I bought a fridge here in August 2011, and I love it. I saved about $400 fro other stores. Mine has a little tiny dent/scratch on the front, but I put pictures on my fridge, so it's covered by a great pic of my nieces!!!!!

They called 3 times to confirm my delivery date and time. The delivery drivers were kind, on time, and very helpful in hooking everything up!  They were professional and clean.

My sister just had a washer delivered from here. They helped her move a few things in the garage, and when she told them she wanted to hook up a vent for the dryer (while the washer was pulled out) they said, "Oh, let us do that for you!"  And, when they saw the vent she wanted to put on, they said, "No wait, we have a better one in the truck we can give you!"

They were extremely helpful, professional, and went above and beyond.  What was a stressful time (having to spend $$ for a new washer) ended up being a very nice experience.

This is where appliances and souls go to die.

The place is huge, out in the middle of nowhere - and it has no heat.  It was colder inside the building than outside.  Most of the staff were wearing hats and jackets.

BUT ... I got a $790 dryer for $350.  The door looks like it was attacked by an angry t-rex though ... but since my laundry room is tucked away, who cares about the dents and scratches.  I can think of much better ways to spend the $300+ I saved.

Delivery is $69 on weekdays / $79 on weekends.  Delivery charge is up to 5 total items ... so I guess if you were ordering 5 refrigerators for your mansion, this would be a good deal.  $10 per unit for things they need to haul away for you.  I feel that these delivery charges discriminate against people without trucks and strong upper bodies ... but I have no legal standing on this.

I certainly wouldn't come here to browse (although they do have clothes, accessories and other stuff some buyer overbought) - all steeply discounted from MSRP.  The clothes were all really cheap (like $5-$10 cheap), but the electronics and stuff weren't that amazingly priced.  Despite my snarky comments, I probably will be back if I need a big appliance.  Service was quite friendly - much friendlier than I would be if I had to wear a hat, gloves and jacket during work inside a building.

I'm changing my review from 2 to 3 stars and here's why: I called the outlet directly and told them I wanted to exchange the broken dryer or return the set. When they didn't have the same dryer in stock they ordered me a brand new one and didn't make me pay the difference. Delivery came a day and a half later. I can't say I'll go back but at this point I'd consider it which is much different than I felt two days ago.

Word to the wise: If you have any problems with your purchases skip the 800 number and call the outlet directly.

Too bad there isn't a zero stars as the Kenmore "Elite" range I purchased (at a ridiculous price) is NOT elite in any sense of the word.  The only thing worse than the range itself is the painfully poor service.  This review is not for this particular Sears, but a general warning to beware if you purchase an appliance from Sears as they have the worst service I have ever experienced!

Our range/oven was delivered in mid April of this year (so is really practically brand new!).  First the installation people (Sears only contracts James Stalie Construction for my area - double warning!) couldn't install it even though I had given them exact requirements for the work.  We had to hire a private contractor to complete the job and get the range installed.  Now, the oven door has a broken part - a "safety hinge", apparently made with the cheapest material available, holding a major door spring is kaput.  What a surprise.  Now the door is only hinged on one side so the oven cannot be used at all.

For some reason, the repair department (in Tucson, AZ) is unable to order the part to send out with the technician (who may come Thursday, sometime between 8 am and noon), meaning I will probably have to wait around my house two separate days in order to get it fixed.  If it even can be fixed.  According to him, only the technician can order the part, even though I have the model #, serial #, and can give them the page # in the manual with a picture of the broken part.  At this point I wanted to file a complaint with Sears, and could only get an address in Illinois.  No supervisor on the floor at the 800-4MY-HOME, no direct phone number to supervisor, no way for "Greg" to find out when "Theresa", said supervisor, would be available.

And, waited all morning for a service tech. You guess right, none showed up.  When I called to complain about that, "Keisha" put me on permanent hold - I hung up after 30 minutes.  Time spent finding more Sears stores on which to post this Yelp!

