It's a nice little walk out to the lighthouse. May be a bit tricky finding a place to park, especially if Aldo's (the restaurant nearby) is open.
The breakwater/jetty is interesting, the outer portion is built up with huge cement pick-up jacks. The waves come in and are diffused before hitting the inner part of the j jetty. However, waves may come up over the surface, so try not to turn your back on the angry sea! -

So beautiful!
Not your standard lighthouse but it does shine that big oh so bright needed light for the ships.
This lighthouse sits at the entrance to the Santa Cruz Harbor and is also nestled along Seabright Beach. Its a non manned lighthouse. You can't go inside, just stand next to it for picture taking.
Path along the beach is paved and OK for wheeled access.
You'll have to park in the harbor parking lot or on the street in the neighborhood. There is a bathroom in the parking lot of the harbor as well. -

My morning walk includes the ritual of touching the star that sits atop of the plaque thanking all of the individuals who made this great spot possible-Yikkes, who flitched the star??? Gone. Removed, by someone who assumed they were worthy to take it from this fine monument.
I called the park service folks too, but who knows how quickly they will fix/repair. Simply in poor taste, don't cha think? -

We were very excited to find this lighthouse while wandering about Seabright Beach. The view from this area is definitely lovely and the lighthouse itself is picturesque. Walk towards the other side and you'll find an excellent view of the harbor, with bright boats and what not.
I took tons of pictures of this area--take a look =)Listed in: Wholesome Activities
