Three words - Porn Star Karaoke.

Anyhow on Tuesday nights is when Sardo's becomes a haven for Porn Stars (yes it is advertised as that) who want to enjoy a drink and show off their Karaoke skills, some are actually quite good as are ordinairy audience members. Of course you will get ones (like me) who cant sing a lick, though I can rap. However, I still haven't had the nerve to go up. One day maybe, but last Tuesday was not the day. Very diverse set of music played such as country, hip hop (yes a white girl busted out changes by tupac, which would of made Tupac cry in his grave), classic rock, etc...

So when you come to Sardos, you have to get hear early since the porn star karaoke stuff starts at 10, so by 9 it starts getting packed and honestly it becomes standing room only. Drinks are cheap 4 bucks for blue moon. You can also get mixed drinks as well.

Supposedly some of the porn stars who come on Tuesday are well known, though I wouldn't know of course. But the cool thing they also give out prizes and gifts, so sometimes you may get lucky and take home an autographed DVD or shirt which you can show all your friends.

Anyways nice little joint and entertaining for a bit.

Also dont forget to check in you get a discount on your foo.

    Family Karaoke on Friday Nights!

My daughter loves to be on stage, singing away and Sardo's is definitely her favorite Karaoke place. We go with other families on Friday night from 7pm to 9:30pm. Anyone can get up to sing and it gets quite crazy at times (good crazy that is!). The food is okay but I wouldn't plan on eating dinner here - appetizers like chicken fingers and onion rings are really good though. There is a full bar which helps make even the most off-key warblers sound like beautiful songbirds :)

OK, on the up side, the waitresses are on top of their game despite having a crowd. They make sure to check on you and get you your drinks in a timely manner.
On the down side, "Porn-Star Karaoke" was awful. It should be renamed "Bro-Star Karaoke", all I heard for an hour was Stained, Soul-Fly, and other such non-sense sung by Bro for Bro..I am surprised I didn't hear someone try to sing some Creed.
Anyways, I wanted to sing an 80s song that was actually fun (Sheena Easton's Sugar Walls). When I put in my song in, they said I'd be up in 6 songs....well after 6 Bro songs I went to check up and see if I was coming up soon because my friends wanted to leave. Well one of the girls gave me some snotty reply about being up in few songs. Then they call me up a minute later and tell me they don't have the song I put in....that I found in the Karaoke Book. They gave me some lame excuse about not having all the songs that are in the Karaoke Book?
Why'd they give me the boot? Was it because I asked (one time) when I was up? Or was it because they wanted to keep a cute girl from singing a fun song because it would mess up the Bro song roll they were on? Who knows. But I know I will not be going back.

Check in with Yelp and get 15% discount on your food. They have something going on every night. One day is trivia, another (Tuesdays) is "Porn Stars and karaoke." There are pornstars that are in the audience, they go up and sing Karaoke. I got to see Jennifer Love-Hewitt one night (the actress/singer, don't know if there is an adult star with that name). However, on Tuesdays it's extremely crowded. Get there by 9pm if you want a shot at a booth. The food is standard bar good. Lots of deep fried items.
Blue Moon on draft is $4.50. Not the cheapest an not the most expensive I've paid at a bar for it. It has "dive" bar feel to it, I keep going for that alone. Dress code is "be dressed." If you like 'tinis, then this is not the place for you. If you decide to sing, be aware that half of the singers are quite good.. the other half not so much. The order you song comes up seems to be determine by how much the person running the karaoke likes your song and if you tip when doing the song selection. So, pretty standard bar karaoke.

I've done my birthday here the last 2 years. They have the perfect setting for a good time. Small, divey bar with karaoke, cheap drinks, free table reservations, and no Hollywood type crowd. If you can get over the location, and that its in a strip mall, its awesome. If you can't get over that, well see back to my "non Hollywood" type comment...
Everyone is here to have a good time, true drunken karaoke, dancing and a everyone interacts with each other. My only complaint is if you sit in the booth next to the stage, it is incredibly loud to where you can't speak to anyone around you, but if you have a crowd larger then 8, its the only place to sit. I am from a small town, so finding bars like this always makes me like LA a little more. Anything goes here, ripped jeans and a t-shirt, or a dress and heels, whichever occasion you go here for, you will not feel out of place!

