Seeing BJ's and Schooners are the only brewpubs in Antioch/Brentwood I thought it would be a good idea to evaluate them side by side and post to both.

Overall. BJ's comes out on top. The main reasons for us to  go to Schooner's are Sunday brunch and distance.

I will start with the beer seeing that is what a brewpub is about. When it comes to the IPA Schooners is a cut or five or six above BJ's. Schooners is one of the very best around while BJ's is, well, recognizable as an IPA. According to Judit, Schooner's Irish Red is indistinguishable from BJ's Jeremiah Red. There any advantage Schooner's has disappears. BJ's Tatonka stout, darn I might even choose it over a good pint of Guinness. That is a sort of blasphemy (Guinness can be a religion) but there you are. Then we played a game with the menu. How many days could we go to each and drink a different beer we liked. Judit. Schooners: 2, BJ's 9. Me. Schooners 5, BJ's a fortnight at least.

Service: A tie. We have almost always (no one can be perfect) had good experiences at schooner's in this regard. On our first visit to BJ's we commented to each other that the service would not be as good and they would not get to know us. It was just that there were so many people. To our surprise the service has been great and we do get welcomed back.

Noise level. Schooner's by a mile. BJ's is just very noisy.

Food. Here we have to exclude entrees as we almost never eat them. When it comes to appetizers, BJ's has more and more interesting choices. For a long time we thought that Schooner's had the very best wings of anywhere but then they changed them and added a rather unappetizing batter. BJ's wings, when you ask for them bare, are just as Schooners' used to be but more of them. When it comes to Sunday brunch BJ's gets knocked to the dirt and kicked around the corner. That is mainly  because BJ's breakfast items are dry and tasteless. Their potatoes are a bit better than Schooners' but neither are good. Oh, Schooners does have their appetizer ribs. Worth a visit.

Price: BJ's gets the edge. This is not scientific but a $40 tab at Schooners would probably be $35 at BJ's.

Appetizer Garlic Fries with ranch dressing. "very good but The Counter's parmesan fries are better".
Wife got the tuna melt. "It was ok"
I got the Country Chicken "unfortunately it was so awesome I had to share with the wife" :)
But the star of this visit was the staff.
They were all very pleasant and helpful. Pauline was an amazing waitress! Our drinks never got past the half glass mark before she zipped by with refills. My wife hesitated for a few seconds on her side selection for her tuna melt, and Pauline offered to bring a sample to help her decide. Later when she was packing my chicken up to take home (We forced ourselves to keep from eating all of it so we could snack on it later), she asked if she could get me some more gravy to pack up with it. I mean really, how many waitresses are that attentive!

Drove to Antioch to check this brewery off our list and that's basically what happened. It wasn't here nor there. We tried the American Ale, Pale, Oatmeal Stout, Peach Hef ( i think), IPA, and Barleywine. Our waitress was nice and offered us another sample because one wasn't our style. It was a nice offer, but wasn't needed. Lunch was good and hit the spot. More of a restaurant then a brewery.

One doesn't expect much in a vast new suburban neighborhood where all the houses are hidden in side streets (no gates, at least) and there's nothing on the main drags except sidewalks, plantings, and a shopping center every half mile. But this place was good.  Lightly-breaded sole, fried in lemon butter, over rice, with veg (mixed long beans). Starter a Thai chicken soup I really hope they keep the recipe for. Attentive enough waiter that, after setting down the meal and hurrying off, came back a moment later to find me staring at the untouched plate. "Everything OK?" "Well," I said, "I wasn't planning on eating it with my fingers." Message received.

It had been years since I had been here and was never really impressed with the place for a number of reasons though, for some odd reason, I just had a hankering to check them out again.

So, my friend and I decided to meet up here recently to grab a bite and have a drink.

The place has not changed much (at least from what I remember) It has a nice modern rustic, brewery style atmosphere, which appears to be clean and well kept. The bar area is really nice, with a glass window behind the bar giving you a vision of the Brewery.

They have a nice selection of beers to choose from however, they need to update the menu board of the beers they have presented on the wall because half of the ones I inquired about, they no longer carry : (

John was the bartender this afternoon and what a great bartender he was! He let me sample a few beers until he suggested there atende beer- which is there 10 year anniversary beer- which is a dark German beer and all I can say is for a dark beer, it was delish!! : )

For our food, I ordered there buffalo burger medium well with Swiss cheese and no buns (beers the carbs today) and my friend ordered the Caesar salad.

