So far, I have been really pleased with SSC. It is easy to get to. Easy to get to my storage locker and the facility is always clean.
Staff is helpful and attentive if I have any questions or concerns.
Also, they will call you if you are past due on a payment to remind you to pay! -

Friendly folks, clean and secure facilities, but not great follow-through.
When I left, I didn't give 30 days' notice (because we just found a home to move into and wanted to move our stuff right away), so they charged me for the rest of the month. I was fine with that.
The problem was that they didn't stop charging my credit card when I moved out. And when I called to speak to them about it, Justin (manager) assured me it would be taken care of.
I was a bit surprised when I saw the charge on my credit-card bill the next month. I called and left a message for Justin to call me back, which he didn't do. When I followed up, he was again very agreeable and assured me that the fix had been made and that a check for the incorrectly charged amount would be coming soon, but he never apologized, and if I hadn't followed up multiple times I'm not sure how swiftly the problem would have been addressed.
I would probably use Seaport again, but only if I couldn't find something else. Three stars seems about right (4 for facilities, 2 for customer service). -

Seaport storage is a very nice facility. Easy to access, clean and nice.
My problem is with their pricing tactics- I feel like I got scammed. If you are very careful about your finances you may be safe from their practices, but I set up autopay on my storage unit assuming everything would be taken care of. The review before me says they are nice enough to give you a call when you are late on payments- they are not nice enough to give you a call when they decide to increase your storage rent by 53% per month (and ~30% greater than current listed price). Instead there was a notice sent via US Postal.
They were within the bounds of their contract, but not an example of customer service. Had the rent increase been less dramatic, I had received a call, or had it been in-line with current pricing in the rest of the storage center, I would not have a problem with it. I'm guessing the autopay combined with the fact that I did not access the storage unit for about a year made me a perfect candidate for this maneuver. -

Absolutely the best place to store your stuff! The facility is new , very high tech, great security, spotless, well lit, easy access in and out, huge elevators and the very nicest people I've ever come across. From the newest staff member -to the manager - to the owner - they are always ready to answer questions, help you out and make your move / transition easy. In addition to the climate controlled units on one floor they lend you their truck and provide water and gator-aid!
They have some great deals that aren't always published, so go check them out and see the best kept storage secret in the area. -

Finally, you can concentrate on the moving rather than the grimace of the face serving you up the space or the rental truck.
Seaport Storage distinguishes itself with amenities (newer facility) and their positive attitude. Heck, even the bathroom stays clean.
I've rented for a year and have also run some deliveries for the Reclaim home store from a unit there. Anytime I'm there Justin and Thomas are thinking on their feet. The team at Seaport proactively thinks about serving customers better. They also seriously consider the requests you might make and reflect a 'can-do' spirit that simply shocks people who have dealt with the self-storage industry regularly.
With wifi, stocked mini-fridge, hot tea bags, toxic product recycling collection, and Fedex center mean this place can truly feel like a home away from home. Or at least your refuge from Hwy 101 traffic. Their living room has comfy seating and the conference room is adequate for a few hours of work if need be. Even a conferencing phone to use, but the last time I was there it seemed unplug. Don't worry, no need to be shy here. Ask, and you may very well receive.
While there, stretch your legs by taking a walk out the nearby path along the water toward the marinas. In my opinion, this is also the smoothest inline skate path in the area. 360 views here across the salt flats toward East Bay hills. The sunset looking toward the mountains and SF may become the respite you need before getting that delivery on down the highway. -

I have nothing but praises for Seaport Storage Center. If I have to store my stuff again in the Bay Area, I will return to them with no hesitation.
Justin (the General Manager) has been incredibly helpful in assisting my cross-country move from Maryland to California. Because I will be driving my car across and hence need to ship my personal effects over before actually arriving myself, Seaport Storage Center is the only place out of the several storage places I have called up that is willing to help out with my unique situation - They agreed to receive my Fed-Ex shipment of boxes of personal effects at their storage center AND carry them up to my storage unit and locked them in. All this happen while I am still on my last few days in Maryland. When I arrrived in the storage center weeks later, I am pleased to find out all boxes are stored in an incredibly secured and clean area. I also just recently retrieved all of the boxes and bring them back to my own home. -

