So whether it's the one in Suburbia, or the one In Philly I'm pretty mixed on this place. Respectively both might be the best place for Burrito's in Center City and The Suburbs. But in both instances that only really says so much and I'd rather go to a Cantina or one of Philly's Taqueria's in South Philly.

I'm using this one as the examples because I like it's size better, it has a better outside eating area, and overall it hooks up better service just by a little bit. But by comparison too other places the burrito's are a little off where size and value is concerned. And I'm not really into the Salsa and Guacamole that they hook up. And while the idea of getting free Jelly Belly jellybeans might be nifty to some, The concept of finding a couple jelly beans directly under your large chicken burrito and chips kind of freaks me out. good in theory though.

I'm really surprised at the lack of praise here on yelp for Santa Fe. I absolutely love this place. The prices are good, the ingredients are fresh, and it's just all in all good food. My standard choice is the high test nachos, which is seriously the greatest thing I have ever tasted. I always order an extra bag of chips because I try to eat as much of this stuff as possible in one sitting. I'm originally from Texas and I know mexican food pretty well, and I will agree it's not the most authentic place, but this is Philly, folks! I'd say this is definitely the closest thing I've found on the main line to decent mexican. I've had burritos as well and they are super tasty. They have so many great choices for vegetarians as well!

I am a vegetarian and I have been going to Santa Fe Burrito almost every week since it opened. I really enjoy the black bean Chile it is my favorite. My children really enjoy the bean burritos and quesadillas.
The store is designed as more of a takeout with a few tables if you care to sit down. If I were to compare this establishment to a Taco Bell it would win hands down.
What I like is there are good quality ingredients in almost everything they make. Fresh items are made daily and you are served in a matter of minutes. There are not tons of places for a vegetarian to eat period and this place is one I always feel comfortable in going to.

Wow.  Really not good.  While it's well established that I'm pretty picky about my burritos, I almost have to argue that they don't serve burritos here.  My "extra hot" pollo adovado burrito was more like a tastless chicken & cheese sandwich - no beans, salsa, guac or anything resembling mexican could be identified.  When we asked the cashier to explain the differences between the 5 chicken offerings on the menu, she said she was a vegetarian (we didn't ask you to eat them in front of us... just to explain what they were).  This was my third and final try at Santa Fe Burrito.  Two stars because I did actually manage to eat my lunch... and it's still better than the neighboring Delancey Street bagels.

I'm updating my previous review, and if I could, I would add half a star - I just got a coupon that says they now deliver!!  I have been waiting several years for them to start delivering.  Now I can have my delicious food and not even have drive the whole two minutes it takes to get there.

Oh, plus...since my last review, I have eaten at Chipotle, lots of times, in fact, and I still dig Santa Fe!

was in here again yesterday, this time taking along 2 friends who had previously never been, and are now both fans. we all LOVED our burritos, and, having gotten the regular size, all had another half to heat up and enjoy for dinner later! service was fast & friendly and i was even given a coupon to use for next time (score!)

...and that next time turned out to be today as my boyfriend asked if we could lunch here after i picked him up at the train station (conveniently located across the street)!

SFB scores a 5th star for providing me with 3 tasty meals in 2 days :)

If you shop at the Genaurdi's in Wynnewood you have a very high probability of receiving a very nice $1 off coupon on the back for the nearby Santa Fe Burrito.  Well, since I can walk there, I decided to redeem it one lazy "don't want to drive to Chipotle on City Ave for a burrito" evening.

Hmmm...I was def curious..but then I remembered that my brother had recommended the place to me when he was in town with his friend.  I can never trust him on what he recommends in regards to Mexican food as he thinks Taco Bell is the best thing on earth and is on first name basis with the guy at the window.

Moving on...Santa Fe has a a daily special board on the window and the day I went it was $4.95 for the mini burrito of the day (chicken and black beans) and a drink.  Cool, I'll do it and use my coupon.  Well, I couldn't use my coupon because it was already a "special".  No worries though, I did the special anyways.  It was pretty deece.  I had to ask for hot sauce though as they don't have any sitting out on the tables for you.  I didn't think that the burrito was that bad, it just wasn't the best I've ever had.  The ingredients are not as fresh as Chipotles, but they aren't quite as busy.  Hm, I don't know if the two balance each other out.

Mini burritos sans specials (without a drink) is $4.95.  I guess that isn't too bad.

I think that I would only go back if I was too lazy to drive to Chipotle, but I'm going to be able to walk to one soon as they are opening a Chipotle on Mainline.  Great success!

Oh yah, I almost forgot!  Santa Fe actually gives you a couple of chips with your burrito as well as jelly beans!  They are hidden under the chips.  When I went I had two individually wrapped jelly beans to finish off my meal.  You may miss them though as they were (as I have just mentioned) hiding under chippers.

One of the worst burritos I've ever had. You can't even call these things burritos. Some of the major problems: Tortillas aren't grilled. The fillings aren't cooked right -- and that includes ingredients/options that shouldn't be in any self-respecting burrito. (Want proof? Just look at the photo of the Pollo Adavado in the SFB website and try to keep your appetite.) Prices.

If it wasn't for the utter lack of quality Mexican places on the Main Line, this place would have closed long ago. As it stands, because Philly is coming so late to the Mexican game, this place actually has sister locations in town. I've been trying to forget my experiences here and hope that maybe I can ward off some others in time.

If you've ever had a real, first-rate burrito (por ejemplo: El Farolito, Pancho Villa or Taqueria Cancun in SF), you don't want this rubbery, undercooked, underwhelming hodgepodge. Not recommended.

I give Santa Fe Burrito three stars only because pickins are slim burrito-wise on the main line. I used to go here only because it was the closest burrito and who wants to drive more than 10 minutes for a mediocre for a slightly less crappy burrito?

The "Santa Fe" part of the name is pretty revealing here. These are most certainly burritos from north of the Rio Grande. You can get all sorts of crazy ingredients stuck into your mediocre burrito here. It will cost you, but it won't make the burrito any tastier.

The interior is mildly amusing. Maybe we'll call that the third star.