Well, after receiving our food and taking a few bites, I have to say that my burger that was supposed to be medium well, was as dry as toast I mentioned it to our bartender and they said because its a leaner meat its more dry, which I can understand but not to the dryness extent that my buffalo was. Needless to say, I just had them cook me a reg burger and it turned out decent and juicy.

Overall, we had a nice experience this afternoon, our food was just so-so however, my beer was fantastic and what really made our afternoon was the great service we received from our bartender John!

Can't say it's a place I would visit regularly but would look forward to coming in again!

Okay I'll be short here, as the old adage goes, if you don't have anything nice to say.....
If it wasn't for their beer which is just okay this review would be zero stars or negative! I'll just sum up the experience; ignored poor service and terrible food (I'd rather have hospital cafeteria food), this place could be so much more but do your self a favor save your money and spare your stomach go somewhere else, I think there's a McDonald's close by...

Came for happy hour cuz the boyfriend likes drinking beer that is brewed at the restaurant itself. And i believe during happy hour a pint is $3.00 and all appetizers are $4.99. But what if someone is not a beer person like myself?? I like cocktails but they didnt have a menu for that. The waiter said they were redoing their menu.. Didnt really believe her but whatever. So i wanted one strong cocktail that will keep me buzzed as i watched a movie. I played it safe n went for a long island. Boy was that gross but i still forced myself to drink it all!!! Not a good idea cuz it gave me a headache :( oh and i was charged $7.95 for a nasty headache cocktail!

This place wasnt busy at all. Though, the bar was full prolly just cuz it was happy hour.

Terrible pre-packaged bar food, priced up like a chef is back in the kitchen - only there isnt one. No wonder no one eats here.

I was impressed by the shiny vats of beer in the glassed-in brewery area behind the bar. Encouraged by the sight, I asked if they had any good Nut Brown Ales. The wait person said everything is on the menu, and informed me the red listed there was the same as a brown. Amazed that a brewery waitperson doesnt know the difference between a red and a brown ale I looked for a bartender behind the bar and found out they dont staff them for the lunch crowd. No wonder no one eats here.

So I settled for a creamy stout and went back to my table. After watching my beer get hand carried around to at least four tables (warming up in her hands the whole time), it finally was sloshed down on my table to spill over my napkins and utensils. She then grabbed it back from me, ran (with my beer) to the Hostess station, and grabbed more napkins. Which, when she finally returned (after stopping at two more tables) were soaked with the remains of my now-luke-warm stout. =( No wonder no one eats here.

When the food finally arrived it was greasy and average. Obviously pre-made and heated up for the lunch crowd, I wonder if they do any real cooking on the premises at all. High prices, cheap food, and under-trained staff make for a bad taste in your mouth after paying for your meal. =( No wonder no one eats here.

The food is pretty good, and wait staff is very friendly/fun. Lupe, the GM is a decent guy, although I never see him there anymore. Tiffany is a great server too.
I really only have two complaints. 1. There is a nasty smell outside the building. I don't know if it's a sewer line, or if they never take their trash out or what, but it's pretty foul. The second is the flies inside the restaurant. They're all over the place. Go to Home Depot and pick up one of those fly-catcher-bags and be done with it.

Came here for dinner and drinks and sat at the bar area. Had the Chicken Cobb Wrap with fries (10.29) which was ok and the Deer Valley Chicken Salad with cider vinaigrette (10.99) which was really good.

4 stars for the wine alone. Had 3 glasses of Duckhorn Chardonnay. Mmmmmmmm the best ever!!! Should of just purchased the damn bottle!

The blond bartender was nice. Attentive to our needs but not overbearing.

    All was good!

Pronounced "schooners" like in "school" (I asked!).  =P
    .
My family and friends that live in the area vouches for their food quality so I had to try it out.  We came around happy hour time which served several appetizers for a cheaper price. When I was there, we did some family style with the pasta and the steak and various assortment of nachos, fries, and chicken.  The food wasn't anything spectacular, something I could find at a Denny's or equivalent restaurant in it's class, but the food does look massive, which is impressive.  However, in the end, my friends agreed that this time around, the food wasn't so great as the last time they had it.  I personally thought it was just okay, too--nothing special.

