.

I came here over a year ago for a 2 night getaway with the family, and had a very relaxing stay here. Ocean views, plenty of green grass and open space. There are a few restaurants nearby, but it's rather isolated, as any good resort of this sort should be.

Beach access was also close enough for me  to drag my family down there to start up a late night bonfire. It was around the time of persian new year and we have an interesting tradition of jumping over fire for good luck/health...not as edgy or dangerous as it sounds, but yes, this is what we do while you are probably painting easter eggs or wearing a bunny suit.

Anyway, the rooms were great. We had a two room suite, which included two bathrooms, a kitchen, and  living room. Clean, comfortable and spacious. not breathtakingly luxurious, but close enough.

Admittedly, I've got a soft spot for Seascape - it is where I proposed to my now-wife six years ago.

The resort is beautiful, I wouldn't have picked it otherwise. It sits on top the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The rooms are large and clean, with kitchenettes.  There are a crapload of rooms here - HUGE property.  It has wonderful lawns to picnic or hold events such as weddings. And best of all, it's own private beach with stretch golf cart pickups and drop-offs.

I've stayed at Seascape several times now for both business and pleasure - and continue to be impressed. Their gym is good, spa wonderful, golf course challenging, and nearby eateries amazing. But nothing will beat the views...

Stayed here with the family for three nights on a trip up the coast of California. We were originally going to stay in Monterey but received a tip that this might be a better option. The room was well appointed with a kitchenette, flat screen TV, fireplace Internet and a great view (even thought it was stated as a partial ocean view). The location was perfect for our family because we were shuttling between activities in Santa Cruz and Monterey. Just be aware that this resort is located on Monterey Bay, and not in the city of Monterey ( which is a 30 min drive down the coast). This wasn't a problem for us, but it could be for you. I recommend this resort and would love to stay here again.
The only negative was the high resort fee (18 a day I think). I expect this in Maui and Palm Springs, but not in Aptos.. Anyway, not a big deal.

Tip - There is a great little pizza joint called Pizza-1 just up the road. They sell it by the slice or the whole pie and their salads are delicious too.

My wife and i stayed here for an anniversary weekend getaway in August.  It was during the time of the big fire, so the air was full of smoke the whole time.  But the resort was nice.  The pools were not anything spectacular and the beach is a long walk (we did not know how to summon the golf carts that others seem to be getting a ride in).

But we really liked our room.  We got the King Spa Suite so we had a very large Jacuzzi tub big enough for both of us comfortably, a flat screen LCD tv with DVD player, small fridge, etc.  The tub filled very quickly and hat plenty of hot water, contrary to another review I read.

The concierge desk was very helpful in having a package set up for us so that when my wife walked in the room there were roses, champagne, etc.

We drove about 5-10 minutes south to catch a movie a the theater in Watsonville.

I also spent the morning boogie boarding with a spring wet suit which kept me warm enough.  Waves were decent for boogie boarding, not Pismo, but decent.

This is not a five start resort, and some aspects are only 3 star.  But the jacuzzi tub in the room made it a 4 star for us.

I wouldn't think that this was worth the price at all. My husband and I went a few weeks before our wedding and paid a little less that $400 a night. We had a kitchenette that we didn't use because we only stayed there one night. We had their pre-fixe dinner that was mediocre at best. We expected a lot more. At that same price (or even less), you can get a lot more attentive service and more bang for the buck at a bed-and-breakfast in Santa Cruz or any nearby city.

As pointed out, I'm a tough one to give 5 stars but this place no doubt earned it! Pity we were only there for 1 night because I can see us having a great time for a whole week here!

We quite chanced upon this place during a winged roar trip in the bay area and are so glad that we decided to drive up to this place in the middle of the night from Santa Cruz~

The room was lovely (we had the 3rd floor one bedroom with kitchen) and the balcony had a beautiful view! The lobby was nice and the staff (all of them) were wonderfully happy and helpful!

The property itself is well maintained and serves the interests of diverse holidayers! Spa to beach to walks to sports - they're all there!