I ran across this place as I was about to check out the affordable storage place just down the street from them. But after checking the place out and discussing a discounted price with the manager of Seaport I decided it was best to go with Seaport.
The facility is AMAZING and I feel confident with their new-age security system. The only trouble I had was with some management issues. I signed up for automatic billing but there were a few issues that went along with that (not getting charged my appropriate discounted price for one). I had a little trouble getting a hold of the manager to talk about different issues regarding the "automatic billing" and over time he was able to square everything out. They are pretty new so I think they are just working out some management/billing system quirks. My only advice is do NOT sign up with automatic billing. Everything else is GREAT.
The security system:
-You have to enter your code to get into a gated area to move your stuff in and out.
-They have a fingerprinting system to get into the actual building.
- You have to enter your code to use the elevator.
- It seems very secure and because it's so new it is very clean. -

What a fantastic local storage center! My experience thus far has been top notch and quite seamless given our logistically tricky move. Justin, the manager, made our arrangements thoroughly, quickly and hassle free- which I was very thankful for, as everything else with the actual move seemed to have last minute problems cropping up. And Justin had answers for my moving problems even though they were unrelated to storage! There is a trust element involved in these sort of ventures of course, and I felt that I was being wholly cared for. With very reasonable prices, an easily navigable space with large hallways, clean (brand new) storage spaces, pallet jacks and flatbeds available, extensive office hours, this storage center is for you.

I can't say make enough positive comments about this company and their wonderful manager, Justin! My daughter needed to move out of her dorm at Stanford and had a cast on her leg. It was not possible for me to be there since we live on the east coast. Justin's follow through was above and beyond, he even called me to follow up and let me know things were complete.
Superb facility and extraordinary customer service, very competitive pricing as well! -

The staff (Justin and Thomas) are very accommodating and professional. They are an absolute pleasure to work with. The facility is clean and the prices are very reasonable for the area. Check them out before you call anyone else. You'll be glad you did!

I moved up to the Bay area from LA 3 months ago and was worried about finding a place to store my Airstream Travel trailer. I looked up RV storage in the area and also checked out Craigslist listings and Seaport Storage's name popped up every time. I read the reviews on here and decided to check it out. I was extremely impressed by the personnel there's politeness and friendliness. They were super efficient and within no time at all , I had a great safe storage spot for my baby Airstream. They cost me only $5 more than what I had been paying in Long Beach CA so I believe I'm getting a really good deal. Plus, their access hours are better than most places , they have security camera's and electric gates as well as a wash rack where one can wash ones RV or boat/ car etc. Whenever I go in there to pay the months rent, the guys are Super friendly and even remember my name. Thats impressive and says alot about them as a business. I will keep my storage with them as long as I live in an area nearby . One downside which they could work on would be to have a dump station installed for us RV and boat owners. That would also give them a further competative edge. Great job guys. Keep it up!

We used them for a couple of years and they'll be my first choice when I need storage again. Convenient to 101 and Woodside Rd., very clean safe and well maintained facility, extremely friendly, helpful people. I had climate and humidity sensitive historic records and tapes; all emerged in super condition.

I'm very pleased with Seaport Storage. They gave me a great rate and friendly service. The units I viewed were clean, the halls are well-lit (although there is no lighting within the units), and security is extensive. The only drawback I encountered was limited space for vehicles in the unloading area (although I believe there are two unloading areas for the indoor units).

I own a moving company here in the Bay Area (Fog City Piano & Furniture Movers) and I just got done moving one of our clients belongings to The Seaport Storage Center. I deal with a lot of storage facilities in my line of business and this is the best one that i have ran across so far. The staff was very pleasant, more than accommodating and even offered our workers bottled water. On top of that the building was state of the art and very nice. I am going to recommend this facility to all of my customers.