Here's how servicing can really make or break an enjoyable dining experience for me: for the time I spent here, I had bad service.  This was the bigger deciding factor in giving this place two stars (it would have been a 3 star otherwise).  Our water was never refilled.  Granted, I was drinking beer, but much misfortune to my comrades at the table that didn't get water refilled!   Hopefully it's not a tall order to ask for more water, but it sucks when the waitress is nowhere to be seen to do so.  And then to top it off, the waitress closed out my bill before I had a chance to order dessert and more beer (I just finished eating my entree now...come on!)..bad assumption to make, miss.

Nevertheless, I proceeded forward, pointed to the picture of 'chocolate cake' and ordered it.  Why in quotes, you ask?  Well...did I get chocolate cake?  No...not in the literal sense, but of a different variety.  I got a chocolate cake drink instead!  That one was on the house, courtesy of the bartender on behalf of the lady that made the mistake..(the lady servicing us left; she was in a hurry to leave the restaurant).

On the positive note, at least I got a chance to experience the chocolate cake drink.  It was a half shot of some vanilla vodka and a half of something else.  I smelled it, and by golly, it sure did smell like chocolate.  Oh my sense of smell wasn't skewed by my alcohol intake yet, as my table friends also took a whiff to bask in its chocolatey essence!  Yes!  And since smelling and tasting are two very similar things, the taste reflected the smell beautifully.  Didn't taste the alcohol at all.  Wonderful.  If I ever dine here again, I'm definitely hitting this again...and I recommend you to do the same!  But uhh...for ages 21+ and up...!  Obvious 'disclaimer', of course--yes, I tend to point out the obvious for unneeded clarity, as I had done with the cake...so you can imagine my surprise (with my friends snickering in the back) when my order was messed up.  XD

Oh, and I had my chocolate cake after (finally). As an apology on their behalf, they over-splattered more chocolate fudge, drenching the cake.  I imagined the cake to be a lot better without the drenching fudge (the way it was originally intended) only because it killed the texture of the cake.  Don't get me wrong, I do like fudge, but sometimes you can have too much (why am I saying this??? I can't believe I just said that...)

Food is still a 4, but the service was sucky.
I needed to nurse my baby so I asked if we could be in a corner so not to upset anyone.  The hostess told us to sit where we want and a second later I see our server give her some attitude about it.  Then the St. Patrick Day decorations fell and no one even went to the table to fell on to say sorry or offer a comp.  They just worked around them to clean it up.  Once we got the bill we were ready to pay right away, but the server didn't even come by.  I had time to bring our 4 year old to the restroom and be back in time for our infant to start crying.  I eventually handed the bill to the chef to have him have someone run it for us.  It amazed me that it took them so long to take care of us seeing that by the time we left there was just ONE other table and probably 10 employees that I saw.

Hopefully it was an off day since it was Day Light Savings, but dang it was bad!

I wish this place had good food.  It's close to home and looks like a cool hangout spot.  But the 2 times we came here back when we first moved to Antioch, the food sucked big time.  We don't drink, so there's not really anything here that would beckon us to return.

I should mention that the last time we came here, a few years ago, they had some scantily clad cheerleaders (49ers? Raiders? Warriors?  No clue) doing some calender signing or such.  If I were male and single and liked to ogle women, that might be a draw.

New menu - effective for just a bit... so if you're counting on something you used to get there, you'd better check the menu BEFORE you go in.

Service is hit or miss and now the food is also.

Still a decent place for a beer - but don't ask for a Budweiser, as they only have Bud lite - and some of the waitresses don't even know that :(

I've driven by this place for the entire 3 years we've lived in Brentwood, and never had much desire to go. When we finally tried it, I was really upset.....that we didn't try it 3 years ago! We've been here 4 times since, trying a new entree and new beer each time. We've never been disappointed. Best nachos we've had in the entire area. That with a beer will be a new staple in our restaraunt rounds.

I try so hard to like this place, but for the longest time the service has just been awful. I actually stopped going for a a few years, but I've gone to hook up with friends weekly for the last few weeks and our waitpersons just seem to not care about checking in on us.  Is it too much to make sure our water glasses are full so we don't have to keep asking for a pitcher of water so we can help ourselves? I did enjoy the French Dip and the Santa Fe Chicken Salad and they have a nice beer selection.  It it wasn't for my friends inviting me, I wouldn't be going on my own.