Now reiterating, this is the worst service I have ever experienced!  No sale, promotion, or even splendid product review could ever convince me to purchase a Sears appliance again!

I purchased a double oven at the Sears Outlet in April of 2007.  Along with my oven, I purchased a 5-year warranty.  Last week, that oven died.  I called Sears for repair, and they had no record of the warranty that I paid hundreds of dollars for.  So after speaking to a few people I was told I'd need to fax in my receipt.  Fortunately I still had it and faxed it in.  Three days later Sears still has no record of my warranty - apparently the person who sold me the oven and warranty didn't enter it correctly, and now my family and I have gone over a week without a working oven, and we've got at least another weekend before anything will be done.  Consider me a very pissed off customer.

The appliances are cheap - but beware. Supposedly, they check all the machines they sell, but THEY DON'T!

My mom bought a dishwasher that was BROKEN and Sears sold it as though it worked! Everything went wrong - they changed the delivery times four times, sent several people over to fix it who all said that it wasn't their problem, and the people in the store only tried to up sell us and looked at us with blank stares when we explained we just needed it fixed.

It's now a month later, and everyone in customer service continues to say it's not their problem and pass the buck.

I do not recommend this store because if your machine is not working properly upon purchase they don't care.

This is a LEGIT outlet if you want to scavenge for some cheap finds. It's this giant warehouse in the middle of an industrial factory area, but it wasn't hard to get to off the 880 freeway. We came here looking for a fridge but decided to not move forward because there weren't as many options for the particular style we wanted.

Don't even waste your time going to the other small and skimpy Sears outlets. This one is definitely one to hit up if you're looking for good deals on major appliances. They also had patio furniture, tools, and clothes when I went there, so you might go in looking for something and walk out with something else.

And don't expect some primp and proper place! Although the workers here were nice and greeted us promptly (they must've been on some kind of customer-friendly contest or something the day we went because they ALL greeted us), the place isn't decorated at all and reminds me of a half-naked Costco.

The husband and I want to come back up here to buy a washer and dryer. We saw quite a few sets of W&D's for pretty good prices, and they were all name-brand too.

Great selection of expensive appliances that are marked down because of scratches, nicks or returns.

I bought a washer and dryer last week at about 1/2 of the store price, and paid for a 5 year warrantee - - there is some miscommunication if you buy an appliance at an outlet vs online or a store - - but ultimately it gets sorted out with the warrantee.

6 years ago I bought about 40K worth of high end GE appliances from University Electric with a 5 year warrantee, and every appliance crapped out and was either repaired several times or outright replaced within the 5 years - - the only things I have left are the stove and the refrigerator, well, they did replace a $4000 refrigerator about 3 years into the warrantee because the door seals melted.

Also got some good deals on winter clothes at the sears outlet

Shopped for a fridge, hoping to find the exact fridge I wanted, and did find it here at the Sears Outlet (It's more of a warehouse, than a retail store).

Very large selection of refrigerators of all styles and prices, some  were very inexpensive. Many Kenmores, Amanas some Samsungs, Maytags but only a few LGs.....A near overwhelming array of washing machines and dryers, stoves and microwaves...clothes too. Much of it 50% or more off the retail prices, so good deals can be had.

Found the exact fridge that I wanted here: 20-cubic foot LG French door refrigerator, 40% off its retail price. Was a little skittish at first, because although I was expecting a scratch-and-dent example, the sticker on this one said "unrepairable" which gave me pause for thought. the salesman (Frank) promptly removed it and assured that it wasn't supposed to be there (and in all fairness, no other items had that sticker). This particular example had very minor nicks and shallow scrapes, so was par for the course, actually a little cleaner than I had expected. We asked Frank to hold it, and so it was tagged with a 'sold' tag, and plugged in, shortly after wards, began to cool down.

We left to confer, and checked out Airport Appliance, and after lunch when we returned, the refrigerator was very cold, and the freezer was icy cold. Good to go. Excellent price on delivery service ($65) which cinched the deal too.

