History
Established in 2009
The predecessor of Search Engine Marketing Chicago, Inc. was Blink Technology Corp. Gary Sigman founded Blink in 1995 to design and build the first website for the Chicago Board of Trade. Shortly after Blink created the first e-commerce site for the Bradford Exchange as a proof of concept. It's success led to Blink's work on the full-scale upgrade to CollectiblesToday.com and the initial marketing efforts that were involved. The focus of the business had changed over the years and sem[c] was opened for business in 2009.
Meet the Business Owner: Gary S.
I am passionate about technology. The promise of technology and the utility of technology has fascinated me since I built my first stereo amplifier from a kit when I was twelve. Was I the "boy scientist"? Maybe, but no wonder that I was drawn to, and mastered, the technology of photography as an art form and discovered the computer as an adjunct to art and, therefore, communication.
We are living in an incredibly dynamic time and a challenging time. Entire businesses are dying and being born with a frequency that is unprecedented in history. Technology, as in the Internet and search engines, offers us the tools to make sense and make money out of these changes. And we can even have fun amidst the booms and crashes.
