OMG, this weekend was a blast, and we owe a big debt of gratitude to scandia. Took my son, some of his friends and some of my friends to play mini golf; it was his first time. He enjoyed it, especially when he was trying to wack the ball like Tiger Woods, i.e. like using a driver. Glad he didn't kill anyone. We had a good time.

But the best part was yet to come. Our group headed over to the bumper boats afterwards. I haven't been on a bumper boat in probably 20 years. It was hilarious! We were the only group out there so they let us play for an extended time. So the six of us got soaking wet, laughing so hysterically that I couldn't even breathe. Water keep going into my mouth I was laughing so hard. It was such a blast, and for me, a blast from the past too. And a time I won't soon forget.

In all my years I've wanted to go to this place and passed it up many times. Finally on a fluke I stopped by today with my three year old daughter. They have a good sized kids area where there are tunnels, slides and ball pits. They have seating for the adults to just hang out while the kids play.

They have a pretty big arcade, laser tag, boat rides and race cars. Definitely a fun place.

I struggle at the star rating for this place...  My review is for the 'clubhouse' only.

The good: half off Tuesdays, $2.50
The bad: everything is worn and torn, literally
The ugly: the strong urine smell ( I cringe at the thought was are crawling in pee or is it because the toilets are so near by)
The bonus: a nice sweaty workout keeping up with the little one

So my Bambam is hyphy and needs to burn off energy and momma is out of options until I remember Scandia from my youth...  A quick drive on a Tuesday afternoon we are there with only one other family, score!  We go to pay and she says $2.50 total, score again!  We turn in our shoes and get to work... We started out in the toddler area which is only a small ball pit, that lasted no time.  We ventured to the big kid maze, whew now that is some sweaty fun, we climbed, crawled, slid and what not for a long while until we were wiped out.  It was well worth the price, we will be back.

Took my daughter and son for a round of Lasertag. Its moments like this that remind that I am no spring chicken anymore. It took alot out of me to be "high" scorer ( there were about 3 others playing with us). I left sweating and breathing hard so it was the most I have worked out in awhile. Best fun for $20 , plus they have hella old school games and cant NO ONE get with me on some Pac-man or Mortal Kombat.

I've driven past this Scandia plenty of times and have always associated it with the Rhonert Park location.  I remember visiting the Rhonert Park location and really liking it as a kid. Well, fast forward fifteen years and I found myself back at the Scandia in Fairfield.  I came up on some free golfing passes and I wanted to come up on my T. Woods game.

The location is easy accessible off I-80, which it makes really convenient and there's tons and tons of eating options nearby.  The entrance to Scandia is pretty visible and shouldn't be an issue, but finding a parking spot can be a little tough.  Additionally, the main entrance for golfer's is a little unclear and might have you walking up and down looking for the right door.

Miniature golf prices are very reasonable with adults being $8 and kids being $5 bucks.  There's plenty of packages for parties and for families wanting to do a little bit of everything, such as golfing, laser tag, batting cages, etc.  There's two golf courses, west and east, both 18 holes.

I played the west course first and skipped the last hole, which takes your ball and played the eastern course.  Both courses are very similar with all your signature mini golf aesthetics, but for one reason or another, I enjoyed the eastern course a little more. The park does look a little rundown and can use a little updating and more upkeep.  For example, on the 9th or 10th hole, my ball got stuck in one of the tubes that pushes it down to a lower course.  A hole or two later, my +1 had the same problem and we had to go to customer service.  After rounding up all 18 holes, we headed inside to see what else Scandia had to offer.

The arcade is endless and will definitely take some of your money.  I skipped the new, expensive games and went for the games I played in the '90s.  One or two of the games I played were non-responsive, but is expected with all the usage from little kids.  I enjoyed my day at Scandia, especially for the price, which is more important than ever these days.  I do think the Scandia at Rhonert Park is nicer, but there's not much that can be done on that aspect.

Looks pretty magical from the freeway, but when you walk in...
So many pinball machines, and not a single one of them works properly. Alot of other games were broken too.  (Airhockey, Skee-ball, among many others)
The staff (If you can find one) act like they couldn't care less and would rather be anywhere else but there.
I'm thinking whoever's supposed to be running this operation must've died or quit many years ago, but none of staff have noticed yet.
Ive never seen such a sad, filthy, broken arcade before in my life.  I would never come back to a place like this.