I was invited to a birthday party here and had so much fun!! I didn't stand up and sing, but it was so much fun watching all the of the brave souls get up and sing Karaoke. The drinks are moderately priced. The service was OK. I ordered food at the bar because I couldn't find my waitress and the bartender just left it at the bar, so when I got up to get it, it was cold!! EEWW.....who wants cold nachos??!!! I give the food a 4, but expectations can't be too high because it is a bar...but this is a SUPER fun place! The Karaoke DJ was the best part of the bar. He did an AMAZING job balancing keeping the rounds going, plus entertaining the crowd. I would definitely go back!! And bring more people too!

Ehhhh atmosphere, looked like a decent bar to get trashed, maybe start a brawl. Went there for comedy night and it was ok. Food was ok. Service was ok. The place was......you guessed it ok. Nothing to write home about. I'll go back for comedy night again. Can't be too biased, I totally forgot it was karaoke joint. That's how ok it was.

I've never had to step out of a bar to get a moment of peace in my life. My head was pounding from the non stop ridiculously loud sounds filling the room. There's no escape except for outside. Shrills shrieking out tunes via karaoke and endless DJ's announcing the next terrible song by a worse tone deaf patron. The night I went there wasn't much eye candy but the drinks were pretty decent. The entire night I felt like I was being punished ...I want to feel like I'm having fun, not in purgatory. I was there to celebrate a friends birthday so if you'd like your party to be intimate
aka packed to the gills like sardines, then this is your spot. Bring
earplugs and learn sign language as you won't be able to hear people talking to you. This place lies in a shopping center along the side of a Vons so there is plenty of parking.

Let me summarize last Tuesday for you.

    -I sang "Africa" by Toto.
-A girl took her dress off, punched a birthday cake, and then shoved her cakefist in a midget's mouth as he licked it off.
    -Bono impersonator.

Please go to Sardos. It's amazing.

Sardo's is always a lot of fun and bar area is typically the place to be if you just want to hang out. If you feel like singing, the crowd is there to back you up and many times once the drinks have been flowing, they will come up and join you. The limited food they have is decent and drink prices aren't bad. You NEVER have to worry about parking but get there late and you may end up spending the whole evening on your feet because either all of the tables are reserved or the small bar is just full.

The only thing that I don't like about this place is that the DJs tend to be overly pushy about buying drinks and if you're the DD of the night you get pressured quite a bit. The bartenders however are a different story and will be a good sport.

Overall a fun spot and always worth checking out. Just make sure you double check which "night" it is before you go...

Low-key, down-to-earth karaoke.  And that's saying a lot, considering its unfortunate geographical proximity to Dimples Hollywood-brand "show your tits, you sixteen year old girls-with-fake-IDs!"

    A great little find.

But, hey, Fox + Swan (the self-declared karaoke gods in-residence), I'll cry tears of blood if I have to hear you sing "MMMBop" one more time.  Seriously.  You do it every. single. time.  Your schtick is fun the first few visits, but us regulars find it exhausting.  ;)

Looong wait for said order to reach table
    Drama

The bar it's self was nice.  and the kareokee.  and the Guiness.  But i just wasn't feeling it.  Our waitress was nice.  i dunno.  it was just kinda an average bar.  I doubt i'll go back there.  Too bad i couldn't have come here with Flower.  That might have been interesting.

I love karaoke.  Since I am filipino, to deny such thing would be blasphemy.

Anywho, the only thing that pisses me off about this place is when you just wanna go in, sing a song or two and every damn table is reserved for a party.  This has happened the last three times I've been.  Hella annoying.

Anywho, I do love their food, but yet again, I love fried food and they have a very decent late night menu.  Drinks prices aren't too bad.

We've never really had a problem with the wait staff except the last time we went last weekend.  Our waitress was so sloooow.  I was a server, I understand, but really?  We asked for our ticket and we were wondering what was taking so long, so we look over and she's chatting it up with the bouncer guy across the room.  She saw us staring at her and went and got our ticket finally.