This is a warehouse - meaning more like a  storage facility than a retail establishment: concrete floors, minimal fluorescent lighting and what you see is what you get.  Take the time to pull your appliance from the row and inspect it very thoroughly, especially large items like refrigerators as although some of these items are marked as 'new', some marked as returns, most will have minor cosmetic damage - so don't rush to pick one out.

Would recommend to anyone looking for a deal - pretty well staffed too. Plenty of parking, but don't expect a fancy shopping experience. Worth the drive, (even from frisco) so give it a try.

UPDATE: Rescheduled delivery: The delivery guys, 2 lifting the refrigerator with one of those belts that goes under the fridge, and one supervisor, showed up on-time. There was a moving truck blocking my driveway, so I wondered if that would be a problem; before my question was answered, the refrigerator was already on it's way up to my third-floor apartment. I don't think the three of them were here more than 15 minutes, and in that time, the new fridge came up, the water line was hooked up to the ice maker and the old fridge disappeared.

A+ on the delivery experience, definitely worth the price and convenience, as it's not included in outlet purchases. Highly recommended, courteous delivery people who know what they're doing and get it done fast and right the first time.

Whoa. I had no idea this place existed. It is a giant warehouse full of brought-back specials, or dented gems, or some other flukes in the retail major appliance retail system.

If you don't give a shit if your dryer has a scratch on the top (and you don't) go here and save 35% or more.

Remember: washers and dryers are very fancy these days with lots of bells and whistles. The only important thing is that your clothes don't smell like mold when they are done being washed and dried.

    WARNING!
Remember to tell the delivery people if your newly purchased washer or dryer is stackable. If you do not, and are having a stackable item delivered, the delivery people will not arrive with the proper brackets, and you will be sent into a rage. Be extremely explicit about what items you need the delivery people to arrive with: tubing, electric cords, etc. They don't seem to ask the right questions and you have to cover all your bases, even if it doesn't seem likely that they would arrive without the necessary items. Also, delivery charges seem to be about $65 + $5 + whatever parts they use.

whoa...Imagine a sea of refrigerators, washers, dryers, microwaves, dishwashers, tv..etc in a big warehouse. We bought a 2005 Kenmore side by side (two door) refrigerator for $799. Saving a whopping 60% on the retail price.  The door had a slight scratch on it.

Sears outlet is a great place to buy home appliances at a low , low price. The secret to getting a really good deal is to buy items that have been slightly scratched or dinged. They often have sales where the prices are slashed even further. Fourth of July weekend is usually a good time to find great deals there.

We bought our first refrigerator from here 10 years ago. It died yesterday. We raced out to the outlet again and purchased a new one. If you open up a sears card you get 6months free financing on your purchases that day.

After I get married an move out, I'll definately come back here and buy stuff for my new place. Its cheap and I recommend it for couples who are just starting out and have little money to buy large ticket items like washers, dryers, and fridges.

Can't really expect much since it is the outlet.

Tons of appliances, most of them are dented or scratched but that doesn't really bother me since most of them were minor or could be hidden when installed.

I had an SA that helped me with everything and sure enough I was able to find what I wanted. I came in thinking of buying all brand new appliances for my kitchen but I just bought a fridge at this time.

I found one that I liked and there were several of them in the showroom so I was able to pick the one I wanted. It was a french door styled fridge which I was looking for and I chose the one I wanted, of course the one with the least amount of noticeable damage, just a small dent on the bottom left but it'd be covered when I install it.

Everything went smoothly, they even helped us put it on our truck and let us know not to plug it in for 24 hours since it was laying on its side.

24 hours later and the fridge was up and running. No problems.

Recommended for people on a budget and cosmetic imperfections are not a big issue.

Did someone actually give one star because they saved $600 on a $1,000 appliance but the matching one was full retail price? Are you kidding me. You save $600 and you give one star? Give me a break. I would give this place four stars but I'll give it five just to offset a stupid review here...

This place is a serious gem but remember that it's a freaking warehouse in the East Bay. If you want "white glove" service, go try to buy your appliances at Neiman Marcus. If you think it's cool to save 60% on a new, high-end washing machine, go here.