A lot of fun. Came for mini golfing on a Sunday with the kids. Place wasn't too packed, golf course was good, games were fun--- kids can win a lot of tickets :)

There is also Lazer tag, batting cages, b-day parties and go carts here.

    Good cheap fun!

Con: food is nasty so eat before you come :)

Great Place to have some fun. I love the batting cages. It's a great place to take your kids, and enjoy watching them have a blast!!! I go about once a month, and my son always enjoys it.

The only improvement it needs to make is to the Golf course, a little old and in need of remodeling.

Overral a great place to have fun. :)

First off, this review is heavily based off of the entertainment value for my kids, not just my opinion. For the price I pay for my kids to run amok and have a chaotic good time, 5 Stars hands down.

My opinion is mixed in and I give it a 3 for being dirty and the retro arcade games don't work very well. Those two aspects, if tended to, are an adult's main focus. Kids do not care if it is dirty and they will play whatever games are working before complaining about 3 or 4 broken games, it's not their quarters going into the machines after all.

The tunnel room is the best EVER! I want one in my backyard. It is fairly well maintained, Air conditioned (in certain tube sections) and they allow kids my size (6'1" 165lbs) to play. Just make sure you are able to handle some back pain in the morning.

Oh Scandia.. you are a blast from my childhood and I want so badly to like you, but I feel you could use some major upgrades, some more helpful staff and more security.. what is with the hoodlums in the parking lot?

Over all, we had a nice visit in the evening, but were horribly disappointed that their were no lights and bells when our friend got a Hole In One on the 18th! But being a group of all girls, we screamed and cheered anyway. Also no free game for the amazing feat.. what?!

I went here on a Monday with a group of kids for work. We spent the time we were there in the arcade. For me, the arcade was disappointing. Quite a few of the games were very run down if not completely out of order. Most games cost 2-4 tokens, which seems expensive after going to another arcade where all games are only 1 token.  Overall, the kids enjoyed the trip and that's really what matters.

I really liked this place.  We have a Scandia in Sacramento, but it's no where as big as this place.  I came here with a big group of 15 people.  We all purchased the Super Saver deal which is 19.75.  It comes with 3 attraction/rides, and 10 tokens or batting cages.  We played lazer tag, and rode the go carts twice.

The have a big play house for kids for $5.  Prices are not that bad.  I think this is a perfect place to let your kids run wild and get their energy out.

I would definately come here again.

Golf course - the course is badly in need of an update. It is way too easy. It's a little bit rundown as well.

Arcade - This arcade is terrible, very terrible. Half of the games are broken (seriously, half). The games that do work are half broken. Even the tried and true pinball games are derelict.

overall - Scandia used to be my favorite place to go play mini-golf and pinball. I was so disappointed I didn't even bother to check out the go-karts, bumper boats, or batting cages. The only way this place could go any more downhill is if the building fell down and they continued to use it.

You can get away with doing a lot for cheap when buy the packages they offer. I did go carts twic and the play house with my three year old for $20. No bad. But I do agree with everyone else, dark out dated a little dirty. The games are unbelievably dirty. Bring hand sanitized if you go because who knows the last time they wiped the games down.

But my young kids have fun on the bumper boats and go carts.

We went there on Saturday to play some mini golf...there was a bet involved.  The company involved was the highlight of the day.  Although the mini golf course is nice, unless I really had rose colored glasses on when I was a child, the course had a lot to be desired.  The greens were all tilted, the holes were a bit easy (don't tell my sweetie that!) and of course, I won.  We didn't try any other parts of the park, but many of the arcade games we passed were reminiscent of our childhood.  Don't know if they worked or not.

Scandia!  Talk about a throwback.  I have a love/hate affair with this place.  I love the convenience, the ample parking, the spacious bathrooms.

I hate that it's like a dark dank hole and that 1/2 of the place needs some updating.

Since my kids are all big now, I haven't been since the last time my nephew and nieces came to visit.  But it's a great spot for our team to practice batting at the cages.  The only bummer is that 1/2 the balls fall way short of the plate and many are too low.

Was there for a birthday party, the room was decorated super cute and had a great black light glow, the pizza was surprisingly really good. The girl that was supposed to be helping our party out was horrible and know where to be found at anytime. I wish I could remember her name. The arcade area was extremely run down but the kids did not seem to mind. We played lazed tag which the kids had a blast at. Although one best wasn't working so the poor boy cried afterwards. The counter gal was nice enough to give him a ticket for a free round on his next visit. We also did the playhouse room which my kids always love. The only complaint I had about the playhouse room was it, and the area right outside of it wreaked of urine. That doesn't matter to the kids but makes me question the cleanliness of the place. We were there for an 11 birthday so it should not smell that bad unless it had not been cleaned. All in all it was a good birthday party, the kids had fun, which is all that matters! So so much better than chuck e cheese.

