Staying at this place makes me want to quit my job and tour every B&B in the U.S. and abroad. From the moment we checked in we were pampered beyond any expectations.
First of all, the rooms are huge. I loved the canopy bed. Amenities are: remote controlled gas fireplace; soft and luxurious robes; marble bathroom with soaking tub and two sinks; balcony with a view of the lush grounds; dvd player with access to the inn's library...just to name a few.
Now onto the really good part....food, wine, and then more food and more wine!!! We started the evening with a trip down to the dining room for free appetizers, which included a scrumptious cheese plate....yum! Oh, and let's not forget the wine! Your choice of red or white...or both... from a local winery. And filler up because you can drink all you want!
Hubby and I walked to have dinner just down the street and came back to the B&B to find desserts and coffee in the dining room. We cozied up on the couch in front of the fireplace to savor our excellent find.
In the morning be prepared to eat hearty again because there is a huge breakfast spread included in your stay. Wow, french toast with bananas, pecans, whipped cream and syrup?!! Are you kidding?! Yep, that sounds good to me!
The grounds surrounding the inn are immaculate...so much so that the gardeners were out in full force by 7am...ugh. Yes, my only complaint. But, no worries, we couldn't hear them in our room with the windows closed. Good thing because we had an over-indulgence in wine to sleep off!
