Plushy-feel restaurant that feels like a restaurant exclusively for the polo-ing elite. It overlooks a polo club (hey, how 'bout that?). Anyways, the atmosphere was snotty and a little pretentious. A lot of older folks - married couples and/or groups of older people. I imagine it'd be better coming here with parents or grandparents. Definitely no girls night out and not the type of place to take a hot date.
Their food is good but it's not worth the trip if it takes you more than a 10 minute drive (or maybe less). I got the linguine with clams and it was doable. It tasted okay and I was satisfied after the plate but again, it wasn't out of this world or anything. Ordered calamari as an appetizer and it was clumpy.
Dessert was great though. I got the whiskey sauce bread pudding and they drizzled bicardi 151 and lit that sh** on fire out of the blue. But again, it was tasty: good whiskey sauce and when the waiter lit my bread pudding on fire, it gave it a nice thin layer of crispy deliciousness. -

My family and I ate here when we stayed in Del Mar a couple of summers ago. This was the one restaurant my father insisted we eat at twice before we left because he liked it that much. Great food and good service. Refilled drinks without asking, the waiters are on top of it.
My mom ordered a Bud Light here but it sounded more like "butt light." "Mom, it's not butt light, it's Bud Light!" And then I got kicked under the table. My brother and dad started laughing hysterically and as you can imagine, my mom got pissy. Twas one of the most memorable moments of that summer. -

Absolutely one of the worst restaurants in San Diego County. Can you say snooty waiters? Well this one has them in spades... if you don't look like you have a millions dollars they treat you like crap.