We even checked out the Sports Club and played table-tennis and basketball for a while - again friendly staff and generally well maintained club!

We came to check out Seascape for our potential wedding location.  We had a really hard time booking a tour (many calls and messages, they did send us a very informative wedding packet tho...) with the event coordinator so we just dropped in to see it for ourselves.

From the pictures on all those wedding sites and advertisements, this resort looks very secluded and private, but it's not.  The ceremony site is actually right in front of the patio dinning area, bar, and swimming pool.  So we got to watch 2 wedding ceremonies go on while enjoying our lunch, which btw, was very delicious.

The view is to die for but we passed on this location because of the close proximity of strangers and half naked people walking around...It would be very nice for a resort-y getaway...hint hint...

This place is a gem.  Surprising given the number of years I've been in the Bay Area, that I never heard of this development.  Added to the excellent location and facilities, this summer in order to boost occupancy the resort offers three nights for the price of 2, which is a really good deal.

My gf and I ate at the restaurant our first night (Father's Day, and longest day of the year) looking out at the ocean from the hilltop setting watching the setting sun.  Whereas the people writing reviews before mine panned the food as uninteresting, I would rate it higher.  In fact, I thought the kitchen did a great job on our entrees, whereas the service was spotty, and slow.  Alas.  We had room service the next night and that was very good, and speedy.  I thought the quality and the price for the room service, and even the dinner the night before were on par.

Also in a tip of the hat to the resort, the concierge helped us have a wonderful day at the beach.  They rented to us beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and a bucker of ice for our wine (complimentary, whereas the chairs and umbrellas were a modest $5 each).  Better, the bell staff picked us up at our suite, and whisked us down to the beach (it's a little long for a walk with all that stuff), and they also reversed the transportation with a single phone call from a resort phone nearby.  That made the day especially wonderful.

A lot of good things to recommend about this place.

I am a graduate student who was in need of a place to get some work done but I also needed some TLC - Seascape was heaven sent.
The place is beautiful, clean, very peaceful, a quick walk to the beach, nice pool, good hot tub and there is a good sized kitchen, bbq patio and the staff is excellent:

I had a problem with the TV (Ok so I am remote challenged) and I got immediate help.
I had a problem with the internet connection (yes there is a pattern here) and I got both immediate help.

I will be back again...

This one is tough.....

Both times I've been here, I've had a villa, which was really nice.  They were very clean and packed with cool little antique store relics (who doesn't love that??)

The rooms are nicely sized, and even had a tiny kitchenette kind of thing in case you feel like whipping up some coq au vin on your trip.

Why the three stars you ask... It's a nice resort.... BUT, there's absolutely nothing near by to really do.  I know i'm being nitpicky (is that a word?)  and that I'm sure people go there as a destination, to get their romanticals on... I personally like to know that there's a restaurant, a bar, maybe a fire department near by.

If you want to get away from it all, and actually like the person you'd be with... this is a great spot.  If you need a place to stay and go have a great dinner and go out... not for you.

I'm a graduate student and wanted to splurge on a nice weekend away to regroup from dissertation writing.  I made a very good choice.  The Seascape Resort is a beautiful location and, I believe, was worth the money I spent (fyi - summer discounts are available on their website).  The property actually reminded me more of a well-kept apartment complex than a hotel.

I reserved a studio spa king suite.  It was much larger than I expected it to be, and the room was very clean and well-appointed.  It included a large spa, microwave, refrigerator, panel tv, patio, separate shower, easy-to-operate fireplace, and a big comfy bed.

A couple of issues with my room: (1) The rooms do not have air conditioning, but they do have well-placed ceiling fans.  However, the fan in my room had an extremely irritating, and loud, ticking noise that I just couldn't endure and so I used the fan only minimally (thankfully, it wasn't too warm during my visit).  (2) While the spa was big and wonderful, the hot water pressure was so low that it took over an hour to fill the thing.  Argghh!

I ordered room service both nights of my stay and both times my food was at my room within 15 minutes--and it was quite tasty (of course, all I ordered was a turkey burger and fries, but it was so good!).  I dined at Sanderlings, the resort restaurant, once, but wasn't overly impressed with the food.  But the prices were decent and the view was a-ma-zing.

