Scott Park
1 review for Scott Park
This is a small, well shaded neighborhood park four or five blocks from downtown Palo Alto. There's not much reason to visit it unless you're in the area. It has one basketball net, a patch of grass, and a bigger sandy area with a couple of baby swings and a spring toy (shaped like a turtle) for little kids to rock back and forth on. The main attraction for my daughter is the water fountain.
The nice thing about this park is that it's always shaded and cool. There are several big trees that provide the shade and give the place a nice rustic feel. They have a couple of picnic tables and I think a barbecue grill (I'm not positive on that), but you rarely see anyone using them.
The park is actually located on Channing St between Waverley and Bryant.