I usually have a great time, but most of the time I have to be completely hammered.

Plus only do karaoke when the guy is doing it.  The girl blows and only lets the same 5 people go the whole night after she announces one submission per person.

A cool neighborhood karaoke spot with cheap drinks and decent sound. I've never been to Dimples, but let me just say: free, ample parking. IN A PARKING LOT! WITH LIGHTS! So how can it get any better than that?

The crowd is very supportive and understanding, which is important for those who sound awful in every key and genre such as myself. There's a decent mix of guys/girls, singles/couples, etc. for those who are mindful of such things.

I've been there on dead nights and been there on busy nights. It's hit or miss. If you want the busy bar scene, try Thursday through Saturday around 11. If you want plenty of time to sing, Sunday at 9 is the way to go.

Can't wait to try family karaoke with my surrogate little sister!

I go to Sardo's every Wednesday night for Pop Quiz Trivia.  It's a great time.  Kelly does a great job hosting, and the questions are usually good.  Danielle is the best bartender ever, and the rest of the staff is excellent.  I am not a karaoke guy, but I hear that the karaoke kicks Dimples' ass.

Sardo's is our favorite karaoke bar, hands down. We've been coming here since 2006 for a reason!

Parking is free and ample, an uncommon trait for many karaoke bars. Becca and Jason are both excellent K.J.'s, managing to keep the energy up and the song rotation fast. They have a pretty huge book and if they don't have something you want they'll usually try to find it for you. Also, the sound system is one of the best we've ever experienced. We can say that definitively because we are terrible singers and it makes us sound adequate.

It's a popular venue for locals, so make sure you get there early so you can get your songs in. Even when it gets really busy you can usually get in a couple of songs. Just make sure you turn one in as soon as you get there and have another one ready to turn in as soon as you sing. They are pretty strict about the one-song-per-rotation rule, which we are thankful for! Good news is you can always sing with your friends without losing a turn.

Speaking of friends, we've made a lot of them here. Most of the people that come to Sardo's are really friendly and just want to have a good time.

We are happy to call Sardo's our home and suggest you join us!

p.s. The kitchen is closed on Sundays, but they'll let you bring food in.

I've been here a couple of times, mostly because friends invite me. I would normally go on Mondays for Rock Band, but I'd sing along in karaoke as well, or I'd have fun watching my friends. Last time I went though, it seemed that karaoke was very highly favored over Rock Band (3 people to karaoke, then one Rock Band song), which is understandable in a sense, but when you have karaoke seven days a week, you would think it would be cool to give the other option a little more leeway, especially when it's only for a night. As far as I know now, they don't even have Rock Band 3. Now I hear Mondays are more of a general talent show/variety night type thing. Haven't been but I'll add my review if I ever go again.

The food and drinks are okay. They're not culinary masterpieces but they satisfy the belly when you're hungry. The place is a bit small too, and kind of looks like one of those old-fashioned family restaurants, so it can be difficult finding seats.

So, some might disagree, but I'm partial to Sardo's as it is a favorite haunt of mine.  Every Monday night (up until 2 weeks ago) was RockBand night and it was the same (amazing!) crowd every week. At the beginning of the year management decided that Monday's were now "Variety Night" complete with an open mic for local poets and musicians. Hmm... we'll have to see about that...

Jason, the host, Is a riot and the servers are THE BEST (tip them kindly!).  Get there early (before 10:00) if you want a chance to get your band/drunk-karaoke-seems-like-a-good-idea-self up there without having to wait forever.

Can't say that I've had anything other than the mozzarella sticks and fries (one (or 6) too many beers and they weren't extraordinary, but the did hit the drunk spot.

    as always Enjoy!

P.S. Trivia night on Wednesdays isn't so bad either! Good luck, though... the regulars are smart bunch.  Reminds me of the Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode "Super Trivia".  I'm sure there's a Wayne "The Brain" McClain in the bunch :)

Not bad for Saturday night with the girls for karaoke. The real crowd shows after 11pm. The waitresses try to be very attentive, regardless of how busy. Not an amazing beer selection, but a very creative alcoholic and non-alcoholic alternative menu. Additionally, a full bar allows you to order anything. They take reservations, everyone is friendly, and most importantly...clean bathrooms - even after midnight!

