I have been having a problem with Scamps for awhile. I bought a dog there, and although I do not regret getting her- she's our little princess- but I hate that we found her at Scamps! She came to us with fleas, worms, staff infection, and an ear infection. So that's where my dislike for them began. Then it just kept growing every time I go back.
Tonight, we went in just to look at the puppies they have and we noticed something strange. They had four Puggles two "born" 7-12 and two "born" 7-21. Well, there was something very off about those dates as the puppies were twice the size they should have been if they were actually born on July 12th. We are Puggle breeders, and we just happen to have a litter born on 7-12-08 and they are no where near that size! They put the wrong birthdate on the card just so that they can sell them for more! fucking crooks.
The Puggle puppies they have are at the very lease a month older than they are claiming- however I would say they are closer to 2-3 months older than what they're advertised as. And the Ferrets they had there today are tiny! definitely younger than the proper age to remove them from mom.
If you go in there and ask to see a couple puppies, they get obviously frustrated for having to "do their job" and show the pets in there if you don't end up buying one of them. They claim it's because they don't want to spread illness... but that's not it. They just don't want to be bothered with it. If you keep the dogs and their areas clean then you will have no trouble with illness. They have a bottle of hand sanitizer for the people to use, so that's not the problem either.
I can go on... but I'm tired. type in "scamps pet centers reviews" in a search engine and you'll get a bunch of sites with reviews almost in unison that Scamps in terrible.
DON'T SUPPORT THEM!
I am very upset with them and BEG that no one support their "cause"!
If you want to see the difference in size, go to our website and look at the pictures, then go to the Scamps in Clackamas on Sunnyside Rd and you'll clearly see the size/age difference!

To the reviewer below, how about you try a rescue and forget pet stores/breeders altogether?
If I could give negative stars, I would. Sure, I have never actually purchased anything from a Scamps store but that's because it would make me hate myself for even entering the doors. I guess that's what happens to people who have a conscience.
