GREAT BREAD......really the best sandwich around.
It's a little on the high calorie side and price side, but as a great once in a while - YUUUUUUMMMMMM!
The only good reason to fly through Houston. That strange, spongy bread is just, well, fabulous. And their potato chips are the only ones I ever get. The original is a caloric splurge, but the veggie options aren't so horrifying. For fast food, it's pretty bloody good.
I have eaten here about 5 times since they opened - the service and quality has been consistently good. After my last visit I felt the urge to Yelp; so, here I go.
I recently had the most amazingly yummy Mozzarella & Portobello Panini here, it also includes spinach, tomato and olive oil - 5 of my favorite foods on very yummy bread - I am developing a craving just writing about it! I can also highly recommend the Smoked Turkey & Guacamole Panini and the Greek Salad. For "fast food" this place serves up some very fresh and healthy drive-through food.
FYI for those on a diet - several of their sandwiches have "light" mayo or dressing! and Yes they are Vegetarian friendly!
Yup -definitely the original. Try the Texas Schlotzskys, its a really big bite!! I've been enjoying this food from way back, and now the pizzas are great. Give the review on your receipt a go. I did, on my phone while I waited and then ate my sandwich. Was good for a free small original sandwich that for some reason was really good, I guess cause it was free. You'll spend a little more than at McDs but the food is wayyyyy better.
My first time here tonight. For thirteen bucks my son & I had a wrap, a panini, chips , three cookies & a large raspberry lemonade. The food was good, what I call a slightly healthier version of fast food. Tasty, fast & very pleasant service. I think at least five people there said have a good night as we were leaving. Perfect rainy night food after a book shopping spree at Barnes & Noble next door.