Disclaimer: it's hit or miss, like all scratch-and-dent clearance sales. Will they have the exact fridge that you want in lime green? Probably not, but they might... When I visited, they had about a million washers, dryers, and fridges. They only had about 3 dishwashers, 10 stoves, and 5 televisions. I'm sure the inventory mix changes over time, but that was my experience.

We bought and had delivered a Jenn Air refrigerator for $1800. The Sears sticker said the original price was $2700. It's got a little dent on the side, which faces our wall anyway. I'd recommend checking out this outlet if you're looking for any kind of appliance. There are just rows and rows and rows of fridges, washers, hoods, wall ovens - you name it.

They have a flat rate delivery (it was around $80 dollars).  I had no trouble scheduling the delivery and the delivery men were on time and literally carried the refrigerator through the kitchen to avoid scratching our new floors. I had been to the Sears store in Oakland the day before and found that the outlet had more brands than the store itself (Bosch, Fisher Paykel, Electrolux Icon for example). I think because the outlet gets online returns.

They get their shipments over the weekend and unload them Monday- Tuesday. The worst time to go is Friday because everything has already been picked over.

I agree with some of the other posts that the customer service was not at all that great. They just want to know which one you want, and they expect that you've already done your research.

They're open till nine everyday except Sunday.

We bought a treadmill from them. The delivery guy noticed it was missing a key, so it doesn't work without that. Also no manual. He got on the phone and got to the Parts department that was going to order both items. I got a call a few days later that I have to order parts from NordicTrack. Wrong. Sears hadn't given me the part, so why call NordicTrack? Two days ago I called a customer service rep who contacted a manager at this store who promised to overnight deliver the key and she sent me a PDF of the manual. No key has arrived. I called another customer service rep after waiting on hold 20 minutes. He had me on hold 20 minutes more while he was on hold trying to reach the manager of the San Leandro store. He gave up and refused to follow up for me. He gave me the phone number that's also listed here for the store. No one answers that phone. I guess Sears can't afford to hire enough people to keep up with their business and would rather leave customers hanging. If you're dealing with them, it better be in the off season. Otherwise good luck!

I've bout a few appliances from them, but they are receiving this review b/c of my experience with my refrigerator purchase. I bought the refrigerator from them in September during their Red Tag Sale. I got a deal on the model, which is french door style with the freezer on the bottom. Any who, the ice maker went out a month later. Called customer service, they were very responsive and sent a tech out. The tech kept us informed of his arrival, mitigating the 4 hour response syndrome (who has time to wait around from 8-12 on a Saturday). He came out first to diagnose and order the part, and then a week later to install. When his fix didn't work, we went back to the SL location, and they easily told us they would be sending a brand new replacement! That was a Wednesday and by Saturday we had a new frig at home.

I will definitely by all of my appliances here going forward.

Most of the kids from school or college are working here. And they are learning the good salesmanship. I found the right fridge and at the right price. Sears had the fridge for 1999 and I got it for 979.  + 329 for 3 year warranty.  And it has minor scratches on the back.

I purchased the 5 year warranty for $550 and they took off $488 on the fridge which brought the fridge price down to $1140. I was ready to pay $2500 at Airport Appliance. I am soooooo glad I didn't. There is only a little scratch on the top front but a magnet or my time will cover it so....I got a great deal. Delivery was a day later and now my new fridge has found its place in my house. I will most definetly go back again when I need appliances. Delivery was quick and they took my old fridge away with them....check out Sears Outlet....

We bought a 4 yr. old refrigerator on Craigslist for our new house in Redwood City and 30 days later the compressor died.  Very sad.  We wanted a new fridge but didn't want to spend th big bucks as we had already wasted some to begin with.

We found the Sears Outlet. This is the place for refrigerators and washer and dryers. They have TVs, ovens and mattresses but the largest inventories are fridges and w/ds.

