    Scott is the man!

I've never been in trouble with the law and it was really great to go to someone like Scott about it.

He emails and texts which was a relief for me and my schedule - I work and go to school during the day. When I told him about my case, he didn't even offer his services. He answered all my questions about the system, gave me my options and only offered his services when I asked. He was understanding of the fact that I'm a broke student and worked out a quote for me.

He took care of everything and I didn't have to worry about anything. Went to his office once to take care of some paper work and he was really chill and nice.

So awesome! I definitely recommend going to Scott if you need help with your case. Easy to talk to, cool & understanding.

    Please use a rating service other than Yelp to find your attorney.  Martindell Hubble would be a good start;

It would not be fair for me to fully rate Mr Pactor as I retained a different attorney partially thru the case.  Mr Pactor's inital advice regarding my case was good. However, I became nervous and replaced him with one of the top criminal defense attorneys in San Diego.  The second attorney charged a much higher price than Mr Pactor and his results were good.  Scott was not given the opportunity to continue defending me due to my own fears and intuition.  Every case is unique.  Be prepared to fight for your freedom.

Finding yourself on the wrong side of law can be confusing and dehumanizing. Finding yourself a lawyer who explains what to do and what to expect while also treating you with respect makes the whole ordeal a little less terrifying. Scott explained my options and went above and beyond many of my expectations. His straight forward approach definitely made me feel like I had someone real on my side, fighting for my best interest.

There's of course the plus side of watching a show at the Casbah and being able to point him out to your friends while saying " See that guy over there? That's my lawyer, and he's a really cool guy".

I came to scott with no hope and already had bad experiences with Mr. DUI, but HE IS GREAT!

He responded to every texts and phone calls I sent him considering this was my first case and I was nervous. He gave me straight forward answers which I appreciated and wanted. He actually listened about what I had to say about my case and my concerns. He gave me all the options that I can choose from.  He's an honest man, he saw that my case wasn't that serious. He could have charge me his usual price, but instead lessen'd it knowing that it was a easy win.

Scott is the lawyer you want to go to! You won't regret it! He's going to be my lawyer from now on if I get into any legal matter.

Scott is the best of the best.  He really knows his stuff and will treat you like a human!  I wish I could have him as my lawyer for everything I've needed to deal with in the court system.

He responds very quickly to any and all questions, he will give you realistic options and was exactly correct about how the outcome of my DUI would play out.  After a nightmare ordeal with "Mr. DUI" and loss of $1500, I wish I would have had the opportunity to give him that lost money as a tip.

Great guy, super lawyer, what else do you need to know.  If you end up in the unfortunate situation of needing a criminal defense lawyer, Mr. Pactor is absolutely the way to go hands down.

New to the life of crime and extremely terrified, I trusted the Yelp process to find me an attorney and I came out a winner. I was so impressed with the fast responses to my emails, texts, etc. My anxiety about my case and the entire process pretty much resolved at the first meeting. I appreciated being walked through the entire process and Scott was never condescending. I am walking away feeling like my money was well spent (fees are very reasonable and decent) and my needs met very attentively and respectfully. I appreciated Scott's candor, honesty and realism.  FYI, I went into the process of looking for an attorney completely blind, with no insight from anything/anyone but these ratings. They are very accurate and I highly recommend Scott.

Being my first (hopefully only) brush with the law, I didn't know much about lawyers, but compared to the couple others I talked to, Scott was a breath of fresh air. I in no way felt pressured as I did with other lawyers who I felt were trying to scare me into hiring them. Scott knows his stuff, yet is relatable, honest and sincere. His cost is very reasonable and fair. In this instance, Yelp was as helpful with lawyers as it is with finding good restaurants.

When I first needed legal services for my father's company, the Law Offices of Scott Pactor was one of the highly recommended law firms given to us.
I have to admit, I was amazed with the service and work they performed for us. They really work with integrity and honesty; and these are essential when dealing with a law firm.
Scott and his team provided us with sound legal advice and offered the most efficient solutions for legal scenarios that our company encountered. They laid out all our options and showed us the best and cost efficient solutions; which provided us with a clear view of the consequences and impact of our actions.
The legal team showed great competence and commitment to their work. They have delivered a very efficient service by being punctual during meetings and consultations. These people are truly professional and show empathy to their clients. They made sure that everything were crystal clear and that we understood what they were doing. In my opinion, the Law Office of Scott Pactor is one of the best in San Diego and I regularly recommend Scott and his team.
Their rates are very reasonable and you definitely get more than what you pay for. I only have praises for them and I am a client for life. The Law Office of Scott Pactor comes highly recommended and certainly gets my stamp of approval.

