We went during the 7th year which included 6 areas plus zombie paintball and several escape rooms. We got the regular admission which was only the 6 areas. The Escape Rooms were a cool new idea I haven't seen any other haunts do, so I'd be interested in trying those sometime. For reference, my gf and I love halloween & horror and try to go to several haunted houses every year. We've have been to pretty much all of them in the DMV area and some beyond. The attractions themselves at Screams At The Beach were really good, some of the better ones we've been to for sure. The Asylum, House, Prison, and Cemetery were well done and actually pretty long for this type of haunted house. They utilized the spaces well and had numerous twists, turns, stairs, etc to make the route longer. The Prison/cemetery was kind of joined together and it had you walk outside and through a few buildings, imo it was probably the best of the attractions. The decorations and actors were all pretty good, no complaints. We were staying in Ocean City and were looking at 3 different places to go and decided to go with this one and overall we were pretty satisfied with it.
However, there were some big negatives with this place. The lines are the slowest moving at any haunt I've been to. It took us over 4 hours to go through everything, 3.5+ of which were standing in line. On the one hand a lot of haunted houses feel way too short, and this one didn't, however all that standing in line is very tedious and takes away from the positive aspects. The Hayride/Forest section was the shortest section to go through but had the longest wait time - in fact the hayride dropped you off in the middle to do the Forest area and then you got to wait AGAIN for the cart to pick you up. This was kind of absurd, they need more than 1 cart taking people around. They do offer a fastpass type thing you can buy for extra money to skip the line and I'd say that this is unfortunately a must buy, otherwise you'll spend the bulk of your time standing around in line. Additionally, to make that wait even worse, they don't offer anything to do other than the haunts save for 1 small food stand and a band that played but finished rather early (9pm or so). After they stopped playing, the silence made it feel like the place was supposed to be closing up which was a bit awkward. A lot of other haunts we've been to will have a common area with more food or be showing movies or have bonfires or carnival games, or some such which gives people something to do or at least look at in between waiting in lines and possibly helps to shorten the lines a bit. Also I would have liked to have seen more actors walking around and scaring people in line (I think there were only 2 or 3 total who went to each line every so often). This would have at least given you something to focus on during the long wait for each attraction.
Overall, the core elements of Screams At The Beach were done very well and I'd love to see them work on the aspects I mentioned. The 10 minutes in each haunt are great, but having an 45+ min wait with absolutely nothing going on takes away from the good parts of the experience. If they could work on that this would be one of the best local haunts. I'd give it a 3/5 for regular admission, it would be a 4/5 with the fastpass.
(One other important thing to note is that the actors DO touch you at this one. This didn't bother us, but I could see it bothering some people so be aware. There is a safeword if you don't want them to mess with you.)

No reviews yet but we are going in October. We were told this was the scariest haunted attraction 2012.

Scary? Here's what's scary. You pay $30 for a ticket, then wait in lines for 45 minutes for each of their 5 attractions. VIP tickets will get to go to the head of the line making your wait even longer. This place is a rip off and a joke. Go to Roxana Fire Co's instead. $10 and the money goes towards a good cause. Not some dude's pocket that only tries to figure ways to squeeze you for another nickel.

Went on opening night (not the free preview night) of their 2nd year. Two of the 5 Haunts were really good. The hayride and trail needed some improvement but I have heard they have definitely gotten better even in the past 2 weeks. After attending two "bigger and older" Haunted Houses I really appreciate how good a job they are doing. The actors are enthused and the props are well done. I am excited to have a local Haunt and hope they keep getting bigger and better.