We found a brand new Amana with one minor scratch that is covered up by the handle.  We paid $300 less than the sale price and $600 off the full list price.  $75 delivery and $10 to take away the old one.

The delivery guys gave me a window of 9:30-11:30 and they arrived at 9:32 am!  They were friendly and were gone in 15 minutes.

We couldn't be happier with the selection or the delivery service.  Let's just hope that we don't blow another compressor.  Otherwise we will be living out of a cooler.

This is a great place for appliances at a super deal -- 50% off or more.   We have rentals so we rely on Sears Outlet for our appliances.    We get the appliances but not the service package with is a bit pricey.   Before going to the outlet, I would suggest checking the Internet first.    If you don't find what you want, then check the Internet again in a week or so.  Delivery is super cheap, $69 plus $10 for each additional item.   Yah, there are occasional dents, but once you push the fridge or oven into its place, who cares about a side dent.   We have occasional seen dings in the front, but they are minor that can be hidden with appliance paint.

Service was great for my visit this month.   The (new??) sales manager Jon was very accommodating.   One sales associate, Mariet (sp??) was super nice.  I have to give them a full 5 stars for service.

I got a great deal on a professional gas range for 40% off retail.  There was nothing wrong with it other than a tiny scratch on the side.  When you come here, come her for the deals.  Don't expect to get great service because you won't.  I would stay away from the stainless steal fridges because they are all jacked up with huge noticeable dents.  They have plenty of standard 30" rental quality fridges for no more than $400 bucks.

    Cheap thrills!

This is a great place to buy appliances.

BUT like anything else you need to do your HOMEWORK before going to the store. Know what you want, use the Internet to research, what the true retail price is, and what you're willing to accept for dings.  Just about everything comes with a product warranty but be prepared to contact manufactures for missing parts or to purchase them locally.  If you don't know what you're doing you might be better served with the retail store.

Don't complain about the outlet because you were stupid and failed to have some idea as to what you wanted before going to the store.  The Sears Outlet Store is a fun place to shop for bargains.

Apparently this is the main outlet store and they send the goods to the other Sears outlets in the area.  So they have a pretty big collection of home appliances. A good place to check out if you are looking for a fridge, washer/dryer etc. Service is so-so, you have to go looking for help which is not very proactive.

We just bought a Samsung washer/dryer here, and got 5% off with a Sears credit card, ordered delivery, and were feeling pretty good walking out the door with two new appliances for $1004.  Then I was reading the reviews online and saw the same exact models, brand new, for sale at Best Buy for just about the same price, $449 compared to $419.  BRAND NEW.  All in all we saved about $50.  I wouldn't call that a large amount of savings for getting less than brand new appliances.

The sales people are good, they work on commission and ours was really pushing the sears 3 yr. warranty which would've tacked on another $250.  Best Buy's warranty would have been only $100, for 2 yrs so that's another reason Sears Outlet might not be the best choice.  Glad we didn't go for the warranty.  Both delivery charges were the same at $70, but Best Buy recycles your old appliances for free, Sears charged $10 per appliance.

Case in point: shop around at other places and compare all variables.  Don't think just because it says 50% off, that you're getting the best deal that you can't find anywhere else.

the appliances are back -- and the place looked organized & well-stocked.  I'll stop telling people not to go here if they're looking for appliances!  This should be one of the places you check when you're on a refrigerator hunt.

I wanted to write because I read a lot of the reviews here before buying appliances for my new house - a washer, dryer, fridge, and stove.

I had a bad experience buying our washer and dryer there, but things went well with the stove and the fridge.

    The Good

The prices are very good, and this of course is the main, if not only, reason you'd put up with everything else (see below).

I was also very impressed with the delivery service, which I opted to use since I was buying so many things at once, and only cost $75.  Our place is set up with a closet style laundry area, so we had to buy stackables, and the delivery guys literally performed some acrobatics to crawl up over and behind the machines to hook everything up. A review on here mentioned that the delivery guys didn't have hoses or adapters, and that was not the case with us.  They had everything.

