To Rich's point, I stayed at this hotel while at a business conference. The hotel is beautiful and their rooms have some awesome views. Actually, you have great views from the pools or the lounge areas, too. Wi-fi is included and it worked well.
Unfortunately, you need a car to get anywhere and there don't seem to be any night/dance clubs nearby. You can boat to Sanibel Island but there isn't much to do there either. It may be convention oriented, but it's not close to the airport, which I found kind of annoying.
If you just want to stay on one property for relaxation, this may be a good hotel to stay at. Otherwise, not so good.
The hotel is beautiful and I wish I could give it a higher rating, but there are hotels in other areas with the beauty but without the inconveniences.
We stayed here for almost a week - wish we would have rented a car. There is nothing to do other than sit by the pool. The restaurants on the property are good however, especially the breakfast buffett. There are awesome views from every room. I do NOT however, recommend the spa. I had a 1-hour massage & a body scrub - way too much $$ for what I received - I should have taken my $$ to an off site spa.
If you stay here, make sure to rent a car, eat at their restaurants & avoid the spa!