Service, from the front desk to the room service to the restaurant was very good--no complaints there at all.

All in all, I had a wonderful, relaxing and much needed solo vacation, and I most definitely recommend Seascape.

I've never swam with the dolphins or riden a unicorn. I have never shook hands with a cyclops or saved Narnia from the clutches of the Ice Queen. But one thing that I have done is attend a wedding at the beautiful Seascape Resort.

It was a lovely day in August and I awoke at 4 am to frequent phone calls from the fellow grooms men reminding me to get up so we can get to the golf course......stat! Being my first time actually in a wedding, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. We arrive at the golf course a little after 7 in the morning and immediately begin taking shots of Patron. Tequila...sheesh. We then buy 18 beers at the food register that cost us $75 because each beer was $4! But who cares! It's a celebatory 18 pack, right. So we continue on to play the front 9 and I must say that the golf course is well kept and except for the thick coastal fog that blocked the natural scenery, the feel and ambiance of the course was quite relaxing. Anyway, we finish the front 9 and decide to head back in for a couple more rounds of Patron. Tequila, sheesh.

We start the back 9 and man it was hilarious. Guys were swinging and whiffing as if they were up at the plate facing Nolan Ryan with a wiffle ball bat. We finish our golf game and notice that we have an hour and a half before we meet up with the rest of the wedding crew for the wedding rehearsal. Haha, wedding rehearsal! We show up only to find that the bridesmaids had the same alcohol-enhanced demeanor. What a fiasco! The wedding coordinators did a great job organizing and dealing with our debauchery. +3 for that!

So we continue partying through the rest of the day and into the night. Our suite was on the cliff that overlooks the ocean and we made great use of the back patio. The Patron kicked in and I decided to hike down the cliff towards the ocean. Sounds like a great idea right? Wrong! Well, the pacific coastline just happens to be filled with poison oak. And I guess when you start drinking at 6 in the morning you tend to throw your decision making out the window. To add on top of that I sat in a jacuzzi after returning from my adventure, which I didn't find out until later is the worst thing to do because hot water opens up your pores allowing the poison to spread exponentially. If you haven't had poison oak covering 75 percent of your body you haven't been tortured yet. It sucks! Blisters, Puss, itching, calamine lotion, people looking at you funny...what a night!

The next day was the wedding and I wasn't doing to well, but I sacked it up and had a great time. The food was magnificent, the service was awesome, it was a beautiful day of itching and celebrating! What a beautiful resort and my only constructive criticism is to put up signs warning of poison oak for idiots like me who can't control themselves when they are drinking tequila! =) Itch itch...

WOW!!

If you ever get the chance, try and stay at this resort at least once in your lifetime!!  You can guarantee you won't be disappointed.  I finally had the opportunity to stay overnight instead of the daily visits and sneaking in on the side walkway along the tracks through the weeds and down to the beach next to this lovely resort...lol!!!  Staying is SOOOO much better.....

We rented a 2 bedroom villa complete with 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, 2 pull out beds, a living room, a front room, fireplace, flat screen TV in the main room as well as TV's in both rooms, DVD player,  washer and dryer, and a full kitchen along with maid service.  You can't beat that....and we were walking distance to the pool/jacuzzi as well as the beautiful trails.

For 2 nights we enjoyed what Seascape had to offer.  The weather was a bit cloudy on one of the days but lightened up for just enough time to get a quick walk in and catch the whales and enjoy some sunshine.  This is relaxation!!!  Early that same morning dolphins could be seen frolicking along the coast line...I was in complete vacation mode by now....ahhh......

The greens around the area were well kept.  The staff was also very friendly.  Parking was also easy and in the evenings, the noise was kept down to a minimum.  We enjoyed coffee and breakfast in our little patio which came complete with an electric BBQ'er.

This trip was very relaxing.  I'll be back again when I need to get away from the bay area.  (which for me is every other weekend...lol.)

We love Seascape! The resort truly feels like an oceanfront home away from home. We always stay in a 1- or 2-bedroom villa with deluxe ocean view. Love it!