I like this place.  It's kind of like a friend that I rarely see but when I do we just pick up like it was just yesterday.  I've been to Schooner's a few times now - my bff lives in the area.  And, even though I can never remember what I ate or drank - the reason why I hadn't written a review until now - I know that I've never left unsatisfied.  There is definitely something to be said for that!

My poor starving husband needed to eat. Me being from the area, I could only remember this place on the way home from Brentwood and thought we would give it a try this afternoon.

I had only been here once about 7 years ago and all I could remember was that they had a full bar.

Their cocktail menu is minuscule. I love beer but you would think with a full bar they may have some cool options for cocktails. They did have Boddingtons on tap and Green Flash. If they didn't have cocktails I would have gone with one of those options.

We went with the Cosmo's. They were good but it took forever to get our first drink. My husband and I had three apiece. After the first one the two others came out faster.

The food was lacking in a way. I like that they didn't have GIANT portions like other places. It was normal food for normal people. I had the Schoonie Dip, more like a roast beef sandwich. There was nothing on the sandwich except meat and bread. My husband gave me his onion off his Buffalo Burger to church it up.

I also ordered a piece of the Snickers Pie to go and the waitress put whipped cream on top. Why would you put whipped cream on something that the customer was going to be tossing around in their car on the way home? I thought that was kind of strange.

I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here again. Considering we had to pull in somewhere because my husband was about to go into low sugar shock.

If I am in Antioch, its because of one of my favorite friends EVER.  She's a sickly little thing and I just love her.  She usually smells nice, which makes it easy to be her friend.

Back to my yelp.... driving to Antioch seems to get longer and longer each time I do it, so sitting down and having a nice lunch, with good company makes it worth my while.

If memory serves me correctly, I ordered the calamari, ceasar salad and we shared the most incredible mutha effin brownie sundae EVER.  The sugar coma kicked in during a movie we saw after lunch.   Apparently I snore like a train is vibrating through your head.  HEY.... I never claimed to be a dainty lil lady!

Bathroom was tidy..... I'm really icky about public restrooms.

Service was good but my company was even better.

Today was Mother's day and I thought I would pick a place my mom would love. She loves brewery's with german or bar type food.

We set reservations so our wait wasn't to long at all, but there was quite a crowed. Once seated It took a few good minutes for our server to ask for drinks and once we got them they would go bone dry before we could get a refill. Food wise was It was mediocre My mom had the bratwurst, brother In-law  had the bbq pork sandwich, sister had some type of burger, and I had the chicken alfredo pizza. It was alright, nothing special. I don't drink but I hear that there beer and sangria is very good. The portions are very good sized. Service not so good. Apparently alcohol is very good.

Last note- atmosphere very loud and ZERO privacy, I felt like I was eating in front of an audience.

My family and I were regular customers at Schooner's for several years but have stopped going there since we have had a foreign object and an insect delivered to us on our meal plates on two consecutive occasions.

The first time the manger took the object back to the kitchen but could not identify it. He did little but apologize for the brown pebble hiding on my plate beneath the decorative lettuce and, at the time, I gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt.

In the second instance, a long black insect was found in my wife's sour cream. The manager comped us the one meal (a quesadilla), but insisted that the bug must have crawled on the plate after delivery to our table. I was a stunned by his implication that we planted it there for a free meal. We were offered desert, but declined. and left never to return again.

The beer was always tasty and the atmosphere pleasant, but the idea of darkening the door at Schooner's Grille & Brewery makes me ill.

Pretty much Antioch's biggest attempt to be Walnut Creek.

One thing I do like about this place is the consistent staffing of hot looking broads.  The latest crop hasn't been as good as circa 03-04 but there are a few gems there that are good to leer at.

I ate here once but don't remember much so the food probably tasted like every other shitty restaurant in Antioch.  I have however done my fair share of drinking at Schooners.

The outside area is nice to sit and drink during the summer.  Especially now with all the section 8 housing in the immediate surrounding area.  Me and my buddy like to sit outside and watch all the police activity in the parking lot of regal cinema.  Shots were fired one time and we saw people running for cover.  It was neat.  If you want to see what it would look like if Oakland and Richmond had a illegitimate child, sit outside of Schooners and enjoy the show.

I love Schooner's.  I really do.  I used to love them more when their happy hour (4p - 6p)  was in full throttle.  Every single appetizer on the menu was 1/2 priced.  We'd race up highway 4 trying to make it in time to secure a table so my little girls could sit in the bar as well.

We'd all order our favorite appetizers (calamari, riblets, garlic fries, pizza) and dig in.