If you take a moment to read one of Mr. P's longer yelp reviews or better yet subscribe to his blog, you'll have difficulty finding a more articulate or on point mind for hire.  I'm just glad he's not a prosecutor.

I've been on the wrong side of the law more times than I can remember. Pretty sad, isn't it? Believe me when I say I know a thing or two about how lawyers operate. I've had some bad ones and I've had some good ones. Scott Pactor is the best one.

Accessibility to your lawyer is key. The need to retain a criminal defense attorney is among the most terrifying and bewildering experiences many will ever have. Some lawyers are impossible to get ahold of, and don't seem like they have any time for you. Your case is just another faceless file to push through the system and earn a commission on. You already feel like that when you deal with the bureaucratic processes of the courts, you DO NOT want this from your own lawyer. Scott was always available: quick to respond completely to any concern over the phone or by email, and he allowed for as much face-to-face office time as I needed.

The way he handles his office visits are superb. He LISTENS. If you have never had to deal with a lawyer before, you may not realize how important this is. Scott explored every angle of my case through our discussions, and I was amazed at the amount of research and strategy formulation he put forth to help us make the best decision at every stage of the process. Two things are extremely important in that last sentence:
    1. The word "discussions". He didn't talk at me, telling me what was going to happen en route to a crappy plea deal for me and a quick fee for himself. We went over every aspect of the case until we were both certain of how to go forward.
    2. Research. As we talked, both Scott and his assistant Crystal Walser made notes to look into a great deal of case law and explore its possible application to my defense. A few lawyers in my past have pretty much had the attitude that I was going down any which way and they didn't seem to make an effort to come up with any defense strategy. Both Scott and Crystal kept me apprised of their ongoing research and allowed time to discuss possible applications of that research with me. They actually did something! Again, that is not as common as one might think when dealing with a lawyer. I must commend Crystal Walser for her work on my case, she was every bit as helpful as Scott was, and I think they make a great team. It was really like having two lawyers for the price of one.

Although my case did not end with an acquittal, Scott was able to get a key charge dropped through means other than backroom dealing with the prosecutor. I have found this backroom dealing area to be the most loathsome and detestable aspect of the legal system; all prosecutors and many defense lawyers routinely sell out their side on some or every aspect of a case in order to avoid trial and more expediently resolve things. Scott was different from some other lawyers I've had in that he continued to fight until we reached a plea agreement that was both accurate and fair. I have taken plea agreements in the past negotiated by poor lawyers that have resulted in my being found guilty for things I did not actually do, but were closely related enough to the case to merit a grand jury indictment. Scott would have none of this. He did what was right by the Law of The State of California, and that is a great service to all citizens, whether they have ever been accused of a crime or not.

Scott was great.  I had a DUI case and Scott was cool enough even meet me where i live in orange county.  He's is completely straight forward with you.  He'll tell you what he can do for you right away.  After i told him my case, he just goes up and tells me "they're just going to drop the case, your fine."  I couldn't believe it.  He told me that I didn't even need him  He was even nice enough to still answer my questions after the fact.  real cool guy.

Scott is AMAZING. After searching various options on my ordeal, I went here on Yelp and found him. 90 Percent of the other lawyers out there quoted me a price that was FAR BEYOND ridiculous for what i needed, and they said the entire process would take about 3-4 months. At a fraction of the cost, Scott Pactor helped me out in less than a month. AMAZING. He responds quickly to any question or concern and all in all, I hope to never need a legal reason to hire him, but if by some chance I did, I would go straight to Scott Pactor! :)

I called his office, and emailed him. I told him he could text me, and he did so within literally 10 minutes. My case was pretty simple so I did not have to come in, but he was straight forward and honest. I am going to send him a $50 dollar check over the mail because he is awesome.