The views are incredible. Easy access to the beach (they even have shuttle service to and from the beach). Charming shopping center nearby with lots of friendly locals.

Each villa includes a BBQ on the patio or balcony. Perfect for family get togethers.

Check often for special "Hot Dates". They just about slash the prices in half. http://www.seascaperes...

I love my family, mostly because they are great and also because there is only 2 of them left; my Mom and my sister. My Dad and I were best friends but he died way too young and well, what can you do? Having said that, after staying with my sister at a recent family wedding and driving my Mom everywhere because she broke her kneecap I realized that hey, I need to get away for a day and spend some me time on me. So what to do, what to do, that's the question.

Go get something to eat, then go to the beach. What can beat that? So off to Gayle's in Capitola for a wonderful grilled marinated juicy chicken breast sandwich with tangy herb mayonnaise and a splash of lemon juice on freshly baked thick sliced sourdough bread. So flavorful and well-blended with a perfect balance of sour and creaminess with nice big chunks of chicken to savor as you chew and swallow each bite. Freshly baked bread just makes an average sandwich great, Gayle knows that and does it to perfection. To follow it up, I also ordered a galete of strawberry/blackberry mix. It was flaky, light with a hint of egg and butter topped off with baked in crystals of sugar to sweeten the browned crust with extra flavor. The sweet-sour, crunchy berries flooded my mouth with a burst of happiness that put a smile on my face and lasted all day even until now. Love sour fruit, sour candy, sour anything. By the way, why do cafes give you wooden stirrers for the coffee? Isn't that a tree killing habit? I felt guilty mixing my vanilla soy/Splenda with my piping hot coffee thinking about the unneeded decimating of the forests. Enough said about that...

After Gayle's, off to Seacliff Beach for a brisk beach walk along the edge of the lapping shore.  Cold wind braced me as I leaned into it all the way past the visitor center, on to the old and now broken cement ship called the SS Palo Alto. Sea otters ringed the old, rotting girl... diving, surfacing, flapping their webbed feet against the swell, lazily breaking, then munching their daily feast of shells, mussels, clams and crabs on their well-oiled furry chests. YUM! I have my food, they have theirs. Sometimes, theirs sound better. Free cioppino. I may be Norwegian but I wish I was an Italian who has a summer home in France. Norwegian food is the worst. Ludefisk and lefsa... BLEECH! *shiver down spine*

An hour or so passed and I move along to the beautiful Seascape Resort, a totally hidden gem along the Aptos shoreline. Elegant, spectacular, private where you can stretch out in the sun by the pool talking to old friends, catching up with lives and sharing your own until the batteries wear out. Watching nervous, glowing brides-to-be discuss their future plans and dreams as they walk out to the special altar that looks out over the sea. Slowly wandering down the windy path between the early, fooled-by-the-sun flowers as they begin to bloom down to the sand where laughing groups huddle around firepits roasting hopefully-not-sandy-from-the-blowing-canyon-zephyr marshmallows in their fleece jackets and pants.

Seascape has so many avenues for one to unwind, relax, decompress, get back in center with yourself in the fresh air of the California coast. The rooms are large, comfortable and equipped with vistas of the euclalyptus (i know that's spelled wrong but i love to get ucla in where ever i can) trees, strands and incoming waves that constantly beat against the ever-shifting sand. Life goes on, nature goes on, change goes on.. constantly, relentlessly, consistently. The grounds were immaculate, the staff excellent, the breakfast prompt and attentive. You feel like you are a million miles away even though reality is only a mountain over towards the east where work, family and responsibility awaits.

Thank you Seascape. You were just the tonic that I needed.

Friends signed us up for a long weekend in a townhouse at Seascape, and it was a great family vacation for us and the total of four little boys.  The service is incredibly helpful and friendly -- they helped out and accommodated any need we had.  We had bushels of beach gear to lug up and down the hill to the beach, and the hotel shuttles were fast, efficient, friendly and the kids thought it was the best part of the stay.  We spent mornings at the beach (sometimes foggy, but the kids didn't care) and afternoons at one of the several warm pools.