My Night - 25th Bday - Sat Night - Reserved Table - Party of 10

*** If you want to get alot of stage time - Go early.  Like 8:45 - 9:PM.  Go with a group, and get on stage with your friends for their songs.  The VJ's wont kick off people who sing a bunch with other people, as long as each person only has one song in the cue.

    THE BAR:
First things first, there is nothing special about this place.  There is a bar, with bar stools.  There are tables.  There is a Square area designated for karaoke, and more often than not there are people.  No windows either.  Which was something that made the place feel like my grandmas basement .

    THE STAFF:
Cool Fun People.  Good looking waitress.  Friendly peeps.  They gave me a bunch of free beer because it was my birthday and I was stirring up the crowd.   The VJ was great, he kept giving me shout outs which in turn gave me more free beer.

    THE PEOPLE:
The people there were Cool too.  Some guy dressed up like Bono and sang Sunday Bloody Sunday.  I shouted and pointed at him alot.
People were pretty tame however.  Not to many randoms got up on stage with our group.  Which was a bummer.

    The Close:
I dig lounges, and Bars that had some kind of cool aesthetic.  This did not.  The VJ was cool.  Even in my Drunken stupor he calmly asked me to get step off of my table and sing on the floor.  However I do not remember anything about anything other than Beer and "The Bad Touch".....Oh, and Bono.  I do remember Bono.

Dimplesis Def better.  They have props there, the virgin Dvd gag, and the occasional Mr Belding.  and the wait time is about the same, once the ball gets rolling.  At all these places you gotta get there early.  Cause they fill up.  Michaels is also a good choice.

    basically, f@$! this place.

I'm pissed, though, so give me a second to let everything settle...

... no, really, I'm settled. f@$! this place.

I went here once with some friends for Tuesday night "Porn Star Karaoke," and it was a decent time. not the greatest, but not awful. what I mean here is that when I ordered a drink, I was brought a drink (within at least 30 minutes.) so, when my friends who had never before been there suggested it, I was at least marginally excited.

thank goodness they made it so easy for me to not make that mistake again.

second experience at Sardo's went like this:

bouncer asks for ID. bouncer is given ID. bouncer asks for backpack. bouncer is given backpack (with some trepidation). bouncer impatiently asks for bicycle helmet. bouncer is given bicycle helmet and is reminded that bicycle helmets are generally harmless. bouncer asks for ID. bouncer is told that ID has already been given. bouncer asks for ID to be taken out of plastic casing, so that a thorough scan can be done. FINE. bouncer thanks patron. patron thanks bouncer and moves on.

patron looks for friends. patron does not immediately see friends. patron is rapped smartly on the shoulder by staff and told to move OUT of the way, because he is IN the f@$!ing way. FINE.

patron finds friends. patron attempts to enjoy evening. patron orders drink. patron is poured a drink, and THEN told that there is a $10 minimum for cards. he thanks the bartender and says that he has no cash and is only planning on ordering a single drink. he is told that rules are rules. FINE. he apologizes and cancels his drink.

patron is called back to the bar. "Seymour wants to talk to you, bro." Ok. Seymour seems like a reasonable guy.

Seymour is NOT a reasonable guy. Seymour insists that there is a $10 minimum on cards. that's fine, says patron, I don't want a drink after all.

