I've been coming here for years and can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that this is the best car wash I've ever been to. Realistically, I can't understand the complaints on here. If something wasn't done right, request to speak to a manager and have it taken care of. Having washed my car there nearly every other week for quite awhile now, I can say that there have been times when a spot or two may have been missed, but after mentioning it to the person cleaning my car, a crew of three would jump in to take care of the problem. It was like having my own pit crew.
These people go above and beyond to satisfy their customers. I once arrived home before realizing that one of the windows had water spots on it (not from their water, but from my front yard sprinklers) that had not been removed. The next day I stopped by on my way back from work and mentioned it. They didn't ask to see a receipt or ask me a hundred verification questions; instead, they apologized for missing it PROFUSELY, and, as seems to be the norm there, two people polished the window until it was spot-free.
Their rain-guarantee is fantastic and the fact that they're helping clean up the environment is a big plus in my book. For anyone that's saying it's overpriced, I'd like to challenge them to attempt to wash the outside of their car, vaccuum the inside carpets and mats, clean all of the windows free of water spots, wipe down the dash, console and doors, clean the door jams, clean, shine and dress the wheels/tires, and freshen the scent of the car in under three hours. You'll be exhausted and chances are you'll be taking breaks in between. If someone paid you $24 to do that for their car, would you accept it? I doubt it.
These guys go through hundreds of cars a day, and do so for a price that is far less than most people would accept to do the job for someone else.
In my experience, their washes are worth every dime of what I've paid. I leave happy and in 1/6 the time it would take to do it myself. The employees are friendly and courteous, the food inside is great and they're always willing to work extra to make sure you leave happy. I wouldn't trust my car to any other wash in Chico. -

Chico has been needing a place like this for years.
I was a big fan of Eric's Car Wash, but Scrubbs gives a much better wash, and your car is not subject to the abuse and beating of the mechanical equipment. The guys in wash tunnel have good thick hand mitts that do a great job. The quality control was spot on, and the car came out very clean. I paid $25.00 for a full service wash, which included the wheels and tires.
I got caught in a rain storm that night, and the next day they washed it again for free.
I would go back. -

What a rip-off. On a recent visit we took our college daughter's car into be washed. We were told that Scrubbs was the best wash in town. The attendant offered us a lot of a lot of expensive options which we rejected. We got the $19.95 interior and exterior wash.
We were not at all satisfied with the job they did. The passenger side had hard water spots that were not removed by the car wash. The attendant assured those couldn't be removed unless we had an acid wash, buff and wax - the price quoted was $260.
The front windshield was streaked inside and out, the interior dash was dusty and the cupholders hadn't been cleaned.
For $20 plus tip we expected a very professional job. In LA we pay $10 for a cash wash and the car is spotless in and out. If Scrubbs is the best Chico has to offer I'd suggest washing your own car. -

This place is highly UNorganized and for $20- $30, does a poor job.
Suggestion: employ a neighborhood teen- -

DO NOT GET YOUR CAR DETAILED HERE. I chose to have my van detailed at Scrubbs to get it ready to sale. When I came to get my car 3 hours later, they said it was all ready to go. The job they did was so inadequate. While there were parts cleaned like the carpets, there were areas that weren't even touched. The job was so inconsistent. Worst of all was the exterior and the so-called car wash. Remember, their main business is as a car but they couldn't even get that right. They didn't wash the roof at all and across the hood and front window there were still bugs squashed on. It mostly looked really bad. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere where the staff is actually focused on what they do. It appears that the staff at Scrubbs is very transitional. To their credit, the manager called me to apologize and offer a discount. Trust me. If you need a wash or a detail, go somewhere else.

We got our car washed and waxed there today and... not so good. They couldn't even get the bug residue off. Then they proceeded to wax right over them. When we asked why, they explained that the bugs just get "baked in, then they become part of the paint". Lame. I've watched a 4-year-old get those "baked in" bugs off the bumper for free (maybe I'll start paying her). Let's just say I expect a clean car when I pay to have my car cleaned. Is that so much to ask? I'm not trying to be harsh, these are just the facts. No recommendation for a less than half ass job. $27 dollars later and we'll have to wash it ourselves.

Honestly... Not impressed. I paid for a $34 car wash and got something I could've done myself. I have water spots all over my car, not just on the windshield, but on my chrome grill and visibly all over the paint. How hard is it to clean a brand new car that's only a couple months old? Also didn't clean the interior well (which wasn't even dirty to begin with!). Very sloppy and overpriced. I would recommend them paying closer attention to detail, and I'd recommend for anyone else to wash their cars themselves or find somewhere better, because this place is NOT worth it.

The car wash is very expensive for what they do. They missed a lot of spots, I'd say for about $25.00 they did a 75% job of cleaning the car. I don't think they used and tire dressing and I payed for it. It's certainly overpriced but I really didn't want to do it myself this week. It's a so-so car wash but there are not many choices in chico.
