Scott's is one of the last independent movie rental locations left.  It has a wide variety of films, a very friendly and knowledgeable staff.  

Has a different genre of selections posted which has their recommendations.  

I like it for its good selection of independent films.  

Nice stop for a neighborhood movie rental store.

When I lived in Willow Glen, I'd walk to Scott's Super Video and pick up a couple DVDs to watch when I was bored. Yes...I did belong to Netflix about 5 years ago. Unfortunately, at the time, it wasn't that useful to me since I was rarely around to watch the movies.

Occasionally, I had a movie craving and this is where I would go. The staff is knowledgeable in several genre. You can't go wrong with the staff picks that are posted up on the board when you walk in. They had a decent selection of Foreign, Classics, and Anime too. Also, they have a large room in the back for adult films....though, I've never been back there. ;-) I think their prices were also better than Hollywood Video and Blockbuster. The only drawback was that a lot of the popular movies were usually checked out. I guess that's where larger video rental places have the advantage.
