Review from Jack P.
Schloegel's is most memorable in my little play book because I had my first bowl of clam chowder here at age ten (at the old restaurant when it was in Marinette.) I became an instant clam fan. I've been stopping here for years on the trip north to the U.P., and I love its location right on the water. And they now have outdoor seating, too.
The clam chowder and other fresh soups are of homemade quality. The regular sandwiches are good diner quality. The pies and other baked goods and pasties are really outstanding, and reasonably priced. There is a separate bakery room and gift shop, and they also sell some of their own special sauces. I have never had a full dinner, nor have I tried breakfast here. But as a traditional lunch stop and for an incredible view of Green Bay (not the town, dummy, the bay) you can't beat it as a good value.Listed in: UP to da' U.P.

Went here for a late breakfast on a Saturday afternoon. The service was fine; but the food was absolutely terrible. I ordered a veggie omelet without cheese and a side of hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were so salty that I couldn't even swallow them, and the omelet was equally inedible. In fact, I'm hesitant to call it an omelet. It was really just thinned out eggs fried into a tortilla shape, watery canned veggies dumped in the middle, and then the egg-tortilla folded over them, like a burrito. My understanding of an omelet is that the veggies are generally placed in the eggs before they cook. I asked the waitress about it, and she said that's just how they make them. I can't believe anyone with a fully functioning set of taste buds would ever find that mess appealing.
It gets an extra star from me because the waitress took the omelet off our bill. We left her a hefty tip for having to be the messenger to whoever is pretending to know how to cook in the back. -

I love this place for breakfast. It's a great stop. The view of the bay is wonderful and there are plenty of windows to enjoy it.
It's a busy place, bright and colorful. There's a big gift shop in the building. They have some great bakery to enjoy with coffee but the big breakfast entrees can't be beat. -

This place has a varied menu and just about everything on it is good, and well priced. The view of the bay is wonderful and you'll see mallards, geese, egrets, deer and sometimes even a fox or two. We've seen ice boaters in winter and sailboats in summer (get a window booth). There is also a charming little gift shop.

My wife has loved this place for years for the great view of the lake, its ' gift shop and friendly service. A popular place with both locals and tourists. While the food is good, the friendly and efficient staff makes Schloegel's a special place. Good for lunch and dinner, but best for breakfast.

I've had breakfast a few times here and it's always good - and it's a nice, hearty all-american breakfast (pig ham!!). Nice views of the shoreline and the bay. I love the bay. I haven't had lunch or dinner here. They also have a bakery and a gift shop.

Haven't eaten breakfast here but lunch/dinner were dreadful. The view is the only saving grace about this place - spectacular! I really want to like this place so I will give it another try...someday...once I get the taste of soggy bread, bad cranberry sauce, and dried turkey out of my head...