NO, says Seymour. it's $10 to be IN the bar. but there was no cover! thinks patron. yes, says Seymour, but there are signs posted saying $10 per person. patron sees no sign. Seymour insists that they are there. FINE. patron pays for a drink, pays for a bottled water, requests that the balance be charged, drinks his drink and leaves.

patron requests his things back from bouncer. I would like to leave here as fast as I possibly can, says patron. bouncer SYMPATHIZES. I wouldn't be here either, unless I had to be, says bouncer, f@$! this place.

patron gathers his things and steps outside. he looks around for the sign that says "$10 minimum entrance fee." finds none. locates a young man with a shirt that reads "SECURITY." asks if he knows where there exists such a sign. the young man replies NEGATIVE. how long have you worked here? asks patron. AT LEAST A YEAR, says SECURITY man.

yeah. so. THAT's what I think of Sardo's. the bar that capitalizes on our generation's love of Nick at Night. @#$%!

the next time they try to charge you a $10 minimum, tell them it violates Visa's rules for merchants (http://usa.visa.com/do...). then, if they tell you it's a $10 charge just to exist in the place, tell them to go f@$! themselves.

Hey, Tuesday's are friggin sweet in Burbank or Toluca Lake, wherever you live.

Dollar tacos at El Torito at one end of Pass Ave (and 3 frickin .75 for a marg!)  and Porn Star Karaoke at the other end with all the parking you want.

When you come in here on a Tues night be prepped for the reserved spots for the porn stars--if you're lucky I hear Katie Morgan and Ron Jeremy are frequenters--and the one for Larry Vegas (gals, put your ta ta's away if your don't want to "accept the rose" bachelor style)

But do come in here for a B-day party if you happen to have one mid-week.  Excellent.  Heavy-handed drinks, a karaoke book bigger than the actual bible and a D.J. who WON'T stop-CAN'T stop the beat!!!!   he's the best reason to be there.  I saw him hard core chillin to a Snoop song flippin us all off West Side style!

    So it's a 2 drink minimum and Happy Hour is $2 margarita's and domestics 4-7 M-F.
Love the waitresses tee's.  If you live in the Valley it's a sin not to visit.

    D.A.D. , 4th volume:

I popped someone's cherry at Porn Star Karaoke.

After deciding I wasn't drunk enough yet at Don Cuco's, we took our party to Sardo's for its famous PSK.

Arriving at about 10:30 the place was already packed and maybe I was making more of it but I just imagined I was being lecherously leered at by every male in the place who was mentally casting me in their next movie - no worries however, as "Sasha Firethorne" isn't on the public market - you can look my friends, but you cannot touch ;-)

Luckily for our group a booth opened up almost right away and we snagged it so we had prime seating for the night. Good thing because we closed down the bar.

Although I was quite drunk I do remember I rousing rendition of Baby Got Back, two guys killing it at Paul Revere and yours truly getting her friend Plums up there for his very first time to my fav Karaoke tune Nothin' But A G Thang. He had a blast and a new star is born (although I am unsure of his Porn Star name, will have to get back to you on that) I also remember singing a song at one point and looking over to what had to have been a porn star, locking eyes and singing a verse together - there you have it, as close as this Ms.Firethorne will get to a girl-on-girl action.   Towards the end of the night there was also two girls making out right in front of us, I swear I expected the bow-chic-a-bown-bown music to start....

    PSK= good dirty fun.

Tip: Be careful on what you order - I think our bill was ridiculously high and unfortunately we were all too toasty to really figure it out - $361.00?? I am not entirely sure we drank that much (although I have to admit there were many double vodkas on there, maybe that's what did it...)

It was pretty ridiculous how tied in everyone was at the bar.  I was meeting up with Catherine and a friend of hers.  While waiting I shared the bar with 3 guys and then when Catherine got there, her friend knew that guys already sitting at the bar.  Then later, another friend from football, new the guys that were at the bar as well and it just ended up as one giant group of acquaintances.

The bar was pretty crowded and there were large parties that pretty much dominated karaoke the whole night, only allowing us to sing one song each.

One of our friends, took it upon himself to, "hijack" someone else's song, of course it was "Slave 4 U" which was just out of control and head my belly hurting.  The best part is that girl was pretty oblivious to it, I don't know how, but it happened.

I definitely would want to go back, maybe meeting up earlier or something to get a table in the front.

Bartender was really cool and the fries were pretty decent.

A two drink minimum?!  Who the hell do you think you are Sardo's?  I was planning on drinking more than two drinks but when you MAKE me do so, that just pisses me off.  Strike number two against Sardo's is that there are NO beers on tap.  Outrageous!  I can drink out of a bottle at home, and I can just have one of if I want to.  There's no one at home forcing me to drink two drinks!  Grrrrah!