    The Bad

    1) Customer Service

As everyone mentions, there is no customer service.  You may find yourself having to wait in line just to have someone take your order.  I recommend making a couple trips when shopping.  First go around with a note pad and write down model numbers and see what they have - then go home and do your research online.  Come back later and make a buying decision armed with information.

    2) Don't buy a washer or dryer

Our washer did not work when we hooked it up and plugged it in, even though everyone at the store assured me it had been tested.  If you check out the store, you'll notice they have almost no washers, and tons and tons of dryers.  Be very careful about buying a washer there.  When I went back and looked more carefully at the few washers they had, they seemed to have serious, not just cosmetic problems, like giant dings.  Many of them have a horrendous mildew smell from water that's been sitting for a long time, which you'll only notice if you open them.

We're also not so thrilled with our dryer.  It takes a very long time to dry things, for the money we spent.   However, we didn't realize this until after the 15 day return policy was over, and for us, we're inclined to hang up our towels and heavier items to save energy anyway, so it's not such a big deal.

My sense is that people will often return kitchen appliances for minor cosmetic reasons, but that most folks won't return a washer or dryer unless something is seriously wrong.  Your mileage may vary, but I wouldn't buy a washer or dryer from them.  I wish I had bought from Home Depot, which has been running quite a sale on new appliances that would have cost about as much as what we spent.

    3) Brenda

So, they did replace our washer, but you have to go through hell to wait in line for an hour or two to arrange all this, and you have to deal with Brenda, the manager.  Somebody on here mentioned how much they like Brenda, and they must be smoking crack.  Brenda is a very moody and lazy person who you have to go track down and emotionally babysit to complete any transaction in the store.

The only time she was nice to me was when she tried to sell me a warranty, and it was like she flipped a switch from "annoying b$#$" to "suddenly being my best friend".  I'm actually the kind of person who is inclined to buy warranties, and I didn't buy one only because I couldn't believe how fake and horrible she is.  She kept on telling me over and over about how she "spent 20 years in property management", as if this were some magic incantation that would overcome the strong gut feeling of mistrust and aversion I felt from the moment I saw her.  The image that comes to mind as she speaks of her property management experience is of her sitting on the couch from the show "Married with Children", chain smoking cigarettes that mask the scent of non-neutered cat urine, as she manages a trailer park to supplement her government assistance.

    4) Minor note on delivery service

While I generally have good things to say about the delivery service, I do have to say that our fridge showed up with ding on it that was not there when we bought it.  I was pretty anal about going over the frigge with fine tooth comb.  You'll notice when you're there that most of the fridges have a scratch on the upper left front corner.  I wondered about that, and specifically picked one out that did not have this scratch, but when it arrived, it had a scratch.  I pointed it out the delivery guys, and they tried to put it on me that I must have missed it in the store, and at that point, I just let it go.  I bought a Kenmore fridge, and I found that they sell touch up enamel, which I'll get around to buying sometime after we're moved in.

However, it had me wonder about all these scratches in the same place, and I have a theory that these scratches are the result of the way they move the fridges around.   I'm wondering if maybe they strap something there?  So, if I were to do it all over, I might go ahead and pick up the fridge myself, to avoid that scratch

this place is awesome. excellent deals on all big appliances. really nice people working there with excellent customer service. this is the place to go to buy appliances. forget paying full retail price. i'll gladly take a huge discount for a small scratch or ding or for an item that is not in the box... and they will take away your old appliances when they deliver!

We bought our washer and dryer here. The service was good and very patient with us. The price was great, too. However, Sears does not deliver from the outlet. They hire contractors, and this is where it gets really difficult. The installers came to our place and first they didn't bring the right hoses for the dryer (even though we specifically mentioned it when we purchased the appliances) and as soon as they realized that, they couldn't get out of our place fast enough. They installed the washer, pushed the button and said "everything is fine." We hadn't lived at our new place yet, so 30 hours later, it turned out that by just pushing the button, you can't say everything is fine, because our apartment and the unit below us was flooded.
This happened 5 month ago, and Sears insurance is less than helpful and has no interest in coming up with the payment for the repairs.
All in all, if things go well with the installation, Sears Outlet is a great place to go. But in case something happens, be ready to not get any service at all!

