I highly recommend Seafari Springs for anyone out in the western or northwestern suburbs who want an above-average Park District pool experience without the crowds or cost of many of the other local water parks.

Seafari Springs is one of the newer community pools in this area, and it is very well maintained and clean.  It has the requisite zero-depth pool area and children's splash area, as well 3 large slides (including 2 tube slides), a sand play area, drop slide, and diving board.  The landscaping is beautiful.

The staff is very well trained here; they have won several awards of excellence from Ellis and Associates, the world's leading water safety organization.

I live in district so I use this water park with the kids to save $.  It is well maintained.    They have a snack counter which is hidden from view so the kids do not bother you too much for treats.  

They have adult swim times during open swim.  You might enjoy this service if you are single or have older children.  If you are coming with small kids or infants and want to go in the pool during Adult Swim, you have to sit out with the kiddos.  

Call ahead of time so you do not have to sit and wait too long if you have fussy kids.  Also since they closed the other HP pool, swim meets are held there and they close the pool to the public.  Call ahead too to make sure it is not a meet day.

I would also like the pool to be available later in the evening so people who work till 5:00 could be able to enjoy the pool too.  My husband rarely can go due to the early close time.