We also signed up for a smores/campfire one evening, which was super fun -- they bring you down to the beach before sunset, set out chairs and a box of smore ingredients, and take pictures for you.  Plus I just can't say enough times how nice all the "cabana boys" were that shuttled us around.

The townhouse was clean and functional with all the stuff a family needs, and we ended up eating most meals in the house with the kids.  Room service worked well too and the kids got free beach pails with their meals.  The nearby natural grocery store is pretty and upscale, filling in anything we forgot to buy ahead of time.

Overall: low-hassle family vacation with great beach and pool options.

We had our wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful here. They helped us out so much with the wedding process and plans. Not to mention the food was perfect and our guests could not get enough of it. We had a master suite and it had a fantastic view. I think the only thing we weren't excited was about was just how it was a bit on the pricey side.

Perfect weather, perfect ceremony, perfect venue.
Seascape took such amazingly good care of my family and I through the entire wedding process. During the event I didn't have to worry about a thing! All the girls that helped out were fun and easy going. The suite we stayed in was beautiful and there was a bottle of champagne waiting with a box of chocolate!

If I had to do it all over again, I'd do it exactly the same.

What a magical place! I'm going to have to come back and have my wedding here. I planned our annual holiday party here last year and we lucked out. It was November with a high of 80s, excellent weather for the coast! We had the all you can eat appetizers and cocktails for the evening. Four appetizers with a fruit and cheese platter. The cheeses were to die for! I think that's all I ate throughout the evening. It was a variety of like five cheese with yummy croutinis. The local cheese were aged nicely and rich with flavor. We had the chicken satay, teriyaki meatballs, fried artichoke, and goat cheese pizzas. The chicken was tender, could use a bit more sauce though. The teriyaki meatballs were good, no complaints there. The fried artichoke were a bit too greasy for me and because they did sit out for some time during the evening, weren't all that crispy. The goat cheese pizza had to be my favorite appetizer. The crust was thin and crispy and it had just the right amount of toppings. We were all mingling out on the balcony and a wedding ceremony took place. The bridge lucked out with the weather, it made for a more perfect setting. After the appetizers and cocktails we went down to the beach for a bonfire and s'mores. They escort you down in golf carts to the beach. It's so surreal with the sunset and perfect weather. I can never get enough of this place :)

Excellent location, great staff, great views. Nice in room massage and the atmosphere overall was wonderful. I would stay here again but I would not eat here again.

The food was average at best. How do you mess us a salad? I had breakfast and lunch there and clearly the restaurant is NOT in par with the resort. There was a deli across the street with fabulous sandwiches and salads that helped the dining experience.

Gorgeous resort, with breathtaking views of the ocean. Not much activities to do on the resort if you're a younger adult (my boyfriend and I were 22 years old when we came here) other than good ol'  R&R. Which was fine since we just came to spend some quality time with each other on our 5 year anniversary.

If you come here, be sure to book a jacuzzi suite! Nothing is better than relaxing in the tub drinking champagne, and eating strawberries w/ whipped cream by candlelight. Na mean? HOLLA if you heaaaar me! haha

Seascape is a great location directly above the beach.  Views are glorious and you can easily walk down to the beach.  The place is very nice, but expensive and not well sound insulated so that you hear your neighbors talking, opening and closing drawers and watching TV.  We've been here numerous times and like the Northside 2 bedroom units.  It's a nice combination of hotel (maid service, room service) and kitchen amenities so that you don't have to eat out all the time.

Update 6/7/05: what a perfect wedding it turned out to be at Seascape! this resort has a very tranquil atmosphere and impeccable service. everything was beautiful, everything flowed the way it should. the ceremony was held on a bluff overlooking the ocean and reception was held in an upstairs banquet room with nothing but views all around. what a fun time!

i will be attending a wedding here this weekend for one of my best friends, carla 'san diego' badillo. she will become mrs. jasminder chattha-- finally!   i will update my review of seascape when i get back to town on monday!

