The store's name is perhaps a nod to the founder of the city of Alexandria, who was -- in fact --a Scottish Merchant.
This store has all things Scottish. Looking for a kilt for your wedding or Ren Faire? This is totally the place. This spot has more tartan than I have ever scene in one store. Inside, there are more than 200 different patterns and colors of tartan scarves and 400 tartan ties. And if you don't want to make a high dollar investment in something you may only want to wear once or twice -- they rent kilts, too.
They also sell clan crests, bagpipes (we have a piper, down!), and Celtic wedding rings. Their selection of Scottish music CD's is pretty impressive, too.

Definately a shop right out of the Scottish Highlands, this combination of tobaconist and Scottish fare provide a good mix. Books and items from Scotland mixed with fine cigars and pipe tobacco aroma. While a smallish shop, it definately reminds one of the like shops on the Royal Mile in Edinboro.