A bit dated. It did have cool old school arcade games I had not seen in years though. Almost all games cost one dollar and the boats and go karts were like 7 dollars to ride. It is a cool place to visit once in a while for a special occasion. Golf and Games in Antioch is gone, this is the best bet.

In the 30+ years i have lived here Scandia has not changed much. Although i do have to say. since the last time i was here they have done a great job cleaning the place up so that it doesn't feel quite as ghetto as it once did.
Over all the two biggest reasons to come here are the three different 18 hole mini golf courses and the go cart track both can be a lot of fun even for us adults.
That said i do have to point out that they have "lamed" up the bumper boats since the last time I was there. Back when I was younger people could whip around in that pool at bumper car speeds, slam into each other and soak em. Now they have changed it so you can tool around at just over the speed of tortoise and squirt each other with tiny water guns (I'm sorry i just cannot bring myself to use the term "water cannon").
so over all fun place to take the kids and lots of good memories.

OK, I admit that I haven't been here in about 20 years or so, but I always enjoyed my little family trips here back in the 80's. When I look back on my memories of being at Scandia, I think about: riding around in the bumper boats and getting splashed with water, playing miniature golf (quite horribly, I might add), and spending hours and tokens in the arcade. Man, that arcade was something...I would always end up there playing old school games like Arkanoid, Burger Time, Centipede, and various other ones that you might remember from the old Atari/Nintendo/Sega Master System days.

In a way, Scandia is kinda like Disneyland without the theme-rides and the folks in cartoon character suits roaming around. The last time I went to a place like Scandia was probably when I went to Golfland in the 408 area a while back, but after typing up this review and reading other Yelpers' reviews, I may have to make a return trip sometime soon.

    Scandia is hella fun.

I was a bit weary coming to Scandia for my first time in years... Ya see, last time i came here i was still a kid. Now that i'm old enough to write Yelp reviews, I had a gut feeling that I would be having a field day writing  how boring and run down Scandia was before arriving... but that definitely was not the case!

Despite what it may look like from the freeway, Scandia actually has a lot of life in it. The staff appears to be a lot of high school/young adults, but they are all incredibly helpful and don't appear to be loathing their jobs. The mini golf course is fun and well maintained. The batting cages are a GREAT deal at only $2 per 25 pitches! The arcade area has a HUGE variety of games, both old and new!

I didn't have a chance to play the Laser Tag, Go-Karts, or Water Boats... but i watched other people play and they all seemed to be loving it... and again- the prices aren't that bad.

I admit, from the outside I never gave Scandia much hope... but i'm sooo glad I came here. It's definitely much better once you get in lol... I definitely plan on coming back soon to take advantage of the $2 batting cages with my friends- and kicking more mini golf butt!

A bit worn down - but lots of fun - and great staff!

Scandia turned out to be Father's Day Plan B after sitting over an hour in a six mile freeway traffic jam leading to Six-Flags.  I figured the lines at the park would be just as bad - so we bailed out.  On the way back is the Cordelia Scandia and I haven't ridden the go-carts with my daughter since ever, so this was a good chance for some cheap dad's day thrills.

For $20 each we got enough tickets and tokens for two hours of fun - 25 pitches each at the batting cage, two 10 lap races at the go-carts, a round of laser tag, and a couple quick arcade games.

My (16 year old) daughter had her first try at batting a softball for years - she popped five or six good hits, with one that would have been a home-run. This was my first try at laser tag - it's a workout and was fun, fast, & exciting - plus the staff gave us an extra round for free!! The laser tag arena and gear are in newer shape than the rest of the center. The go-carts are in good shape, the track is windy with plenty of corners to slide through, and fast enough to feel dangerous, without the need for helmets.

I almost give them five stars because they were very helpful in a pinch - while running around like a mad man in laser tag I lost a pair of $100 prescription shades, and they turned on the lights and helped me look afterwards. We didn't find them, but I left my name and number and that evening they called and said they had them waiting for me at the desk.

Of course I have to drive 100 miles there and back - so I called and asked if they could mail the glasses.  Guess what - they said no problem and no charge!  Great service - thanks Scandia!