You get what you pay for.  There are lots of good deals here.  However, if you expect service or you have a custom situation in your house, steer clear and go to say Galvin Appliances (Albany).  This Sears outlet offers delivery, but it was a challenge to work with these guys schedule-wise.

We went there shopping for a washer and dryer.  Here's what we found.  They price the washer (or dryer) - one of the set - really really low.  Like say $400 for a $1000 washer - it has some defect, like scratches or a ding and for $400, that's fine. You get excited thinking the matching piece will be the same price and that you'll get these high end appliances for under $1000.  And then when you find the matching piece, it's priced at regular retail prices.   And the lower end pieces were no deal at all.  Pretty much same price as retail but with scratches and dings.

The worst thing though is the surly staff! We happened to go half hour before closing, and one employee first said to us "we're closing in a half hour folks" and then when we said we know, he proceeded to have a loud conversation with another employee about how people shouldn't shop right before closing time.

We ended up buying off Craigslist - got a great gently used w/d for $200.  Yay for Craigslist!

I bought a front loading Maytag clothes washer.  I had to search for an employee to help me. Once I found her I had to listen to her go on a 15 minute tirade about how much she hated her job and the people she works. I learned that her co-workers are lazy and drink and smoke dope on the job.  Needless to say as much as this was useful information should I need to score, I need clean clothes as well.  So $815 dollars later w/a promise that it would be delivered in two days I left.
Several phone calls later led to yet another promise that my clothes washer could be delivered in a few more days. WOW That'd be great but I have a job, where I can't just leave whenever Sears decides they can swing by. "Oh really?" says they customer service rep says," you don't think your supervisor will let you off so we can delivers it? " Ummm NO I do not.  I think my supervisor will wonder why I wasn't more responsible in making sure that washer I bought was delivered on my day off.  OH wait!  That's exactly what I did but Sears screwed it up, TWICE.  Ultimately it was such a fiasco I had them credit my card back and they did.  No offer of how they could keep my business.  Just an apology and 10 minutes later my card was credited.  Oh, they delivered my now unpaid for washer two days later.   Great service! Really.

Function over form.  If you need appliances, here is the place.  We needed a fridge.  Walked in, went to the stainless steel upper freezer row and found a $2000 one for $1200.  We'll be coming back when our old dryer and dishwasher die.

Want to add my 2-cents about this place.  We bought our refrigerator there a few years ago.  A couple of little scratches on the outside but everything was still packed new on the inside. I forget exactly what we saved but it was enough to make a real impression. Next we bought a standing freezer at a great discount, too.
This is a huge sea of appliances in a warehouse and the staff are mostly cashiers.  It is up to you to do the research and the walking and checking once there.  It takes time to get your bearings, then more for the search, but it is definitely worth it.
We turned my son and daughter-in-law on to this place and they just bought a large high-quality stainless French Door refrigerator, inside still packed from the factory, all the pieces, papers, etc. still inside, at a little over half of what it would cost regular retail. There were a few little scratches that you don't really notice at all.  Stainless is pretty forgiving unless there is a huge blemish.
We didn't have it delivered because we feared no one would be as careful as we would be, but it sounds as if folks are having good luck with that service.
Some units look as if dropped from a three-story building, then dragged behind the truck to the store, but others have a flaw so inconsequential you have to look hard to find the reason it is there.  Be sure to check the condition of the working parts as much as possible.  Bottom line is patience and determination will definitely pay off.  Check it out when it's time for a new appliance.

Deal wise it can't be beat!  We were looking for a frig and probably would have spent $1400 on the sucker and got it half off here.  They carry more of the smaller models for us folks with old homes and tight spaces.  We wanted a bottom freezer type frig and found it.  Just don't expect great customer service, think of it as Costco...with a real warehouse.  So look online to see what you want and print the stuff to take with you.  You will be happy as long as you don't expect perfection as there are sometimes cosmetic scratches and dents.

