Best. Donuts. EVER. Only two kinds - sugar Old Fashion and Old Fashion. You can only get them M, W and F. They'll probably be gone by 7:30 a.m. They won't disappoint. Get the sugared one. WOW! I live in MN and will surely miss them for a looooong time.

Nice selection of wines and gourmet snacks, but pricey

Fantastic local market for fresh cheese, gourmet goodies, and a rather impressive wine selection too. Wasn't displeased walking out with fresh bread, wine, and cheese for a picnic on the water.

An offshoot of Sawyer's Market, this store specializes in fine wines and cheeses. It's like a nicer, more local Dean and DeLuca.
Bought an incredible Château Lafite here two years ago. I have not had a wine quite like it since, but then I can't afford to buy several hundred dollar bottes more than every decade or so. But it was SO worth it. Buy it with SS's camembert and you will die a very, very happy person. -

So, when I'm on MDI, this is the place the group of folks I'm usually with and I go for "nosh night". Which means we eat in, after going here and choosing some fabulous reasonably priced wine, super-stinky-almost-walking-barely-legal cheese, olives and other pickled things. . .
I love this place. It is a small shop, but they manage to have a good selection of wine of all types from all over the world, and amazing cheeses - from the less adventurous but very good and unusual to the types mentioned above.
Staff is helpful and knowledgable, and I've never had any complaints. If you and a wine and foodie, this is your place! -

Wow. This shop is small, but filled with amazing wines. This would rival the best wine shops in Atlanta.
From every day sippers to verticals of Musar, I was blown away with what they had on their shelves.
The staff is really friendly, and passionate about their wines. There is nothing else on MDI that comes close.
I love this place (even if their cheese selection adds a certain "ripeness" to the air)...
