  I am a "small Business owner", but my small business is 5 residential rental units.  I have used Chuck and San Diego Plumbing many times.  As you can imagine a plumbing problem can be problematic for a tenant and costly for a landlord.  Chuck has always gotten to my calls in a very prompt fashion, and I have found that his pricing has alway been fair.

  this is my SECOND review of this company after chuck the owner complained to yelp about my last post and they actually took it off this website....how can these reviews be 100% correct if the owners of businesses can have them removed if they don't like what a paying customer wrote about them?
  
  anyway....i recently had a clocked drain and all the available chemical drain openers at the stores could not open it up.  unfortunately i did not do a good enough search for a reputable company and found these two guy's....chuck and his helper.  
  
  the equipment they use is sub-standard, they are very rough on your equipment such as the faucet etc, they don't bring cleaning products or rags to clean up their mess.
  
  after about 30 minutes they were NOT able to open up my clocked drain and tried to upsell me on their hydro-jet service......for an upcharge of about $300 of course.  they demanded FULL payment for the UNFINISHED job and left.  (who demands payment for a JOB not done?)
  
  the next day i hired a different company and they were able to open up the drain in about 15 minutes without any problems, cleaned up the area with their own cleaning equipment and left.

  In actuality you refused a recommended hydro jetting after a half hour of snaking on your drain. Hydro jetting (high water pressure) would have resolved your problem in a timely and proper manner as your drain was caked full of food and sludge. Because you refused this proper service... we had to work an extra hour totaling aprox 1.5 hours work. It got to a point that we felt bad and didn't want to charge you any more then the initial quote of 110 so we once again recommended hydro jetting which you again refused. Yes Hydro jetting is more money it's a 3,000 machine! and your total would have been 275 We were being nice to you by only charging the 110. After all we did perform our work. The other company that came in and snaked and cleared the drain in 15 minutes as you say likely wouldn't have succeeded if it wasn't for our aprox 1.5 hours of work. Our equipment is mostly Gorlitz  the finest equipment made by man and we had towels there you drain was so bad it required almost a whole bag of towels. You are obviously just upset because you had to pay not only for our service but for the other company. Had you allowed us to hydro jet....none of this would have ever happened and you would have been happy.  It doesn't always pay to go the cheap rout. And when you do.... you shouldn't put down the people that were there to help you. Yes... for a fee but we were there to help you nevertheless.
