Sears, I won't even give you a chance when your parking lot looks like this...
The only reason I walk through Sears is because it's a shortcut to get to the mall parking lot when it's cold so I don't have to walk far outside. Sears, just give up, you should already be out of business. The only thing I would possibly considering buying is any Craftsman products. However, Sears if you are not going to maintain your parking lot. I won't give you my business. The parking lot is full of so many potholes that I'm closer to holding Sears responsible for reimbursing me for the cost of the alignment I had to get for my car. It was a shame that this sears had to close. I came here black Friday time before the store closed. Alot of people definitely took interest since they were the only place that had decent sales. Orland Mall plans to make it a movie theater in the near future.

Sears has a ridiculous return policy of 30 days. So if you want to take advantage of a special sale and buy a gift for someone in advance of their birthday Christmas or whatever occasion, they will not be able to return after 30 days. No wonder Sears is struggling. I will never shop there again! Do not shop Black Friday there for someone for Christmas because they will not be able to return after Dec 23rd even though they will not open their gift till Dec 25th!

After sale service HORRIBLE ! Bought a $2,000 refrigerator and it lost the refrigeration in fridge & freezer. Paid a tech to come out to tell me the sealed refrigerant was out but have Sears fix it because it would be under warranty. Called Sears and they want to charge me for another tech ($89.95) to come tell me the same thing. Nobody can make it out for A WEEK ! At that point he will look at the problem and THEN order the part. They can't tell me how long it would take after that. I told them what was wrong but they said they can only rely on their tech. When I said there was a fridge and freezer full of food they said. "sorry about that, nothing we can do". Also, it couldn't hurt to talk to a service department that has people that speak English. My guess is that I was routed to another country. I will NEVER EVER walk into another Sears store as long as I live.

We came to the Orland Sears on Friday to purchase a washer & dryer. The employee Guy was helping us & seemed knowledgeable so we ordered our washer/dryer to be delivered Monday. The delivery guys come tell me they can't install my washer because a shut off valve is corroded--I'm a bit irritated, but I understand they can't take the chance of ruining our plumbing. They zip tie the hoses off & bring the new washer/haul away our old. The don't even put the drain hose in the sink/attach it or plug the machine into the outlet, yet I had to pay for the parts & "install" for the washer. When they leave they have the dryer on a test run so it isn't until they're gone I realize the door dryer door is opening from the wrong side. I call them to ask them to come back (thinking they would come fix it because I tipped them $20, & they were only down the street at this point). They tell me they don't do that--it's done at the factory or a tech has to come out to fix it so I have to call the store. Call the store & it takes FOREVER to get anyone on the line!! Called Guy's extension & the main number for large appliances. Finally get through---they have to have the manager call me back. He calls back a few hours later & tells me the tech guys will call me after their run & can stop by that evening. I NEVER receive a call from the tech guys no one shows. I call the next morning again I have to call 20 times before I get through. Get some manager from another dept he tells me he'll have the large appliances manager call me back or he will when he figures out what's going on. Never got a call back. Call this morning 10 times since they've opened and no one is picking up. I am BEYOND frustrated and disgusted with the customer service here. 3 days and I haven't gotten anywhere. I will NEVER buy another appliance from this store again.
**UPDATE** called customer service (877) 878-3687 & they're even worse than the store. Rep ROCKY tells me they can't guarantee an evening tech to come out to fix the door on the dryer & I'll get an automated call tonight around 6 with my 2 hour window they will be coming Thursday. Awesome... because it's not like I have to work.. I can call off AGAIN to be there at a time that's convenient for them. I tell them I want a refund on the washer parts/install because I did it myself, & he tries to give me a 10% off my next purchase coupon!! NO! I will not be buying from this store ever again I want my money. Says he can refund me $20... then says their systems are down I'll have to call back in an hour to process the refund. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I've wasted so much time already dealing with them/calling. They should call YOU when their systems are back up or process it once they are not make you call back again. Worst customer service I've ever had to deal with. When I asked to speak to a supervisor or someone else he refused to transfer me. Said he was a supervisor. This rating is for the Orland Park location. I used to shop here sometimes. I was just there 2 days ago and OMG there is barely anything decent at all! I found a really cute maxi dress there 2 yrs ago and thought I'd see if they had anything cute again. It was in their petite section (I am 5"2). I wear most normal sized clothing but maxis def need petite. There was barely anything there at all and nothing slightly cute at all. Nothing cute in Petites or regular sections! I skimmed through their shoe selection and blah. This store is really going downhill. It wasn't a fav before but I'd find some cute things and last yr bought about 4 more petite maxis at the Woodfield Sears. Whoever manages what clothes to put in their store def picks the wrong stuff. Since Kmart bought them forget about it!!!!

NEVER PURCHASE A BED/MATTRESS FROM SEARS! Terrible customer service! Over 2 weeks ago I purchased a queen sized bed set from the Orland Park Sears for my daughter, who was relocating. On the appointed day, the delivery men showed up with JUST the mattress and bed frame, no box spring. Their excuse - "A manufacturing delay - we will deliver it next week". My phone call to the Orland Park Sears Mattress Department was a waste of time - - I was told, "We have nothing to do with that" (?) Apparently after they get your money they wash their hands of you! Today (a week later) they called my daughter at the delivery time that it will be delayed yet another week!!!! This has been a horrible experience, I will NEVER shop at Sears again!

If I could leave zero stars I would! Do not purchase from the mattress shop!!!! I purchased an extra firm mattress and haven't even had it a week before it started to sag in the middle. Today, on the 9th day of sleeping on this mattress I called Sears to see my options and was told I would be responsible for a $140 dollar fee to return it and I also have to sleep on this uncomfortable mattress for 30 days. I purchased this extra firm mattress because I have severe lower back issues....It's absolutely absurd that I would be asked to sleep on this bed for another 21 days and additionally charged a pick up and restocking for Sears to take back a defective product! I will never do business at any Sears again.

The store was neat and orderly and has a idea selection of clothes. They may not be the most stylish but I am not trying to be.