Gorgeous scenery!  Great location for a wedding!  The food was delicious!  As a guest, I felt spoiled.  Sitting on the patio at the end of a friend's wedding staring up at a star filled sky hearing the waves crash against the shore induced relaxation, luxury, and time to bond with friends.

Plus, there were golf carts to take you from the front entrance to your car.  Nice touch!

I work at the UC and my office holds small conferences for teachers twice yearly here. I have to coordinate much of the logistics for these. The Seascape is definitely a great place to have a company event - the conference staff is really helpful, even with last minute requests/changes. I actively dislike event-planning and yet the Seascape staff are so attentive and great that I sometimes forget this. We've also never had any complaints about the food or the accommodations from our participants - they always talk about the nice, comfortable rooms and the delicious food, as well as the beautiful views.

As for the food...I've tasted the banquet food here many times, and I've been to Sanderlings, the in-house restuarant, twice. While it's all hotel food - nothing really inventive or worth raving about- it's solid. I had a nice buttery halibut dish at Sanderlings. For the banquet meals, I enjoy their turkey burgers and the roast beef-brie sandwiches. Of course, I've never paid for any of this out of my own pocket since it comes with the job. Sanderlings is definitely overpriced and I probably wouldn't go there if I had to pay myself.

Everything at Seascape was perfect!! We are going here for a company retreat at the end of September, and I went for a one-night visit to check it out and make sure the meeting space was adequate, etc. Everyone who works there has been fantastic. Everyone is very friendly, from the lady checking me in, to the guys who opened the lobby door every time I entered or exited, to the sales person and catering manager I'd been working with.
I arrived around 6:30 on a Sunday night, just before sunset. They left me a basket of cheese and crackers, along with a great bottle of wine, so I quickly toured the MASSIVE CONDO I was staying in, and settle on the second floor balcony to enjoy the sunset with a glass of Estancia Pinot and some brie cheese.
Dinner at Sanderlings was good, service was surprisingly disappointing. The waitstaff was very inexperienced and unprofessional, almost awkward. Calamari was INCREDIBLE and salmon was very good. Starter salad was nasty...greens with some over-ripened tomato and no dressing.
The views from almost every condo are amazing, grounds are very well kept, fire pits around the property are a nice addition.
I can't wait to go back for our company retreat!!!!

Exactly what pearl m. wrote is what I was going to write. My fiance and I stayed here for our anniversary last year. We booked a jacuzzi suite online when they had one of their web specials posted. Definitely a nice place to take your significant other and spend some quality/personal time together. The room was fully equip with wine glasses, bottle opener, mini fridge, sink, gas fire place, flat screen tv, stereo system, patio furniture to watch the sunset, lots of towels, BIG bathroom, really comfy bed, VERY clean and well up-kept. What more could you ask for right?

In the price, they add on a resort fee which covers all the tips and what not. This came in handy when we walked down the long walk way to the beach. We weren't looking forward to walking back up but luckily one of the staff had a golf cart waiting for us and offered to give us a ride back to our room. Just a "Thanks for the ride!" and that was it! If you're looking for places to eat around the area, there is a crowded mexican restaurant across the street, along with a liquor store and a few other little shops.

We'll probably end up staying here again in the future since we really enjoyed our time together here.

I used to go here alot of times throughout each year. Im sad now that i dont.

We have this family friend whom we have been friends for since 1st grade and they owned a room in this resort. They would alwasy invite us over and we would stay in the extra bedroom. I remember our family would alwasy bring the food and we would have bbqs or a special vietnamese dinner. We would always go to the pool whether it was the one in the higher section or the one near the lobby. The higher section pool has a mini pond that one time we played in for fun. We were like 10-12.  The higher section pool is really nice bcause there is this mini golf area and a fire pit. I remember chilln there and just talking with my friend and his older cousins. The area also has a nice view of the beach which is gorgeous at sundown. There is also a grass area where we played football and soccer at one time. Gosh there are so many memories here.
Near the lobby there is a restaurant and we ate there one time because they had a special breakfast. The pool is nice but the upper one is better. The hottub near the lobby is cool though since its surrounded by rocks. The lobby is nice and outside theres a big area to relax. I remember coming back from the beach and sitting there on the couch playing spoons and watching a movie. The resort just gives you that warmth feeling. I highly recomend this place.