Separately, I would give 5 stars for the delivery service.  I figured I would be waiting for a couple hours sitting on my ass.  But they came right on time if not a little early.  The delivery guy I met was exceptional, I wish I got his name.  He was conscientious about cleaning the walls and floor before moving in the new frig.  He was friendly and nice, and actually cared about doing a good job.  He made me feel like what the old Sears and Roebuck was all about when they started.

Never ever purchase an appliance or warranty from Sears or an Outlet Store. I purchased a lemon dishwasher from an outlet store plus the added warranty and when it broke, 9 appointments were scheduled and two were no shows by the technician. Finally, they agreed to give me a credit to replace it. As expected, they "no showed" on the installation date for the replacement. Their customer service department is awful. Trying to invoke the Lemon Law or reach someone who cares is impossible. There is no escalation process. You just get the run-a-round!  While this was going on, I purchased a $200 service agreement for a clothes washer. This was even worse!!! The guy who came to evaluate the problem, told us that the machine did not meet the criteria for the service agreement and charged an additional $219.42 for the repair. While he was on site during the three minutes it took him to troubleshoot the problem, he damaged the clothes washer, ordered the wrong part and caused a leak which damaged the floor. We immediately canceled the repair for the clothes washer and for over 2 months we have been trying to get our $219.42 credited. One of the customer service representatives "MaryJo" said she understood the situation, agreed to send my request to their dispute department and told me she wanted to give me a $50 gift certificate for my trouble. I received the $50 gift certificate and didn't get the $219.42 refund. When I called a month later to find out the status of the $219.42 refund, they told me that I was compensated with a $50 gift certificate. Sears is a rip-off and no one should ever buy a Sears appliance or their service agreement. Their customer service desk is horrible. This is a company that contracts out their service without any accountability and their customer service desk is useless!!!  NEVER EVER PURCHASE A SEARS APPLIANCE!! After this awful situation I went on line to vent and found a web site that says it all. Before you consider a Sears product go to  http://ihatesears.com/ and see for your self what others are saying.

I just want to put up a great review of the Sears Outlet store in san Leandro, where we just puchased a very nice and good valued refridgerator.  The reason I have even bothered to take the time to write this is for one reason only, and that is the excellent sales representative there who is named Joy.  Joy is the best sales rep any company could hope for, she helped us locate exactly what we wanted, got all kinds of attachements for it, and gave us major TLC the entire visit.  Joy is the greatest, if you go here to shop, make sure you find Joy and your experience will be much better.  Joy is wonderful, I hope her employer realizes what a great sales rep she is.

Went there to checkout what was available and pricing and was greeted by a huge warehouse space full of appliances, bbq grilles, tool cabinets, flat screen tvs, clothing, shoes, etc. A large selection of Land's End clothing for both men and women at prices less than half off and when on the sale rack at over 75& off and more. Wife bought several Land's End blouses over 75% off and I purchased some Lands End t-shirts for $2.50 each on sale regularly priced at $20.00. Staff was courteous and helpful.

So far I've purchased my refrigerator, my above range microwave, my washer and my dryer from the Sears Outlet, and a refrigerator for a rental unit I help manage. The employees can be a bit unprofessional (but nice), but you can get some serious deals. Keep your eyes peeled for the red tag sales. They are additional % off of the outlet price. I got an Armana refrigerator (regular $1200), outlet price $800, red tag price $290. Now I have never seen a deal this good again, but at least I know it is possible. I got a bosch above range microwave for $250 (an impulse buy), but when I got home and saw I could turn around and sell the same microwave for $400 on ebay, I patted myself on the back for finding a good deal. To find a great deal, come check on the prices on a few different days. Also, find out the day they restock the floor (I used to know, but I can't remember anymore - it makes a difference on how much merchandise is actually on the floor). There are some yellow flyers at the front of the store advertising a delivery service. I used it and the guy is very nice and it's a pretty good deal.