I hadn't been to Scandia in about 14 years and a friend of mine and I were trying to come up with something to do on a Sunday afternoon and it popped into my head - mini golf!  The place has definitely aged and is really run down but they still have all the great things - mini golf, arcade, go-karts, water bumper boats and batting cages.  I really just wish they would fix the place up a bit.  The dirty water just sitting in the ponds with no water running was really gross.

But we still had a blast and I'll be back since my friend won a free game of golf and forgot the coupon at my place!  muhahaha :-)

Going to Scandia?  Bring your own security!  I was in the mood to hit up the batting cages today, so around 6'ish I headed over to Scandia.  As I pulled into the parking lot, there were multiple groups of people hanging out in the parking lot, drinking, smoking, and making out.  This is suppose to be a family place?

As I reluctantly stepped out of my car and walked towards the cages, more teens smoking and hanging out upon the walkway.  The cages were good, all in working order with a good variety of softball and baseball cages at various speeds.  25 pitches for $2 bucks, so in all not bad.  You could also buy 25 tokens for $5 bucks.  I gave the guy my ID and got a bat, hit my balls, returned the bat, got my ID back, and headed inside.

There is a big sign outside that says "Drug Free Zone".  I suppose if they had a sign that said "THUG Free Zone", they'd be lying, as I had to navigate through groups of people loitering outside the main entrance.

Inside, the carpets were filthy, the video games were old and most were out of order, hip hop music was playing in the background while two teen girls were freaking each other by the redemption counter.

I don't know if this place is any better during the daytime, but the "Family Fun Center" line of Scandia Family Fun Center seems to be borderline false advertising.  Unless your idea of family are pre-teen thugs dancing to hip hop on sticky carpet surrounded by others who are smoking, drinking in the parking lot and making out.

They do have a wide variety of entertainment options, including bumper boats, indy cars, laser tag and mini golf.  But, seeing as to the fact it was getting dark outside and wanted to get back to my car, hoping it was still there, I dared not explore the rest of the facility.

I am giving it two stars.  It really deserves one star, but I'm being generous because at least the batting cages were all working and I think 25 pitches for $2 bucks is a pretty good deal.

Came to Scandia for a work, team off-site.  Excellent choice in venue although initially many of us thought "Whaaaa, Fairfield?".  We had the go-kart track, ski ball, and one mini golf course reserved for us during the day.  They have good sized party rooms and plenty of activities to keep you busy for a day of fun.  Laser tag was the highlight of the afternoon and everyone got really into it.

Despite all the fun we had, Scandia seems to have aged--could use a little bit of an infrastructure face lift.

When I like to go all out Mary Poppins style, I take the kids to Scandia. Where else can 6 chitlins aged 6-10 have a good time without me freaking out trying to keep tabs on all of them? Scandia is a great place for kids, and I have to admit, I have my share of fun there too. It's in the cuts (25mins north of Berkeley), but a fun place to spend an entire day. For about $20 per person you get a round of mini golf, bumper boats, a ride on the indy cars and tokens for the batting cages or arcade. Prices are here : http://www.scandiafami...

There are height requirements for the indy cars, just a heads up. And sometimes the competition can be fierce. Case in point:
I saw a dad pass up his 10 year old and yell out "IN YOUR FACE TODD!!" A fine example of parenting, if I've ever seen one (but whom am I to judge, maybe the kid was a prick).

There is also a laser tag area and an separated place where you can watch the ongoing play-carnage. You can stage your very own psuedo-Lord of the Flies/Ender's Game/Battle Royale*. I've never seen my typically docile 7 year old buddy geek out as much as he did while playing laser tag. (Think Mel Gibson a la Braveheart) So I was pretty grateful for that glass partition....  and the spare "pre game Ritalin" I keep in my purse.

I was even taken on a date here a few weeks ago. How did he find out my weakness for the carny-esque? Damn you Jason Gellerman! So fun for kids and the proverbial "kids at heart".

This place is in serious need of a overhaul. My daughter and I went there there Sunday morning to play pee-wee golf. The place was dirty and stinky. The golf course was very run down. Some of the holes didn't work properly and the ball would just go through one thing and never come back. One of the holes had not trap to catch the ball. On the 9th hole a black bird attacked my head twice. Very creepy and gross.

We went inside to play some games and at least 25% of them were marked as broken and another 30% just didn't work or took your tokens and didn't work. The game rooms stunk like mold and urine.