The long islands they make here are really good too!

Well, those days are over and its rare we dine here.  They've changed their happy hour to consist of certain apps at 1/2 price. None of which are any of our favorites.  The riblets are gone (-1 star for that) And, in order to get a seat at the bar or a little table in the bar you have to be there WAAAY before 4.    If I had to sit there that long, waiting to take advantage of happy hour i'd be drunk by 4pm.

I might as well dine here when I want, screw the time constraints and not have an anxiety attack in the process worrying if tables are free or not.

They brew their own beer here and while I am not a big fan of that, they did offer an IPA last summer that was outta this world.  We were able to secure one growler but by the time we went back to have our growler filled - it was all gone.

They have alot of local artists perform here in the evening - i dig that about Schooner's and think its great to support local musicians etc.  I could however, do without the balloon animal making clown.  I have kids and love it that they are gearing their Wednesday nights for more kid oriented fun ( i believe they eat free off the kid menu as well these nights) but then you have to deal with the balloons all over the table in my way and the popped ones and remember I've got twins so we doubles and triples of everything.

Its a bar and grill, its casual and I think their menu is a bit over priced.

All in all, Schooners is fun.  The food is good and the long islands here remain one of my favorites!

This place make very delicious beer. Very very.

The food has always been good, but the beer IS better.

You can even take their beer home! Which is a good thing for me. =)

Beer. If you want something more interesting in the isolated parts of the region, then Schooner's or Qin's are probably the two best bests. Schooner's is more bar & grill / pub grub food. It's actually all pretty lightly prepared but with a lot of flavor.

Excellent food value for what's available in the area, although it's more straightforward. Odd bar design, but extra friendly staff.

I was all excited to write a 4-star review from the last time I went here...

We came here in May-ish after cherry picking, and boy were we happy with the food! I had the buffalo burger, which was great, and my fiance had the shrimp club..which was A-MA-ZING. So much, in fact, that we drove all the way out here yesterday so we can both get the club..

..but it just wasn't as good. Maybe the first time wasn't supposed to be as good, or maybe this time they just missed out on something. But we were very disappointed based on our first experience.

We got the beer sampler both times, and thought it was pretty darn good! Didn't like the IPA, but I won't hold that against them - I just hate all IPAs.

Service was good both times. I don't think we will drive out there again just for Schooner's, but if we are in the area I would give it another shot.

I was driving by this place and having never been here before it caught my attention.

It was a beautiful Saturday in Antioch Ca. and we decided to eat outside. I think that was the highlight of our lunch.

The food was not that good. I had a BBQ Western burger. My Wife had their Pulled pork sandwich. Both were good but nothing outstanding. The waitress was kind of annoying. It felt like we were bothering her when we asked for something.

Their Cesar dressing is too fishy.

I cant say my meal here was anything great that would make me want to come back.

Me & the boys used to come here all the time.  I mean like everyday drinking beer in the patio on a nice day or evening.  I was a mug club member back in 2002.  All mugs were $4.00 dollars!  Good deal!  The staff knew us when we come in and have our beers ready ha ha!  That's how cool they were they knew what we wanted.  I miss coming here just to kick back and talk with the folks in the patio.  What I miss is those nice Antioch nights just chillin out in the patio drinking and enjoying some apps.  If you live out in that area you know what I mean :  )  Sometimes they would have a DJ or band play which was cool.  Change the atmosphere up!  Other than that I haven't been here in awhile and don't know what its like there now.  I just wanted to tell you my side : )

Parking there can get busy because of the movie theater so I suggest to come early or carpool with someone haha!  You could be driving around for a good 10 mins unless you want to park over by McDonald's or somewhere in that area.

If your ever in the neighborhood come by here for a beer!  their good and they have won a few awards for their micro-brews!  5 stars for the beer 3 stars for the food!

The 5 stars are purely for the beer only - as far as I'm concerned that is why they are there - to give us good beer and they do a fine job.  Their Stout is the best stout I have ever had.

The food sucks but screw the food - this is a brewery come for the brew.  Have a stout - that is a meal in itself :)

Returned with a group of 18 guys.  We got to use the back room which they closed off  with the sliding door. Since it was Tuesday about 1 pm, they "excused" the normal cover charge (~$100 for a "private room").

We got separate checks which was nice for the guys who wanted or didn't want to order some of the great beer.  The light ale was a special hit.

