3 reviews for Santa's Wonderland
My wife and I have drove through here each Christmas for the last three years. Wow, quite impressive.
This last year they switched out about a million incandescent bulbs with LED's to lower power consumption.
As impressive as this is (and undoubtedly massively profitable for the proprietors), we just wish it were a little more affordable. After waiting in line for half a mile or more, that $25 (or was it $30?) entry fee comes as quite a shocker. It's like, oh, excuse me? How much did you say? Lord... I can only imagine having a back seat full of children .... Know what I'm sayin'?
Anyway, I complain about prices everywhere, more lately.
The parts we really enjoyed were the tunnels and of course the "Aggieland" with giant maroon walls is quite breath-taking.
Cold December night + hot cocoa + slow hayride through TONS of lights + 2 happy kiddos = 5 stars - 2 hour trip with loooong line to get in and leaving Wonderland to find car stuck in the mud= 4 stars!!
Admission to Santa's Wonderland is $5 adults and $3 kiddos which isn't bad for the little town facade that's been created. It holds cute lil shops, a live country band, stands that sell hot cocoa and kettle corn, petting zoo and pony rides, classic Christmas movies on a big screen, several fireplaces and fire pits, and even a fake snow machine that suddenly blasts lil snowflakes and bubbles over the crowd of squeeling kids.
Instead of driving through, we decided to take the hayride tour. This 30 minute ride, which costs $10 for adults and $8 for kids, goes through many many lights and pretty sights, even lil setups of Santa's house and workshop, A&M football scenes, and religious scenes.

- Cool (2)
This is definately something you have to experience at least once during your stay here in Aggieland! Make sure you have a big cup of hot cocoa, and steer clear of the slightly stalkerish elvis impersanator.
