I love the bumper boats. Mini golf is cool (if no one is in front of you).
The batting cages are awesome! They were the highlight of the trip.
A few good arcade games and call it a day.
We went here recently with Ben's folks and his niece. Was a nice idea to take a young person to play mini golf and I have to admit that I got into it for the first 9 holes or so. However, the staff was pretty unfriendly and there wasn't even anyone sitting at the ticket booth when we got there. Didn't do anything but play mini golf and get icees so I can't really speak to the other amenities but I wasn't very impressed overall with the experience, just the company.
As far as things to do in Roseville is concerned....this is about as fun as it gets. And thats not saying a whole heck of a lot.
They have a decent mini-golf course. But the wait is horrible if going on a weekend. You'll wind up spending a good portion of your day waiting for the families ahead of you finish their rounds.
Decent go-karts...but I noticed some seem to go a lot faster than others (in-door go-karts are way more entertaining).
The bating cages were decent as far as battling cages went...prob the only real highlight of the whole experience
I prob spent most of my time though in the arcade just burning up the rest of my tokens on random games (-1 star for having a Time Crisis game that dosen't allow co-op...BOOOOO)
I've been going to this place since it opened! It's been a staple for family fun in the region for a long time. Two mini golf courses, batting cages, go karts, bumper boats, arcade games and NASTY, OVER-PRICED snack bar food... yeah, what could be finer?
Scandia has gotten expensive over the years, but they've managed to use their income to keep things in pretty good shape. They recently added this giant four person theme park type ride called the Scandia Screamer. It's cool. It'll make you want to YACK all that nasty food I mentioned above, but it's way over-priced for a single ride.
Need to play with the kids (or just play like a kid)? Then get to Scandia and check it out yourself. Pay the "package deal" price so you get unlimited use of the non coin-operated attractions which gives you the freedom to stay as long as you want and get your money's worth.
While this place does not interest me that much these days, I have frequented it a few times recently for nostalgic reasons. Back in the mid-late 90s this was a fun place for me as a kid and coming here with friends was a blast since they had a ton of great arcades and the go-karts were fun. I remember getting the all day pass which would give you unlimited go-kart, bumper boat rides and mini golf as well as a bunch of tokens. I also remember when they gave tokens and tickets for the go-karts for good grades. Those were the days. These days there are not too many arcades that interest me and the highlight I would say is The Simpsons arcade machine and watching others play the overpriced Deal or No Deal machine. I may have my hand with the batting cage since it's been a while since the last time I gave it a go. The nostalgia is what keeps it alive for me.
We went to Scandia on Sunday and it wasn't to busy at all. I think I liked the batting cages best. Its only 2 dollars for 20 pitches, not a bad price at all. They should give you some extra if theres no one in line.
The kids loved the mini golf, they got the the "package deal" and got unlimited use of the non coin-operated attractions. That was a bargain and the place was well kept.
Didn't have the nads for the Screamer its this tall hammer like ride. (you can't miss it from the freeway).
Food was the reg kids stuff, (not for me)
On a Saturday night, this place is poppin!
Kids running alround, teenagers playin video games, etc.
Batting cages are 2 dollars only for 20 pitches (which is pretty cheap IMO). I didn't find out the prices of the mini golf though, but you have to pay at the front to do mini golf.
This place is probably the only place around since they closed Paradise Island/The Spot in Arden.
The place could be cleaner though, but I can't blame them, kids will be kids. We didn't try the food, or the golf or race karts, but they had LINES for them.
Overall, cool spot to check out for the youngsters, or the kid in yourself.
I cannot even begin to count the number of times I have been here! My brother and I used to battle on the mini golf course and I was always slightly better than him. I usually won by either one or two hits in the end. So, it was always a close call with lots of drama toward the end of the course!
I loved the bumper boats too! It was one of the reasons why I always chose Scandia. Who could forget the go-karts? My Dad made me choose between go-karts and bumper boats. I usually picked the bumper boats! Then, my Dad and I would play skee ball afterwards.
Good times!
During the week Scandia isn't so busy, but go there on a Saturday night and you have to wait for everything,I only go there to practice my batting skills but its a great family place. It seems like its getting more expensive to use the cages,I remember when it was only $1.50. Overall Scandia has the best cages.
Been here a couple of times. Nothing too special. A little small, some machines that are out of order. An okay place to come to kill some time. Started a mini golf course game but, after waiting for a family of 5 with a bunch of little kids ahead of us, we gave up on the game. It was super hot outside that day too. Enjoyed the hunter arcade game though.