Great Sandwiches in a bit more upscale venue than many antioch places.

The Club was delicious and HUGE.

The Salmon sandwich (1st time I had a salmon sandwich) and it was tasty.  The REALLY GREAT item was the shrimp bisque (soup of the day).  This soup (red version) was well seasoned.

Sandwiches ~ $9 - $10 come with choice of soup, or salad, or fries.

    Lunch Specials looked inviting.

WOW, this place is always always crowded and the service isn't always all that on point. however, the food is tasty, the drinks are stiff and karaoke night makes my eyes moist with tears of joy. i think i enjoy seeing karaoke here more than any other place. i guess because i'm 1) not in a scummy dive (though, i am in antioch) 2) no, i guess it really is just because i'm not in a scummy dive bar. schooner's is also a favorite destination with us ladies before we do our movie night. objective: take as many shots as you can in 15-20 before going into the movie theater across the parking lot.

damn... i almost always have a good time!

Tried Schooners again after at least 5 years away on a lunch meeting and it has actually turned it's act around. I am a particular fan of the Buffalo Chicken Cesar Salad and the Potato Skins... Yum!

The only thing still lacking here is the service. Not so competant still. I have gone in at lunch and the seating hostess doesn't even acknowledge you so my group merely seated ourselves...another time I took my brother to lunch and he ordered one of their chicken sandwiches and got a hamburger instead...

Service really needs to change before I change this review again, BUT, the food has come A LONG way since the last time I was there!

Schooner's food can be a bit of "miss and hit", but to be honest, this is such a nice place to go to.  The atmosphere is great and on weekends, musicians come and play.  I love the fact this place is  in Antioch and that the  waitresses are extremely nice and helpful.  During the summer, you can sit outside in their patio.

As for the food, let me start with what we liked.  My husband and I ordered  their prime rib dinner and paid an extra dollar for the kitchen to split the order.  We REALLY enjoyed our meal. The vegetables were nicely cooked and the medium rare prime rib was tender and juicy.  Based on the waitresses recommendation, we ordered the carrot cake, which was also very good.

We know not to order the bratwurst with purple sauerkraut and garlic mashed potatoes because the sauerkraut  was very  overcooked and didn't have a sauerkraut flavor.  It just looked mushy.   The mashed  potatoes were so bland and dry we couldn't eat more than one bite. The  overly sweet peach cobbler  was microwaved too long.

Next time we come back, we plan on splitting another Prime Rib dinner and a salad.  Their salads are great.  The sandwiches that were ordered at another table looked pretty good too.  Overall after going to the movies, Schooner's is the place to go to eat and talk.

Never come here for breakfast unless you like chewy frozen fruit and waffles that taste like cardboard.

Deer Valley salad is good.  This is about the only thing I ever order on their menu.  Mostly everything tastes like it was prepared days ago, frozen, and then microwaved when you order it.

Garlic fries are okay.  The sundaes are great.

    Everything else is bleh.

Loud and barn-like; not a place to go if you're wanting a quiet date night.  The food is average; decent but nothing to rave about.

I'm not a beer drinker, but my husband enjoyed the micro-brews very much.  They have a fun, sampler of several different beers that he liked immensely!  So, go there to try their beer!

Their parking can be awful since it's right by the movie theater, so be prepared to hunt down a spot on weekends.

We used to really enjoy this place. Not sure what happened. We went today for a late lunch (3:30 ish) and it was very disappointing. First of all, they only had one menu for the two of us. That would have been fine had we not heard them tell two other tables the very same thing. Where were all their menus?!  Second, the flies. I'm sorry, but a restaurant should NOT have that many flies inside. I shooed way so many and watched them land on the table next to ours spinach dip (:::shudders:::). Third, they did away with a lot of their variety. I used to have several choices on their menu (vegetarian), not  anymore. I had two choices and I guess I made the wrong one. It was bland and overcooked.

I will be honest, we'll probably go back because they deserve the benefit of the doubt.  The service was very good, but something seems to have shifted in their food and we're hoping it's not permanent.

    We miss the old Schooners.

I've visited Schooner's several times over the past couple weeks. Their all-you-can-eat Fish and Chips Monday's are great along with their other weekly specials really make Schooners a great regular place to eat.

While I'm not a huge fan of beer, i've tried a couple of their micro-brews and found their unique taste to be complimentry to their dishes.

well done to the staff of Schooner's.
