I'm not a huge fan of Waikiki beaches, but this one is probably the best. Great for kids because the water here is extremely calm...a reef blocks all the waves.
It's located just past the Waikiki Aquarium. It's a fun place to tan, hang out, float in the water...it's not too crowded. Like I said, Waikiki beaches aren't the best on the island, but this may be the best one in Waikiki :)
This is a must for tourist to check out. Outside of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki but still get the vibe of Waikiki. No matter what hotel you're staying at, it's walkable.You can check out all the stores on the way.
No strong currents, clean water and a chill atmosphere.
Talk to the locals BBQing with the ohana and enjoy the time.
Really nice sunsets and really hot people.

This is an excellent beach for families and people who are still getting used to the ocean. The water is shallow near the beach and fairly calm. You see a lot of small children playing close to shore and a little further out is great for distance swimming.
A great place to spend the day.
There are usually not a lot of crowds and as many local people as tourists. It is located at the Diamond Head end of Waikiki at the New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel.
Check online to make sure the jellyfish are not out and the beach is open!

This is a great beach. Perfect for families and romantics. It is sandy and free of strong currents. And not very crowded. Very relaxing to suntan the day away here.