My Aunt got married here. She got married at the same spot as in the picture. It was such a beautiful day and i was the ring bearer. We ate at the restaurant on the second floot which was really nice and the food was great. The view anywhere fromthis place is simply gorgeous.
Sometimes we would walk past the tracks and into the nearby shops to get some snacks. This place is just too chill to be worryign about anything.

Now the beach. Beautiful beach whether its in the morning or at night. I walked around here at liek 5 in the morning before and it was jst relaxing. Cold, but relaxing. During the day we would come to the beach to eat or play sports or swim. Im hella fast on the sand when we play football. Boogyboarding is also great here and the water is fine. The sun is high and mighty so a tan is garunteed is wanted. At night we have fires and do the classic smores nightime snack. We came on July 4th one time and brought fireworks. It was simply the best time of summer. There was smoke evrywhere and flashlightsin everyones hands. Anything at this resort is perfect. There is also a cliff at the beach where we climb to get catstail to start the fires.

THE GOLF CARTS ARE BOMB! Calling from your room to get a ride is the best thing ever! Sometimes they are late but its all good. Calling from the beach sucks though cuz it takes forever and theres alot of people waiting. I need to come here again soon but sadly we dont talk to our family friends anymore....

Very pretty, very nice, very relaxing, great views and great service. Weekends seem to be a pretty poppin' time around here. Staff reported that it is much quieter during the weekdays, so be sure to note that. The lobby was beautiful with a large u-shaped sofa around a fireplace and open ceiling...I wish I had a book. The pool and hot tub were nice and inviting, but forgot a bathing suit. They even have paved lit paths to the beach. And for a fee, they will start you a bonfire complete with s'mores. I would love to come back and try that.

I stayed in the suite with a partial ocean view, hot tub, fireplace and bbq patio; great view of the sunset.  It's nice to take a stroll at the beach or visit the on-site gym and tennis courts.  Very relaxing place.  This place is more for older folks or it would be great for big group get-togethers.  Downside is that it has more of a suburban neighborhood feel than a resort.

We went here for a weekend bachelorette retreat.  Aptos is a pretty sleepy town in general so i was nervous this was going to be full of older people and families.  It was but we had our own condo so we didn't even care.  Each room has a full stocked kitchenette, electric BBQ on your patio, and it's a two room suite each with the own bathroom and a sleeper couch with a bathroom downstairs.  We arranged for a camp fire and smore which was cool because they picked us up and took us down to the beach. Pretty much anywhere you need to go you can get a golf cart to take you there.  Very friendly staff as well.  Only downside is that the bar closes super early.  Like midnight.  All in all, I would love to gather a group and reserve three to four condos in a row and just make my own party.  The weddings looked great too!

my family & i have been frequenting this resort for years.
whether a birthday, family vacation or weekend getaway is the excuse---
seascape never disappoints. this place is truly a retreat and a northern california gem. if you're in need a hawaiian vacation, but don't have the time to getaway-- your appetite is sure to be satiated by a stay at this coastal resort. however, rates are a bit pricy, but WELL worth it. especially if you frequent their site or sign-up for their mailing list- they often have generous deals. the 2 bedroom can comfortably fit 10-12 people [who don't mind getting a little cozy].

I came here for a company offsite, and it turned out to be a really lovely place!  The condos were very nice and clean, and the service was excellent.  It's a great location for a quiet weekend getaway, or a place to party with some friends.  I used the bellstaff quite a bit, and they were a fabulous lot of guys.  Really polite, willing to go the extra mile, and kept smiling despite my drunken banter.  They were pretty lax about the rules (pool times, bar times, etc) as long as we didn't make a fuss, and generally cool to be around.

