Aaaaahh.... my home away from home!
My wife and I have been to Sea Mountain five or six times, and every time we love it even more!
The staff remembers us, and Dewey is awesome and always gets the vibe just right. I highly recommend going on a weekend, as on weekdays it can be pretty dead. Still totally relaxing, but just not as wild as a Friday or Saturday.
True, the place is expensive considering what you get. A larger, more inclusive resort like Caliente, which provides entertainment, restaurants, multiple pools and tennis courts, volleyball nets, a gym, etc, will actually cost less per night... but Sea Mountain is for adults only, and as such it makes for a lot of fun, especially if you're open-minded.
They've been talking for a long time about putting in a full kitchen, but so far it's still just talk. Meals get ordered from a nearby restaurant, but Palm Springs is close by, so there are lots of great restaurants within driving distance. Actually, one bummer is that parking is outside the front gate, so you actually have to throw your clothes on if you need to grab something from your car.
In all, Sea Mountain is the greatest. The people are super friendly, the vibe is exciting but also relaxing, and once you've spent a day there you'll never want to leave! -

Mrs. KC: But we just bought a house in Palm Desert. Uh ok...
Checking into Sea Mountain during the Goddess Burn weekend was a breeze. Mrs. KC needed some reassurance that nude resorts aren't full of old fat people so we spent an hour or so peeking out the window planning our birthday suit swagger. Sea Mountain doesn't allow people to not hang out. That's right. No clothes allowed!
Being nude is natural for us; it's as if we were born that way. Unfortunately, KC freckles when sun bakes previously unfreckled regions. Not wanting 11 inches of freckled tubesteak, KC slathered on the SPF100 and we were off to the pool.
KC: So whaddaya think?
Mrs. KC: You're pervy. I like it.
KC: Kinda awesome how we get to bring our own cocktails, yea?
Mrs. KC: This is just like any other hotel just more ballsy. It takes courage for some of these dudes to walk around with their tiny weenies. It's 80 degrees out and the pool is warm. What gives? Hey what do you think happens around here at night?
KC: We'll be here. But KC isn't gonna Yelp it.

I love how no one has used their photos for these reviews. Tee hee.
Well I tried this place with my ex a few years ago and maybe I am just not the nudist type or into the loose as a goose running around flopping in the breeze thing, but this place was just way too TMI for our taste. A beautiful place, absolutely, with views that are amazing, but for the hefty price tag and the not so great massage and the spa lunch that basically consisted of a cut up piece of fruit, I think I'd spend the money elsewhere if I had to do it again.
However, if you are looking for a place with everyday looking people putting their parts out there or if you have a hidden desire to be free in the company of speedos or less, then have at it. It just wasn't my thing. -

We didn't get to stay at the resort becuase it was full but we found a nice little hotel nearby. We got there for a saturday night party which was great. We ddin't expect that place to be sooo cool. The party can get really wild! And there are very attractive people, too. Age range, I guess, 25-50.
But we found a few annoying things, too. There is only one bathroom for guests. So it can get crowded at times as well as very dirty when party goes on.
We came back on sunday afternoon for some quiet time. Place was not crowded but every good spot was taken, so we had to go to the back of the property. Not the best place to be. You are totally separated from people, beach sand is dirty and when I found a condom next to my chair it was too much. we left.
Overall the resort is nice. I loved the sat.night party and this is what will make us come back shortly.But this time we will book far ahead to get a room on their property. -

While staying at Terra Cotta Inn a few years back...we met another couple that took us to SM Nude Resort at night. We didn't stay long as the weather was a little bad...but it did look like it could be fun.
We were wondering if they have day use here at Sea Mountain? And if they offered massages like they do at Terra Cotta.
If massages are offered...what type do they offer? I was thinking that a place like this might offer sensual massages? Or would I need to find someone that would enjoy giving my wife a massage?

Okay, what about this place can u not like?
360 days a year of great weather, dj spinnin mashups for the dance floor, with pool and jacuzzi full of naked, hot women who are begging you to do all kinds of naughty things to them.
Add to this the nicely appointed rooms and the cool as hell owner dewey who
runs around squirting chilled tequila in your mouth with a water gun!
I mean, if you cant have fun here, youre near dead!
Rooms aint cheap but it is byob so drink cheap to your hearts content! -