It was disgusting and I will never return.

Luckily there is the Jelly Belly factory just a couple miles down the road where you can enjoy a nice tour, some candy and a clean well maintained fun environment for the kids.

This place really should be ZERO stars! Don't waste your time there. Playing at McDonald;s Playland would be better. Anything but this disgusting filthy place. Stay away!

An absolute hole. This place is dirty, worn-down, falling apart, and expensive. Miniature golf for an adult and two kids can cost close to $20. The boat water is disgustingly dirty, and the boats are usually broken in one form or another. The batting cages are a good buy--if you get a machine with power and accurate aim. If you don't, shame on you, because you're not getting a refund.

And still, even with the decline of this place, it is noisy and always filled with rude, badly-behaved people. And their kids aren't any better.

Okay, I honestly don't understand why this place got such great reviews. Scandia used to be such a fun place... when the games actually WORKED. What happened?

About a year or two ago my friends and I noticed a dramatic change in the place and after going there tonight, I've decided not to come back in a long time. Why? Because NOTHING works and the place is getting really run down. I swear, we counted about twenty or more game machines that didn't work. Where the heck are their repairers? It's been this way for almost a year and there really is no excuse for that; either get new machines or fix them. And when you pop a coin in one of the machines that is supposedly working, there's about a 50% chance it will eat your token(s).

All in all, I will not be coming back here anytime soon, except maybe for miniature golf, which is the only decent thing they have here anymore, in my opinion.

Kids seem to enjoy this place. Pizza was alright. The miniature golf course needs to be cleaned and updated. The pools were not even filled with water. But overall, an entertaining place for the kids.

I went here for my birthday when I was 8 or something.  It was a whole lot more fun back then.

We really went here this weekend just to hit up the batting cages.  They have a handful of cages, softball and baseball, slow and fast pitch.  You get tokens from the little change machine out front.  It was out of service so we asked the guys at the little booth in between the cages and the boats.  They said we had to go inside.  After going inside (musty and very old facility) we go back outside to borrow some bats, you have to leave your driver's license so they know you won't steal them.  We waited for maybe 10 minutes for a free cage.  The pitches are pretty even.  If you need them to change it, good luck finding someone.  For $5 we got 3 rounds of pitches.  Pretty EXPENSIVE.  I like that it's outdoors, but not really worth the price you pay.  Plus, its in a pretty sketchy area.  I'd go back, because its the only outdoor batting cages that are close by, but really not my favorite place to be.

Scandia is old, its been around for a long time. I remember going there when i was a kid and having a blast! I still go there and have a blast!
My son has had his birthday party there for the last two years. We get a room in the laser tag area for an hour and a half, two pizzas, sodas and ice cream plus one attraction (we pick laser tag) for $12 per rug rat. The only down side is there's a 10 kid minimum so if only 8 show up you re still paying for 10. But its all worth it for no clean up and a whole lot of fun!
Sure it's run down in some parts but its old! I still have fun and everyone I know does too!

I'm sad to write this because I really do wish that the owners of Scandia would put some money into renovations but, it's an armpit. I took my little brother there for minigolf which he loved. I remember being there as a teen and had a blast but it seemed like nothing has changed! More than half the games are broken, it's dark, and frankly ghetto. There are no places like this besides Chuckie Cheese (ewww) around so I hope they update so we can go back time and time again.

Going to scandia can still be fun... But they need new games.

It's kinda ghetto here (run down a bit and the kids that roam the spot look like trouble makers) but it's hella fun! Scandia's is packed with Arcade coin-ops galore. A mixture of old school games (X-men, Simpsons, Neo-Geo Arcade and of course, Street Fighter!) and the new stuff I barely touch (except for Time Crisis and House of the Dead series) They have a Golf-land like golf course and I believe a race way but I'm so occupied playing the games.

Scandia's brings back a lot of memories... changing $ bills into tokens and just havin' a good time! Back than, having $5 to play arcade games was a blessing from my parents... I made that $5 in tokens count! Now that I'm an adult I spend about $20 and find myself in there for hours LOL! Good times!

Honestly, my friend and I just walked around the place, but it seemed nice enough.  The faux turf seemed like it had recently been replaced, but the rest of it was showing age.  There was an old railroad station that was presumably left over from some sort of train attraction, but it seems silly to leave the station without providing some other form of attraction at that building.

The people seemed a bit eh, but what do you really expect?

It was a blast to walk around and explore!
