Neighborhood: Queens/Floral ParkThis is the best Indian restaurant i've ever eaten in, including Dawat and a bunch of other places in the NY area. I've tried most items on the menu. The weekend buffet is a great value. There are a few dishes that they make that i cant find as good anywhere else. The mulligatawny is amazing. So is the chicken makhni, its the richest and most flavorful i've ever eaten, perhaps they use alot of ghee? The birijani is full of flavor, and for dessert the gulab jamun is also really wonderful. The Nan, garlic or regular is much better than your usual nan.
I've eaten here about 25 times over the years and its always fantastic, i go there with friends and family and everyone loves it. Highly recommended.

We went for the buffet. The weekday price was not in effect and they decided to charge 10.95 for President's Day. I thought that was pretty high, especially for what we got. The food was good, especially the palak paneer and the tandoori chicken. I'm not exactly sure why places charge 4 dollars for a mango lassi, although if people keep paying it, why not keep doing it? The fruit cup type dessert was tasty but there was another dessert that seemed to be a sweet cream with spaghetti in it. This second dessert was a little funky tasting.
The service was good, although not much is required of a buffet. If we had paid 7 dollars instead of 10, I might have rated this place higher.

The food here is good, however, slightly overpriced. Not much for ambience, but if you're looking for authentic Indian, here's the place. They have both North and South Indian cuisine. Have not had the buffet yet, but from all the reviews, I will have to check that out soon :)
I finally had the buffet and it was oh so good and so worth your money.
Best Indian food in eastern Queens.
The lunch buffet is a great bargain but the selection is limited. Dinner is a different story.
Poori (smaller than Baluchi's but better), garlic naan, meat samosas (meaty indeed), lamb vindaloo, and chicken korma. all De-lish. Entrees are $12-15.

The lunch buffet is outstanding. From the creamy tomato sauce of their Chicken Makhani to the tangy spinach of the Palak Paneer. The staples are varied and always well prepared. Every now and then they introduce some wonderful new addition. Dinner is great as well.

This place is off the chain! The food is amazing. It is almost as good as the Jackson Diner.
Scratch that, the food is better than the Jackson Diner.
You want an experience? Go on Sunday for the buffet.

Can someone say Buffet?? I'm a newbie when it comes to Indian food so, when my fiancee picked this for her birthday dinner I was quite happy! There was a grand selection of foods from chicken tikka to goat curry. This is a great place to bring someone who hasn't had indian cusine before to sample all the varities that Indian cusine has. I especially enjoyed the Chili Chicken. Spicy! Great Poori bread and nan! All for a price $7 on weekdays and $8 on weekends. Highly recommended.

good stufff from santoor!
i've only done takeout from these guys, but the prices are reasonable; and rice is included.
i've tried their spinach paneer - tasty; tonight i had the veggie korma - super tasty! plenty of veggies... my dad had the goat curry which was really nice and tender...
the mango lassi was a little on the small side, IMHO, but the garlic naan had the right texture and lightness.

I've been to alot of Indian restaurants and this one has to be up there in terms of food quality. Located within an Indian community which further indicates how good the food is. I must bring a date next time as the decor is for the ladies.