This is the best, most romantic, most fun, sexiest, place in Southern California!
My wife and I LOVE going! It's only a couple of hours from the city. If the rooms are high for your budget, get a night spa, (really an all-day pass, good from about 2:00 pm until whenever you're too tired to go on -though it kind of dies out at about 2:00 or 3:00 am), and get a cheap room at any of the number of motels within walking distance on Palm Avenue. Bring booze! Bring lube! Bring toys! Leave the kids with the sitter!
As illustrated by the yelpers giving less than 5 stars, some people may not know what to expect when they go. This is all-nude resort! They specify that clothing is not optional. While you may cover up (if you're a wimp) with a towel or sarong etc., the idea is that when everyone around you is completely naked, you have no reason to feel like you should hide anything. It's an incredibly liberating and relaxing experience. They help reduce the creepy factor by never allowing any single men on the property. Single women and couples ONLY. There aren't even any single men in the staff.
During the daylight hours, the focus of the resort is on simply relaxing and socializing. Have some great margaritas on the house, do a little dancing, get a great tan, take a dip in the pool or spa, RELAX! The daytime spa also attracts a more mature crowd. That's not to say that all guests in the daytime are of retirement age, but the majority of the younger 20 or 30 something crowd tends to get there after 6:00 (at least that has been our experience). By 10:00 or so, the focus on the "intimate side" of the resort earns it's title! Get ready for the most amazing, kinky, romantic, unbelievable night of your life! Most couples will make their way to the intimate side, and most couples will make love for everyone to watch and enjoy. If you think you were shy about sunbathing nude -imagine making love in front of your new naked friends. I'll be the first to admit that SOUNDS intimidating, but it is the most intimate you will ever be with your partner. It truly is a beautiful thing to be around so much love and lust.
You be around swingers! Definitely. Yes. Definitely.
If you're into that, you can join them; if you are not into that, there is absolutely ZERO pressure to join them. If you want to watch, you are welcome to get closer and watch. If you don't want anything to do with it, you can just hang out around the pool and continue to socialize and you honestly will not notice what is happening 100 feet away. You might want to do our personal favorite thing: you can participate exclusively with your lover, and be physically surrounded by a full-on orgy. If you're a swinger, then, well, I don't have to tell you that you'll have a good time!
Everyone is happy. The owner, Dewey will make it his personal mission to see to it that you are happy. I can't speak for the single women -though I can say that they looked quite satisfied to me, but I can promise every couple out there you will not be disappointed. You will leave refreshed, energized, and emotionally closer to your partner.
You really must make a reservation -I understand that if you just show up you will not be allowed on the property. If have not been before, then tell them when you call -don't be surprised by the atmosphere; let them explain the whole deal to you much better than I could in this review.
I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea. If you're fun-loving, adventurous, and open-minded, then this is most certainly for you! -

This is one of the best Adult Resorts out there. I've been there probably six times now, and every time is just as great. But I think there are some definite ups and downs to it.
Yeahs:
You get to be naked!
Rooms are very nice
Generally everyone is really nice
They care about customer service and really try to provide an excellent atmosphere.
As wild or as mild as you would like it
Desert Hot Springs has some great restaurants
They offer snacks and drinks for free
They have opened a second bathroom for day passers, or if you don't want to go to your room
Not so Yeahs:
It is expensive (compared to most other non nude hotels)
It is a bit of a drive from Palm Springs
Some people show up and are REALLY looking for a good time *wink*
The food they have delivered is pretty pricey for what it is (But then again you don't have to put on your clothes to go get it either)
Last time I was there and they were doing maintenance (which is of course a good thing, but seriously....grouting the pool and painting the walks is a bit annoying when you are on your holiday)
Some people are really surprised when others engage in "adult activities." Come on do your research!
My suggestion is show up, know you are going to have a lovely room and that there will be people from all over. (Most of them enjoying their first time as well) Bring your own booze if you are a drinker (Yes he offers complimentary drinks, but seriously it is annoying to have to listen to people whining about when they will be around with the pitcher again) and know that if you want to make "special" friends that can probably happen, but if you don't want to, you don't have to. Dewey wants you to have fun, there is always music and when it's busy he brings in a DJ. I've seen people in their early 20's and upwards to "quite older." It's just a remarkable place to be. -

My boyfriend and I were at Sea Mountain on May 19, 2007, and we had a great time! Dewey greeted us with a wonderful smile and a delicious margarita . . . the energy at this place is very laid back and relaxed! The music was a great mix . . . a little for everyone. The decor is upscale and beautiful. We got there about noon and the place was lively! We staked out our chairs, got naked, and began the day of sunbathing . . . Dewey would come around with Tequila shots throughout the day, lunch was delicious and good quality . . . we floated in the pool, met some very cool people, and partied into the night with everyone! We also enjoy the VERY adult atmosphere of Sea Mountain . . . ;)
We definitely recommend this as an alternative to hotels where you have to wear a bathing suit poolside . . . . nude sunbathing is so much better . . . and in this wonderful atmosphere, you just can't go wrong!!! We already have reservations again in the next few weeks! -

5 stars for sure! This is my favorite getaway for a romantic tandem massage, girls night out or more. The atmosphere is soothing, they have great music playing (which was a first for a spa. Usually its all really soft sea shore sounds, or awful oldies but this played everything! rock, dance, good oldies, eclectic) I feel so refreshed after wards I try to aim for at least once a month. The Sea Mountain is my favorite all nude spa ever!