The karaoke itself was okay.  I don't like that you have to look to the side away from the croud to see the words on the screen.  They should have a screen more towards the front of the non existent stage.  Also, we got there with a party of about 10 and there were no seats available for us.  We had to split up our group for part of the night until a big enough table opened up.  The waitresses were nice enough, but a little pushy if you ask me.

I won't be returning back here.

I really didn't know what to expect the first time I walked into Sardo's.  From the outside, I thought it was just a restaurant, with no bar.

When you first walk in, there are some tables and the bar is in the back. It does have that feel of a restaurant. I mean, when I think of bars, I think of dark places with a juke box and maybe some pool tables or darts.

The bartenders on the times I have been there are less than friendly. It took awhile for me to even catch anyone's attention to get a drink.  That is, until I officially met them and then they recognize me , now when I come back  I get better service.

The girls that work their are fun.  And cute.  The karaoke is not too bad either.  People can usually sing and if not, they are at the very least, entertaining.  The only down side to the karaoke is thier song selections are very limited and seems to be out of date, with only 40k songs to choose from.

This place always seems to be full of people.  It's not the least bit dirty or unkept.  Food is good and served rather quickly.  They sell Vegetarian burgers so they automatically get bonus points!

Tuesday nights is there famous Porn Star Karaoke night.  You need to get there early if you want to find a table or call ahead to reserve one.

What I like most about this bar is that  it's local, I don't get harrassed by drunk rookies like I do at every other bar, people go to have fun, sing, maybe pick up on people but mostly just to hang out with thier friends and have a good time.

    I'll see you there!

How many places actually enforce the 2 drink minimum rule? I found one, this place. While I personally enforce a 6 drink minimum on myself, some people like the ones I have been to this place with don't drink like fish. Before we leave the waitress comes over and tells them to order another drink or they will be charged when they close their tab. They were regulars too, what bar treats regulars like this? Luckily I'm not a regular and I don't have to go back.
The place can also be a real freak show like the 2 man child friends who bring dates and sing duets with each other all night while shaking like maniacs, there should be rules to how many times a song from RENT or Grease can be done, scary people should stay in the alley and not sing, someone get the MC some uppers before he kills himself on stage during Living on a Prayer.

It is often cited that smoking tobacco is the leading cause of tar consumption. Parallely, researchers have determined alcohol to be the main catalyst for karaoke.

Every year we arrive at this destination to celebrate Ms. Paradise's birth, and consistently, every year a great time is had. The place has a good vibe to it mainly I think because the waitstaff and management are always friendly and welcoming. Even though we only go there once a year, they remember us and treat us like beloved regulars.

The waitresses are on the ball with the service too. Anytime a drink was getting down to the ice, she would magically appear to inquire if we were in need. Once the order was filled she would reappear drink in hand within about a minute's time. Such promptness makes other waitresses in other spots look bad in comparison.

The decor is divey with zero pretension, adding to the atmosphere and helps ease folks into the idea of getting up and singing in front of a room of unfamiliar faces. And the set up is good for groups of people, just call ahead and ask to reserve some space.

To sum up, it's a fun, silly night out if you're feeling like warming up the pipes or secretly have visions of being the next American Idol.

p.s. They have trivia on Wednesday nights and Rock Band Karaoke on Mondays. Haven't checked those nights out yet, but it sounds like fun.

I have always had a great time here. My worst times here were better than most "good times" at other Karaoke bars.

This place has been in my life since I was six (grew up at Lakeside apts) and even since I moved out of state, I always visit whenever I get into town.

I haven't really ate here but only by coincidence, not for any reason but I look forward to it once I move back. It's always made me feel really welcome and some great times have been had here and I am sure many more are to come.

I'm surprised so many have complained about the 2 drink pre-requisite. As a karaoke-cocktailer myself, it sounds pretty normal and more than reasonable. Who goes out to a karaoke bar to have one drink? It just seems like a very drinky setting.

Anyway, total 5 stars for me.