We had an event down on the beach, and it was really beautiful.  They equipped us with fire pits and smores, I don't think they could have made the cold March-time beach any better.  Highly recommended, I would definitely come back!

my friend recently got married here and this was my 1st "white" wedding I have ever been to. It was the best thing the missus and I have ever experienced. The view down to the shore was beautiful and the hotel itself was pretty nice, clean and the food for the wedding was pretty good too.

Im mos def. coming back for 4th of July or some other long weekend. good place to bring the kids to and having a day at the beach..

We just came back from a mini-stay at the Seascape, although the weather was too cold & windy to enjoy the beach, but it was still a wonderful stay, they are currently offering very good deals & we had booked a one-bedroom villa, and they gave a 2-bedroom instead, (a mistake??? or was it a nice gesture???)it was spacious w/ great ocean views, although we didn't have a chance to use their kitchen but it's nice to have it available. The staff was friendly & helpful, they have shuttles that take us down to the beach & even though it was freezing, it was still very beautiful. We had lunch twice at the Sanderlings restaurant that on the premise, of course it offers nice ocean view & outdoor seating, the best part is, they offer lunch special at $6.95!!!!! I couldn't believe it! this is the price you pay for a meal at the McDonald! not at a nice restaurant w/ ocean view! and it tastes great too! I will definitely come back & recommend to everyone!

I just attended a seminar/workshop at the Seascape Resort. We were here for 2.5 days, and both had the seminar at Seascape and stayed in the hotel there.

Firstly, the staff and the location are phenomenal. There was something very special about waking up and looking out the window at the panorama of the Pacific Ocean. It was amazing to be able to run along the beach and enjoy the fresh sea air. The meeting rooms and food were top notch and the facilities of the resort are very good.

There were only two negatives in the experience here. One, the rooms and the decor are in urgent and dire need of an update. They look tired and dated. Some of the furniture is the worse for wear and the bathrooms really need something to help spruce them up. Secondly, the internet connectivity is extremely poor. It's so very slow, and very unreliable. In this day and age, and with people coming from San Francisco and the Bay Area who are used to being connected, this is one service that a hotel or resort cannot afford to be poor in.

Still, 4 stars for the location and the excellent staff and general facilities.

This place is absolutely gorgeous.  You can see the ocean from every room in the hotel, if you go during the winter months like early fall or late spring, the weather is pretty nice and you can save a great deal of money.  I went with 8 girls and we easily all fit in a 2 bedroom villa with king beds and a pull out couch, plus 3 bathrooms.
There are  few heated pools, bon fire pits, and lots of areas to walk around and lounge at.  They even have an indoor fire pit in the lobby that is just nice to sit around at, at night time.  There are also trails that take you right down to the beach.  However the best part of this hotel has to be the views.

A side tip, the resort is huge and the staff rides around on golf carts they will pick you up from your room in them and take you to the lobby or any where you ask.

A very nice venue for a wedding. Amazing view of the ocean. This is a very family oriented resort. Expect lots of rugrats running around. And things shut down really early. However, it really is a great place for a family vacation because of the presence of the pool and proximity to the beach.

The drawbacks to having a wedding ceremony here was that the event becomes a spectacle for the guests sitting in the patio behind the resort to watch. Also, during the service we could hear the resort DJ talking to guests and there were some planes that flew loudly overhead. Otherwise the wedding ceremony location was truly gorgeous and the weather was ideal.

The reception occurred in a ballroom on the top floor with the same incredible view of the ocean. The food at the reception was not impressive. The steak was okay but the lobster was poached beyond recognition and was covered in a bland cream sauce. The potato was extremely dry and the vegetables flavorless.

While the food was quite bad, I don't want that to take away from how nice this place is as a wedding venue. The people working here are really nice and again the view is spectacular. The front desk people are so nice that at 10 pm when we came down from our room to hunt for a snack, they offered to open up the gift shop for us rather than have us drive off site to the nearest market. How nice is that?

There is a bonfire pit outside on the patio and a fireplace in the lobby also. I always find fireplaces and bonfire pits to be comforting and cozy.

The room we had was the cheapest they have - a studio suite with full kitchen, balcony, and king size bed. The room had a flat screen TV with several channels available including HBO. Not too shabby. We were very comfortable.
