Review from Christina d.
San Diego, CA
I've been doing yoga since college, and only thrice did I ever come across a class that was exactly what I always wanted in a yoga class. One was open only to my college's students, the second was open only to military and their dependents, and the third is here.
The nonprofit SD Yoga Loft stands out for several reasons: its beautiful, quiet studio with large windows overlooking the bay bridge, which inspires a restful practice, the diversity of its class offerings, the quality of its teachers, and a donation-based philosophy.
All but two of the classes (Mysore Ashtanga and AcroYoga) are supported by donations, so you can choose what you want to pay, and no one will judge you if you can't afford to pay anything. The donations go towards maintaining the space and supporting the teachers.
If you're bored of your current gym yoga class, or if you're tired of paying through the nose for private studio classes, come to this place. Classes are scheduled throughout the day all week, and there is everything from tai chi to meditation to naked yoga.
My favorite is Dhyan's Kundalini yoga class at 7pm on Thursdays. -

This studio is great.
They offer tons and tons of classes, most of which are donation classes. That is rare and way cool! If you're broke and can't afford to pay lots of money per drop-in class or a monthly membership, this is the place for you.
I've only done Hatha there but, they offer Kundalini, Ashtanga / Mysore,
AcroYoga, Tibetan Yantra, Tantrasana, Anusara, Rudraflo, Vinyasa, Tai Chi Chuan, Tantra, Feldenkrais, and more.
It's worth checking out, for sure!
Go there, love it, tell your peeps about it. -

SD yoga loft is always introducing classes from many different angles. In many ways it acts as an initiator and gives momentum to advancement in self help concepts. For those seeking to improve their health and concept of self this studio is great! i am looking forward to teaching workshops at this community based center!

The San Diego Yoga Loft is a fantastic donation-based studio with a wide range of yoga disciplines offered. I took a Thai Massage Intensive workshop there too which was well worth every cent. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to try yoga or anyone looking to broaden their yogic hoizons.

This Yoga loft is very convenient and by donation! It's hard to find a yoga studio that you can afford nowadays! getting more people to come would help keep this studio afloat and available on a donation basis! This studio is worth a check out! MAKE SURE WHEN YOU GO YOU CHECK OUT ABBIE HANSON'S VINYASA YOGE SESSION! SHE'S THE BEST!
